2 Sa m'ap di a pral tonbe tankou grenn lapli! Pawòl mwen yo pral tankou lawouze k'ap tonbe sou latè. Pawòl nan bouch mwen pral tankou bèl lapli k'ap tonbe sou jenn plant yo, tankou yon ti lapli nò k'ap tonbe sou zèb gazon.
3 Mwen pral fè lwanj Seyè a! Rekonèt jan Bondye nou an gen pouvwa!
4 Se Seyè a k'ap pwoteje nou. Tou sa li fè bon nèt. Li pa nan patipri nan anyen l'ap fè. Bondye nou an ap toujou kenbe pawòl li Li pa nan bay manti. Li fè sa ki dwat, li pa fè ankenn lenjistis.
5 Se yo menm, pèp li a, ki pa kenbe pawòl yo, bagay yon bon pitit Bondye pa ta janm fè. Se yon bann mechan k'ap mache twonpe moun.
6 Se konsa nou di Seyè a mèsi pou sa l' fè pou nou, bann moun fou san konprann? Se pa li ki papa nou? Se pa li ki kreye nou? Se pa li ki fè nou sa nou ye a? Se pa li ki ban nou lavi?
7 ¶ Chonje tan lontan! Repase tèt nou sou tan lontan! Mande papa nou pou li di nou sak te pase. Mande granmoun lontan yo rakonte nou istwa tan lontan.

18 Yo bliye Bondye ki te pwoteje yo, Bondye ki papa yo a. Yo pa chonje Bondye ki te fè yo, Bondye ki te ba yo lavi a.
19 ¶ Lè Seyè a wè sa, li fache. Li fè kòlè sou pitit gason l' yo ak sou pitit fi l' yo!
20 Li di: mwen pral vire do m' ba yo. M'a wè sa ki pral rive yo. Se yon bann moun ki plen vis, yon bann pitit ou pa ka fin fye nèt.
21 Yo fè m' fè jalouzi, y' al adore yon bondye ki pa bondye tout bon. Yo fè m' fè kòlè, y' al fè sèvis pou zidòl ki pa vo anyen. Enben, mwen menm, mwen pral fè yo fè jalouzi pou yon pèp ki pa menm yon pèp. M'ap fè yo fè kòlè pou yon nasyon moun ki san konprann.
22 Lè m' an kòlè, se tankou yon gwo dife k'ap flanbe. Mwen boule tou sa ki sou latè. Mwen desann byen fon kote mò yo ye anba tè a. M'ap mete dife jouk nan rasin mòn yo.
23 M'ap fè yon seri malè tonbe sou yo. M'ap voye tout flèch mwen yo sou yo.

28 Pèp Izrayèl la, se yon pèp ki pèdi bonnanj yo. Yo pa gen konprann.
29 Si yo te gen konprann, yo ta louvri je yo, yo ta wè sa ki pral rive yo.
30 Kouman ou ta vle pou yon sèl grenn lènmi fè mil ladan yo kouri, pou de grenn lènmi fè dimil ladan yo kraze rak? Se sèlman paske Seyè a lage yo, paske moun ki te konn pwoteje yo a vire do ba yo.
31 Lènmi yo konn byen pwòp bondye k'ap pwoteje yo a pa ka parèt devan Bondye pèp Izrayèl la.
32 Ou ta di se menm ras moun Sodòm ak Gomò yo ye. Yo tankou pye rezen k'ap donnen rezen anmè, rezen ki plen pwazon.
33 Diven yo tankou pwazon nan bouch sèpan, venen nan bouch sèpan aspik k'ap touye moun frèt.
34 Seyè a konnen tou sa lènmi te fè pèp la. L'ap tann lè a rive pou l' pini yo.
35 Se Seyè a k'ap tire revanj sou yo, se li k'ap fè yo peye sa yo fè a, lè lè a va rive pou yo tonbe. Jou pou yo detwi yo a pa lwen. Sa ki pare pou yo a fin rive.
36 Seyè a pral pran defans pèp li a, lè l'a wè tout fòs yo fin desann. Li pral gen pitye pou sèvitè l' yo, lè l'a wè pa gen anpil ankò ki rete, ni anndan peyi a, ni deyò.
37 Lè sa a, Seyè a va mande: -Kote bondye yo a, sa ki te konn pwoteje yo a? bondye yo te konn al jwenn pou pran defans yo a?
38 Se pa yo ki te konn manje grès bèt nou te konn ofri yo? Se pa yo ki te konn bwè diven nou te konn vide sou lòtèl yo? Se pou yo vin koulye a, se pou yo vin delivre nou! Se pou yo kouri vin pwoteje nou!
39 ¶ Se mwen menm, mwen menm sèl ki Bondye. Pa gen lòt bondye pase mwen menm. Mwen bay lavi, mwen pran lavi jan m' vle. Lè mwen bay maladi, se mwen ki pou bay gerizon. Pa gen moun ki ka delivre pesonn anba men mwen.

20 Men sa li di pou branch fanmi Gad la: Lwanj pou Bondye ki bay Gad anpil tè pou l' rete. Gad kouche tankou yon lyon k'ap veye, pou l' dechire yon bra, yon tèt, yon figi.
21 Yo pran pi bon venn tè a pou yo. Se pòsyon tè ki toujou vin pou chèf. Se yo k'ap mache devan pèp la. Yo fè tou sa Seyè a te mande, yo swiv tout regleman Seyè a te bay pèp Izrayèl la.
22 ¶ Men sa li di pou branch fanmi Dann lan: Dann se yon jenn ti lyon k'ap kouri soti peyi Bazan.
23 Men sa li di pou branch fanmi Neftali a: Neftali resevwa kont benediksyon l'. Seyè a fè l' anpil anpil favè. Pòsyon tè yo ap soti bò letan an, l'ap desann jouk nan pwent sid peyi a.

27 Bondye ki la pou tout tan an ap pwoteje nou. L'ap pran dèfans nou ak pouvwa li ki p'ap janm fini. L'ap fè lènmi nou yo kouri met deyò devan nou, l'ap ban nou lòd pou nou detwi yo nèt.
28 Pèp Izrayèl la ap viv ak kè poze. Moun pèp Izrayèl yo p'ap viv tankou lòt nasyon yo. Y'ap viv nan yon peyi k'ap bay anpil farin ak diven, nan yon peyi kote ki p'ap janm manke lapli.
29 Ala bon sa bon pou nou, moun pèp Izrayèl! Pa gen tankou nou! Se Seyè a menm ki delivrans nou! Se li ki pwoteksyon nou! Se li ki defans nou! L'ap mache devan nou pou l' fè nou genyen batay la. Lènmi nou yo va vin mande padon nan pye nou. Men nou menm, n'a kraze sa ki fè lògèy yo a anba pye nou.
34 ¶ Moyiz kite plenn Moab yo, li moute sou mòn Nebo a, sou tèt mòn Pisga a ki anfas lavil Jeriko a. Antan li la, Seyè a fè l' wè tout peyi a, depi zòn Galarad la rive jouk pòsyon tè ki pou Dann lan,
2 tout pòsyon ki pou Neftali a, tout peyi Efrayim lan ak peyi Manase a, tout peyi Jida a rive sou lanmè Mediterane a,
3 tout zòn Negèv la, fon larivyè Jouden an, depi plenn Jeriko, lavil pye koko ginen yo, desann jouk lavil Zoa.
4 Seyè a di li konsa: -Men peyi mwen te pwomèt Abraram, Izarak ak Jakòb mwen t'ap bay pitit pitit yo k'ap vin apre yo a. Mwen fè ou wè l' ak je ou, men ou p'ap antre ladan l'.
5 ¶ Se la Moyiz, sèvitè Seyè a, te mouri nan peyi Moab la, jan Seyè a te di li t'ap mouri a.
6 Seyè a antere l' nan peyi Moab la, nan fon ki anfas Bèt-Peyò a. Jouk jòdi a, pesonn pa konnen ki kote li antere.
7 Lè Moyiz mouri, li te gen sanventan. Li te wè byen nan je l' toujou, li te byen enganm toujou.
8 Moun pèp Izrayèl yo pase trant jou nan plenn Moab yo ap kriye lanmò li. Apre sa, yo fini ak tan yo t'ap pase ap kriye pou lanmò Moyiz la.

11 Pa gen lòt pwofèt ki janm fè tout mirak ak tout mèvèy sa yo Seyè a te voye l' al fè nan peyi Lejip, kont farawon an, kont moun k'ap sèvi gouvenman l' yo ak tout moun ki te nan peyi a.
12 Pa gen lòt pwofèt ki janm gen menm pouvwa sa a pou fè tout kalite gwo bagay sa yo Moyiz te fè devan tout pèp Izrayèl la.

New International Version
32 Listen,(A) you heavens,(B) and I will speak;
hear, you earth, the words of my mouth.(C)
2 Let my teaching fall like rain(D)
and my words descend like dew,(E)
like showers(F) on new grass,
like abundant rain on tender plants.
3 I will proclaim(G) the name of the Lord.(H)
Oh, praise the greatness(I) of our God!
4 He is the Rock,(J) his works are perfect,(K)
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God(L) who does no wrong,
upright(M) and just is he.(N)
5 They are corrupt and not his children;
to their shame they are a warped and crooked generation.(O)
6 Is this the way you repay(P) the Lord,
you foolish(Q) and unwise people?(R)
Is he not your Father,(S) your Creator,[a]
who made you and formed you?(T)
7 Remember the days of old;(U)
consider the generations long past.(V)
Ask your father and he will tell you,
your elders, and they will explain to you.(W)
8 When the Most High(X) gave the nations their inheritance,
when he divided all mankind,(Y)
he set up boundaries(Z) for the peoples
according to the number of the sons of Israel.[b](AA)
9 For the Lord’s portion(AB) is his people,
Jacob his allotted inheritance.(AC)
10 In a desert(AD) land he found him,
in a barren and howling waste.(AE)
He shielded(AF) him and cared for him;
he guarded him as the apple of his eye,(AG)
11 like an eagle that stirs up its nest
and hovers over its young,(AH)
that spreads its wings to catch them
and carries them aloft.(AI)
12 The Lord alone led(AJ) him;(AK)
no foreign god was with him.(AL)
13 He made him ride on the heights(AM) of the land
and fed him with the fruit of the fields.
He nourished him with honey from the rock,(AN)
and with oil(AO) from the flinty crag,
14 with curds and milk from herd and flock
and with fattened lambs and goats,
with choice rams of Bashan(AP)
and the finest kernels of wheat.(AQ)
You drank the foaming blood of the grape.(AR)
15 Jeshurun[c](AS) grew fat(AT) and kicked;
filled with food, they became heavy and sleek.
They abandoned(AU) the God who made them
and rejected the Rock(AV) their Savior.
16 They made him jealous(AW) with their foreign gods
and angered(AX) him with their detestable idols.
17 They sacrificed(AY) to false gods,(AZ) which are not God—
gods they had not known,(BA)
gods that recently appeared,(BB)
gods your ancestors did not fear.
18 You deserted the Rock, who fathered you;
you forgot(BC) the God who gave you birth.
19 The Lord saw this and rejected them(BD)
because he was angered by his sons and daughters.(BE)
20 “I will hide my face(BF) from them,” he said,
“and see what their end will be;
for they are a perverse generation,(BG)
children who are unfaithful.(BH)
21 They made me jealous(BI) by what is no god
and angered me with their worthless idols.(BJ)
I will make them envious by those who are not a people;
I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding.(BK)
22 For a fire will be kindled by my wrath,(BL)
one that burns down to the realm of the dead below.(BM)
It will devour(BN) the earth and its harvests(BO)
and set afire the foundations of the mountains.(BP)
23 “I will heap calamities(BQ) on them
and spend my arrows(BR) against them.
24 I will send wasting famine(BS) against them,
consuming pestilence(BT) and deadly plague;(BU)
I will send against them the fangs of wild beasts,(BV)
the venom of vipers(BW) that glide in the dust.(BX)
25 In the street the sword will make them childless;
in their homes terror(BY) will reign.(BZ)
The young men and young women will perish,
the infants and those with gray hair.(CA)
26 I said I would scatter(CB) them
and erase their name from human memory,(CC)
27 but I dreaded the taunt of the enemy,
lest the adversary misunderstand(CD)
and say, ‘Our hand has triumphed;
the Lord has not done all this.’”(CE)
28 They are a nation without sense,
there is no discernment(CF) in them.
29 If only they were wise and would understand this(CG)
and discern what their end will be!(CH)
30 How could one man chase a thousand,
or two put ten thousand to flight,(CI)
unless their Rock had sold them,(CJ)
unless the Lord had given them up?(CK)
31 For their rock is not like our Rock,(CL)
as even our enemies concede.(CM)
32 Their vine comes from the vine of Sodom(CN)
and from the fields of Gomorrah.
Their grapes are filled with poison,(CO)
and their clusters with bitterness.(CP)
33 Their wine is the venom of serpents,
the deadly poison of cobras.(CQ)
34 “Have I not kept this in reserve
and sealed it in my vaults?(CR)
35 It is mine to avenge;(CS) I will repay.(CT)
In due time their foot will slip;(CU)
their day of disaster is near
and their doom rushes upon them.(CV)”
36 The Lord will vindicate his people(CW)
and relent(CX) concerning his servants(CY)
when he sees their strength is gone
and no one is left, slave(CZ) or free.[d]
37 He will say: “Now where are their gods,
the rock they took refuge in,(DA)
38 the gods who ate the fat of their sacrifices
and drank the wine of their drink offerings?(DB)
Let them rise up to help you!
Let them give you shelter!
39 “See now that I myself am he!(DC)
There is no god besides me.(DD)
I put to death(DE) and I bring to life,(DF)
I have wounded and I will heal,(DG)
and no one can deliver out of my hand.(DH)
40 I lift my hand(DI) to heaven and solemnly swear:
As surely as I live forever,(DJ)
41 when I sharpen my flashing sword(DK)
and my hand grasps it in judgment,
I will take vengeance(DL) on my adversaries
and repay those who hate me.(DM)
42 I will make my arrows drunk with blood,(DN)
while my sword devours flesh:(DO)
the blood of the slain and the captives,
the heads of the enemy leaders.”
43 Rejoice,(DP) you nations, with his people,[e][f]
for he will avenge the blood of his servants;(DQ)
he will take vengeance on his enemies(DR)
and make atonement for his land and people.(DS)
44 Moses came with Joshua[g](DT) son of Nun and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people. 45 When Moses finished reciting all these words to all Israel, 46 he said to them, “Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day,(DU) so that you may command(DV) your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. 47 They are not just idle words for you—they are your life.(DW) By them you will live long(DX) in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”
Moses to Die on Mount Nebo
48 On that same day the Lord told Moses,(DY) 49 “Go up into the Abarim(DZ) Range to Mount Nebo(EA) in Moab, across from Jericho,(EB) and view Canaan,(EC) the land I am giving the Israelites as their own possession. 50 There on the mountain that you have climbed you will die(ED) and be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aaron died(EE) on Mount Hor(EF) and was gathered to his people. 51 This is because both of you broke faith with me in the presence of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh(EG) in the Desert of Zin(EH) and because you did not uphold my holiness among the Israelites.(EI) 52 Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance;(EJ) you will not enter(EK) the land I am giving to the people of Israel.”
Moses Blesses the Tribes(EL)
33 This is the blessing(EM) that Moses the man of God(EN) pronounced on the Israelites before his death. 2 He said:
“The Lord came from Sinai(EO)
and dawned over them from Seir;(EP)
he shone forth(EQ) from Mount Paran.(ER)
He came with[h] myriads of holy ones(ES)
from the south, from his mountain slopes.[i]
3 Surely it is you who love(ET) the people;
all the holy ones are in your hand.(EU)
At your feet they all bow down,(EV)
and from you receive instruction,
4 the law that Moses gave us,(EW)
the possession of the assembly of Jacob.(EX)
5 He was king(EY) over Jeshurun[j](EZ)
when the leaders of the people assembled,
along with the tribes of Israel.
7 And this he said about Judah:(FB)
“Hear, Lord, the cry of Judah;
bring him to his people.
With his own hands he defends his cause.
Oh, be his help against his foes!”
8 About Levi(FC) he said:
“Your Thummim and Urim(FD) belong
to your faithful servant.(FE)
You tested(FF) him at Massah;
you contended with him at the waters of Meribah.(FG)
9 He said of his father and mother,(FH)
‘I have no regard for them.’
He did not recognize his brothers
or acknowledge his own children,
but he watched over your word
and guarded your covenant.(FI)
10 He teaches(FJ) your precepts to Jacob
and your law to Israel.(FK)
He offers incense before you(FL)
and whole burnt offerings on your altar.(FM)
11 Bless all his skills, Lord,
and be pleased with the work of his hands.(FN)
Strike down those who rise against him,
his foes till they rise no more.”
12 About Benjamin(FO) he said:
“Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him,(FP)
for he shields him all day long,(FQ)
and the one the Lord loves(FR) rests between his shoulders.(FS)”
13 About Joseph(FT) he said:
“May the Lord bless his land
with the precious dew from heaven above
and with the deep waters that lie below;(FU)
14 with the best the sun brings forth
and the finest the moon can yield;
15 with the choicest gifts of the ancient mountains(FV)
and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills;
16 with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness
and the favor of him who dwelt in the burning bush.(FW)
Let all these rest on the head of Joseph,
on the brow of the prince among[l] his brothers.(FX)
17 In majesty he is like a firstborn bull;
his horns(FY) are the horns of a wild ox.(FZ)
With them he will gore(GA) the nations,
even those at the ends of the earth.
Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim;(GB)
such are the thousands of Manasseh.(GC)”
18 About Zebulun(GD) he said:
“Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out,
and you, Issachar,(GE) in your tents.
19 They will summon peoples to the mountain(GF)
and there offer the sacrifices of the righteous;(GG)
they will feast on the abundance of the seas,(GH)
on the treasures hidden in the sand.”
20 About Gad(GI) he said:
“Blessed is he who enlarges Gad’s domain!(GJ)
Gad lives there like a lion,
tearing at arm or head.
21 He chose the best land for himself;(GK)
the leader’s portion was kept for him.(GL)
When the heads of the people assembled,
he carried out the Lord’s righteous will,(GM)
and his judgments concerning Israel.”
22 About Dan(GN) he said:
“Dan is a lion’s cub,
springing out of Bashan.”
23 About Naphtali(GO) he said:
“Naphtali is abounding with the favor of the Lord
and is full of his blessing;
he will inherit southward to the lake.”
24 About Asher(GP) he said:
“Most blessed of sons is Asher;
let him be favored by his brothers,
and let him bathe his feet in oil.(GQ)
25 The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze,(GR)
and your strength will equal your days.(GS)
26 “There is no one like the God of Jeshurun,(GT)
who rides(GU) across the heavens to help you(GV)
and on the clouds(GW) in his majesty.(GX)
27 The eternal(GY) God is your refuge,(GZ)
and underneath are the everlasting(HA) arms.
He will drive out your enemies before you,(HB)
saying, ‘Destroy them!’(HC)
28 So Israel will live in safety;(HD)
Jacob will dwell[m] secure
in a land of grain and new wine,
where the heavens drop dew.(HE)
29 Blessed are you, Israel!(HF)
Who is like you,(HG)
a people saved by the Lord?(HH)
He is your shield and helper(HI)
and your glorious sword.
Your enemies will cower before you,
and you will tread on their heights.(HJ)”
The Death of Moses
34 Then Moses climbed Mount Nebo(HK) from the plains of Moab to the top of Pisgah,(HL) across from Jericho.(HM) There the Lord showed(HN) him the whole land—from Gilead to Dan,(HO) 2 all of Naphtali, the territory of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the Mediterranean Sea,(HP) 3 the Negev(HQ) and the whole region from the Valley of Jericho, the City of Palms,(HR) as far as Zoar.(HS) 4 Then the Lord said to him, “This is the land I promised on oath(HT) to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob(HU) when I said, ‘I will give it(HV) to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross(HW) over into it.”
5 And Moses the servant of the Lord(HX) died(HY) there in Moab, as the Lord had said. 6 He buried him[n] in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor,(HZ) but to this day no one knows where his grave is.(IA) 7 Moses was a hundred and twenty years old(IB) when he died, yet his eyes were not weak(IC) nor his strength gone.(ID) 8 The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab(IE) thirty days,(IF) until the time of weeping and mourning(IG) was over.
9 Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit[o] of wisdom(IH) because Moses had laid his hands on him.(II) So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses.
10 Since then, no prophet(IJ) has risen in Israel like Moses,(IK) whom the Lord knew face to face,(IL) 11 who did all those signs and wonders(IM) the Lord sent him to do in Egypt—to Pharaoh and to all his officials(IN) and to his whole land. 12 For no one has(IO) ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds(IP) that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.

26 The written notice of the charge against him read: the king of the jews.(A)
27 They crucified two rebels with him, one on his right and one on his left. [28] [a] 29 Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads(B) and saying, “So! You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days,(C) 30 come down from the cross and save yourself!” 31 In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him(D) among themselves. “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! 32 Let this Messiah,(E) this king of Israel,(F) come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe.” Those crucified with him also heaped insults on him.
The Death of Jesus(G)
33 At noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon.(H) 34 And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).[b](I)
35 When some of those standing near heard this, they said, “Listen, he’s calling Elijah.”
36 Someone ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar,(J) put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. “Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to take him down,” he said.
37 With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last.(K)
38 The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.(L) 39 And when the centurion,(M) who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died,[c] he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!”(N)
40 Some women were watching from a distance.(O) Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joseph,[d] and Salome.(P) 41 In Galilee these women had followed him and cared for his needs. Many other women who had come up with him to Jerusalem were also there.(Q)
The Burial of Jesus(R)
42 It was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath).(S) So as evening approached, 43 Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Council,(T) who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God,(U) went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. 44 Pilate was surprised to hear that he was already dead. Summoning the centurion, he asked him if Jesus had already died. 45 When he learned from the centurion(V) that it was so, he gave the body to Joseph. 46 So Joseph bought some linen cloth, took down the body, wrapped it in the linen, and placed it in a tomb cut out of rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb.(W) 47 Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph(X) saw where he was laid.
