  1. in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made the world.

  10. Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brothers so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
  11. He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house.
  12. For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.
  13. Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later;
  14. For who provoked Him when they had heard? Indeed, did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?
  15. For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”;
  16. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him to whom we must answer.
  17. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things just as we are, yet without sin.
  18. And having been perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey Him,
  19. to whom also Abraham apportioned a tenth of all the spoils, was first of all, by the translation of his name, king of righteousness, and then also king of Salem, which is king of peace.
  20. who has no daily need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because He did this once for all time when He offered up Himself.
  21. Now if He were on earth, He would not be a priest at all, since there are those who offer the gifts according to the Law;
  22. who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, just as Moses was warned by God when he was about to erect the tabernacle; for, “See,” He says, “that you make all things by the pattern which was shown to you on the mountain.”
  23. And they will not teach, each one his fellow citizen, And each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ For they will all know Me, From the least to the greatest of them.
  24. having a golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden jar holding the manna, Aaron’s staff which budded, and the tablets of the covenant;
  25. and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all time, having obtained eternal redemption.
