  1. through whom we did receive grace and apostleship, for obedience of faith among all the nations, in behalf of his name;
  2. to all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called saints; Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father, and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ!

  12. Because of this [it is] of faith, that [it may be] according to grace, for the promise being sure to all the seed, not to that which [is] of the law only, but also to that which [is] of the faith of Abraham,
  13. who is father of us all (according as it hath been written -- `A father of many nations I have set thee,') before Him whom he did believe -- God, who is quickening the dead, and is calling the things that be not as being.
  14. because of this, even as through one man the sin did enter into the world, and through the sin the death; and thus to all men the death did pass through, for that all did sin;
  15. So, then, as through one offence to all men [it is] to condemnation, so also through one declaration of `Righteous' [it is] to all men to justification of life;
  16. `Thou shalt not covet;' and the sin having received an opportunity, through the command, did work in me all covetousness -- for apart from law sin is dead.
  17. for we have known that all the creation doth groan together, and doth travail in pain together till now.
  18. And we have known that to those loving God all things do work together for good, to those who are called according to purpose;
  19. He who indeed His own Son did not spare, but for us all did deliver him up, how shall He not also with him the all things grant to us?
  20. (according as it hath been written -- `For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long, we were reckoned as sheep of slaughter,')
  21. but in all these we more than conquer, through him who loved us;
  22. whose [are] the fathers, and of whom [is] the Christ, according to the flesh, who is over all, God blessed to the ages. Amen.
  23. And it is not possible that the word of God hath failed; for not all who [are] of Israel are these Israel;
  24. nor because they are seed of Abraham [are] all children, but -- `in Isaac shall a seed be called to thee;'
  25. for the Writing saith to Pharaoh -- `For this very thing I did raise thee up, that I might shew in thee My power, and that My name might be declared in all the land;'
