Patrol of the Earth
7 On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, that is, the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the prophet, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, [a]as follows: 8 I saw at night, and behold, a man was riding on a (A)red horse, and he was standing among the (B)myrtle trees which were in the ravine, with red, [b]sorrel, and (C)white horses behind him. 9 Then I said, “What are these, my (D)lord?” And the (E)angel who was speaking with me said to me, “I will show you what these are.” 10 And the man who was standing among the myrtle trees responded and said, “These are the ones whom the Lord has sent to [c](F)patrol the earth.” 11 So they responded to the angel of the Lord who was (G)standing among the myrtle trees and said, “We have [d]patrolled the earth, and behold, (H)all the earth is [e]still and quiet.”
12 Then the angel of the Lord said, “Lord of armies, (I)how long will You (J)take no pity on Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, with which You have been (K)indignant for these (L)seventy years?” 13 And the Lord responded to the (M)angel who was speaking with me with [f]gracious words, (N)comforting words. 14 So the angel who was speaking with me said to me, “(O)Proclaim, saying, ‘This is what the Lord of armies says: “I am (P)exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem and Zion. 15 But I am very (Q)angry with the nations who are (R)carefree; for while I was only a little angry, they [g](S)furthered the disaster.” 16 Therefore the Lord says this: “I will (T)return to Jerusalem with compassion; My (U)house will be built in it,” declares the Lord of armies, “and a measuring (V)line will be stretched over Jerusalem.”’ 17 Again, proclaim, saying, ‘This is what the Lord of armies says: “My (W)cities will again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord will again (X)comfort Zion and again (Y)choose Jerusalem.”’”
18 [h]Then I raised my eyes and looked, and behold, there were four horns. 19 So I said to the angel who was speaking with me, “What are these?” And he said to me, “These are the (Z)horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.” 20 Then the Lord showed me four (AA)craftsmen. 21 And I said, “What are these coming to do?” And he said, “These are the (AB)horns that have scattered Judah so that no one lifts up his head; but these craftsmen have come to frighten them, to (AC)throw down the horns of the nations who have lifted up their horns against the land of Judah in order to scatter it.”
God’s Favor to Zion
2 [i]Then I raised my eyes and looked, and behold, there was a man with a (AD)measuring line in his hand. 2 So I said, “Where are you going?” And he said to me, “To (AE)measure Jerusalem, to see how wide it is and how long it is.” 3 And behold, the (AF)angel who had been speaking with me was going out, and another angel was going out to meet him. 4 And he said to him, “Run, speak to that (AG)young man there, saying, ‘(AH)Jerusalem will be inhabited (AI)as open country because of the (AJ)multitude of people and cattle within it. 5 But I,’ declares the Lord, ‘will be a (AK)wall of fire to her on all sides, and I will be the (AL)glory in her midst.’”
6 “[j]You there! (AM)Flee from the land of the north,” declares the Lord, “because I have (AN)spread you out like the four winds of the heavens,” declares the Lord. 7 “[k]You, Zion! (AO)Escape, you who are living with the daughter of Babylon.” 8 For the Lord of armies says this: “After (AP)glory He has sent me against the nations that plunder you, for the one who touches you, touches the [l](AQ)apple of His eye. 9 For behold, I am going to (AR)wave My hand over them so that they will be (AS)plunder for their slaves. Then you will know that the Lord of armies has sent Me. 10 (AT)Shout for joy and rejoice, daughter of Zion; for behold I am coming and I will (AU)dwell in your midst,” declares the Lord. 11 “And (AV)many nations will join themselves to the Lord on that day and will become My people. Then I will (AW)dwell in your midst, and you will (AX)know that the Lord of armies has sent Me to you. 12 And the Lord will [m](AY)possess Judah as His portion in the holy land, and will again (AZ)choose Jerusalem.
13 “[n](BA)Be silent, all [o]mankind, before the Lord; for He has (BB)roused Himself from His holy dwelling.”
Joshua, the High Priest
3 Then he showed me (BC)Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and [p](BD)Satan standing at his right to accuse him. 2 And the Lord said to Satan, “(BE)The Lord rebuke you, Satan! Indeed, the Lord who has (BF)chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a (BG)log snatched from the fire?” 3 Now Joshua was clothed in (BH)filthy garments and was standing before the angel. 4 And he responded and said to those who were standing before him, saying, “(BI)Remove the filthy garments from him.” Again he said to him, “See, I have (BJ)taken your guilt away from you and [q]will (BK)clothe you with festive robes.” 5 Then I said, “Have them put a clean (BL)headband on his head.” So they put the clean headband on his head and clothed him with garments, while the angel of the Lord was standing by.
6 And the angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying, 7 “The Lord of armies says this: ‘If you (BM)walk in My ways and perform My service, then you will both (BN)govern My house and be in charge of My (BO)courtyards, and I will grant you [r]free access among these who are standing here.
The Branch
8 Now listen, Joshua, you high priest, you and your friends who are sitting in front of you—indeed they are men who are a (BP)sign: for behold, I am going to bring in My servant the [s](BQ)Branch. 9 For behold, the stone that I have put before Joshua; on one stone are (BR)seven eyes. Behold, I am going to engrave an inscription on it,’ declares the Lord of armies, ‘and I will (BS)remove the guilt of that land in one day. 10 On that day,’ declares the Lord of armies, ‘every one of you will invite his neighbor to sit under his (BT)vine and under his fig tree.’”
The Golden Lampstand and the Olive Trees
4 Then (BU)the angel who had been speaking with me returned and (BV)woke me, like a person who is awakened from his sleep. 2 And he said to me, “(BW)What do you see?” And I said, “I see, and behold, a (BX)lampstand all of gold with its bowl on the top of it, and its (BY)seven lamps on it with seven [t]spouts belonging to each of the lamps which are on the top of it; 3 also (BZ)two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl and the other on its left side.” 4 Then I said to the angel who was speaking with me, saying, “What are these, (CA)my lord?” 5 So (CB)the angel who was speaking with me answered and said to me, “(CC)Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.” 6 Then he said to [u]me, “This is the word of the Lord to (CD)Zerubbabel, saying, ‘(CE)Not by might nor by power, but by My (CF)Spirit,’ says the Lord of armies. 7 ‘What are you, you great (CG)mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring out the top stone with (CH)shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’”
8 Also the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 9 “The hands of Zerubbabel have (CI)laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will (CJ)finish it. Then you will know that the Lord of armies has sent me to [v]you. 10 For who has shown contempt for the day of (CK)small things? [w]But these (CL)seven will rejoice when they see the [x](CM)plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel—they are the (CN)eyes of the Lord (CO)roaming throughout the earth.”
11 Then I said to him, “What are these (CP)two olive trees on the right of the lampstand and on its left?” 12 And I responded the second time and said to him, “What are the two olive [y]branches which are beside the two golden pipes, which empty the golden oil from themselves?” 13 So he answered me, saying, “(CQ)Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, (CR)my lord.” 14 Then he said, “These are the two [z](CS)anointed ones, who are (CT)standing by the (CU)Lord of the whole earth.”
The Flying Scroll
5 Then I raised my eyes again and looked, and behold, there was a flying (CV)scroll. 2 And he said to me, “(CW)What do you see?” And I said, “I see a flying scroll; its length is [aa]twenty cubits, and its width ten cubits.” 3 Then he said to me, “This is the (CX)curse that is going forth over the face of the entire [ab]land; everyone who (CY)steals certainly will be purged away according to [ac]the writing on one side, and everyone who (CZ)swears falsely will be purged away according to [ad]the writing on the other side. 4 I will (DA)make it go forth,” declares the Lord of armies, “and it will (DB)enter the house of the (DC)thief and the house of the one who swears falsely by My name; and it will spend the night within that house and (DD)destroy it with its timber and stones.”
5 Then (DE)the angel who had been speaking with me went out and said to me, “Now raise your eyes and see what this is that is going forth.” 6 And I said, “What is it?” Then he said, “This is the [ae](DF)ephah going forth.” Again he said, “This is their [af]appearance in all the [ag]land. 7 And behold, a lead cover was lifted up.” He continued, “And this is a woman sitting inside the ephah.” 8 Then he said, “This is (DG)Wickedness!” And he thrust her into the middle of the ephah and threw the lead weight on its [ah]opening. 9 Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there two women were coming out with the wind in their wings; and they had wings like the wings of the (DH)stork, and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens. 10 So I said to the angel who was speaking with me, “Where are they taking the ephah?” 11 Then he said to me, “To build a [ai]temple for her in the land of (DI)Shinar; and when it is prepared, she will be set there on her own pedestal.”
The Four Chariots
6 Now I raised my eyes again and looked, and behold, (DJ)four chariots were going out from between the two mountains; and the mountains were bronze mountains. 2 With the first chariot were (DK)red horses, with the second chariot (DL)black horses, 3 with the third chariot (DM)white horses, and with the fourth chariot strong (DN)spotted horses. 4 So I responded and said to the angel who was speaking with me, “(DO)What are these, my lord?” 5 The angel replied to me, “These are the (DP)four spirits of heaven, going out after taking their stand before the Lord of all the earth, 6 with one of which the black horses are going out to the (DQ)north country; and the white ones are to go out after them, while the spotted ones are to go out to the (DR)south country.” 7 When the strong ones went out, they [aj]were eager to go to [ak](DS)patrol the earth. And He said, “Go, [al]patrol the earth.” So they [am]patrolled the earth. 8 Then He called out to me and spoke to me, saying, “See, those who are going to the land of the north have [an](DT)appeased My wrath in the land of the north.”
9 The (DU)word of the Lord also came to me, saying, 10 “(DV)Take an offering from the exiles, from Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah; and you shall go the same day and enter the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, where they have arrived from Babylon.
The Symbolic Crowns
11 Also take silver and gold, make an ornate (DW)crown, and set it on the head of (DX)Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest. 12 Then say to him, ‘The Lord of armies says this: “Behold, there is a Man whose name is [ao](DY)Branch, for He will [ap](DZ)branch out from where He is; and He will (EA)build the temple of the Lord. 13 Yes, it is He who will build the temple of the Lord, and He who will (EB)bear the majesty and sit and (EC)rule on His throne. So He will be a (ED)priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two [aq]offices.”’ 14 Now the (EE)crown will become a reminder in the temple of the Lord to Helem, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and [ar]Hen the son of Zephaniah. 15 (EF)Those who are far away will come and [as]build the temple of the Lord.” Then you will (EG)know that the Lord of armies has sent me to you. And it will take place if you completely (EH)obey [at]the Lord your God.
7 In the fourth year of King Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah on the fourth day of the ninth month, which is (EI)Chislev. 2 Now the town of Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regemmelech and [au]their men to [av](EJ)seek the favor of the Lord, 3 speaking to the (EK)priests who belong to the house of the Lord of armies, and to the prophets, saying, “Shall I weep in the (EL)fifth month [aw]and fast, as I have done these many years?” 4 Then the word of the Lord of armies came to me, saying, 5 “Say to all the people of the land and to the priests, ‘When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months [ax]these (EM)seventy years, was it actually for (EN)Me that you fasted? 6 And when you eat and drink, [ay]do you not eat for yourselves and drink for yourselves? 7 Are these not the words which the Lord (EO)proclaimed by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and (EP)carefree along with its cities around it, and the [az](EQ)Negev and the [ba]foothills were inhabited?’”
8 Then the word of the Lord came to Zechariah, saying,

The Man Among the Myrtle Trees
7 On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, the month of Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Zechariah son of Berekiah, the son of Iddo.(A)
8 During the night I had a vision, and there before me was a man mounted on a red(B) horse. He was standing among the myrtle trees in a ravine. Behind him were red, brown and white horses.(C)
9 I asked, “What are these, my lord?”
The angel(D) who was talking with me answered, “I will show you what they are.”(E)
10 Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained, “They are the ones the Lord has sent to go throughout the earth.”(F)
11 And they reported to the angel of the Lord(G) who was standing among the myrtle trees, “We have gone throughout the earth and found the whole world at rest and in peace.”(H)
12 Then the angel of the Lord said, “Lord Almighty, how long(I) will you withhold mercy(J) from Jerusalem and from the towns of Judah,(K) which you have been angry with these seventy(L) years?” 13 So the Lord spoke(M) kind and comforting words(N) to the angel who talked with me.(O)
14 Then the angel who was speaking to me said, “Proclaim this word: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘I am very jealous(P) for Jerusalem and Zion, 15 and I am very angry with the nations that feel secure.(Q) I was only a little angry,(R) but they went too far with the punishment.’(S)
16 “Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘I will return(T) to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line(U) will be stretched out over Jerusalem,’ declares the Lord Almighty.(V)
17 “Proclaim further: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord will again comfort(W) Zion and choose(X) Jerusalem.’”(Y)
Four Horns and Four Craftsmen
18 Then I looked up, and there before me were four horns. 19 I asked the angel who was speaking to me, “What are these?”
He answered me, “These are the horns(Z) that scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem.”
20 Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen. 21 I asked, “What are these coming to do?”
He answered, “These are the horns that scattered Judah so that no one could raise their head, but the craftsmen have come to terrify them and throw down these horns of the nations who lifted up their horns(AA) against the land of Judah to scatter its people.”[a](AB)
A Man With a Measuring Line
2 [b]Then I looked up, and there before me was a man with a measuring line in his hand. 2 I asked, “Where are you going?”
He answered me, “To measure Jerusalem, to find out how wide and how long it is.”(AC)
3 While the angel who was speaking to me was leaving, another angel came to meet him 4 and said to him: “Run, tell that young man, ‘Jerusalem will be a city without walls(AD) because of the great number(AE) of people and animals in it.(AF) 5 And I myself will be a wall(AG) of fire(AH) around it,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will be its glory(AI) within.’(AJ)
6 “Come! Come! Flee from the land of the north,” declares the Lord, “for I have scattered(AK) you to the four winds of heaven,”(AL) declares the Lord.(AM)
7 “Come, Zion! Escape,(AN) you who live in Daughter Babylon!”(AO) 8 For this is what the Lord Almighty says: “After the Glorious One has sent me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye(AP)— 9 I will surely raise my hand against them so that their slaves will plunder them.[c](AQ) Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me.(AR)
10 “Shout(AS) and be glad, Daughter Zion.(AT) For I am coming,(AU) and I will live among you,”(AV) declares the Lord.(AW) 11 “Many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people.(AX) I will live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.(AY) 12 The Lord will inherit(AZ) Judah(BA) as his portion in the holy land and will again choose(BB) Jerusalem. 13 Be still(BC) before the Lord, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.(BD)”
Clean Garments for the High Priest
3 Then he showed me Joshua(BE) the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan[d](BF) standing at his right side to accuse him. 2 The Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you,(BG) Satan! The Lord, who has chosen(BH) Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick(BI) snatched from the fire?”(BJ)
3 Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. 4 The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.”
Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin,(BK) and I will put fine garments(BL) on you.”
5 Then I said, “Put a clean turban(BM) on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the Lord stood by.
6 The angel of the Lord gave this charge to Joshua: 7 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘If you will walk in obedience to me and keep my requirements,(BN) then you will govern my house(BO) and have charge(BP) of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.(BQ)
8 “‘Listen, High Priest(BR) Joshua, you and your associates seated before you, who are men symbolic(BS) of things to come: I am going to bring my servant, the Branch.(BT) 9 See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua!(BU) There are seven eyes[e](BV) on that one stone,(BW) and I will engrave an inscription on it,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will remove the sin(BX) of this land in a single day.
10 “‘In that day each of you will invite your neighbor to sit(BY) under your vine and fig tree,(BZ)’ declares the Lord Almighty.”
The Gold Lampstand and the Two Olive Trees
4 Then the angel who talked with me returned and woke(CA) me up, like someone awakened from sleep.(CB) 2 He asked me, “What do you see?”(CC)
I answered, “I see a solid gold lampstand(CD) with a bowl at the top and seven lamps(CE) on it, with seven channels to the lamps. 3 Also there are two olive trees(CF) by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.”
4 I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”
5 He answered, “Do you not know what these are?”
“No, my lord,” I replied.(CG)
6 So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:(CH) ‘Not(CI) by might nor by power,(CJ) but by my Spirit,’(CK) says the Lord Almighty.
7 “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground.(CL) Then he will bring out the capstone(CM) to shouts(CN) of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’”
8 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 9 “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation(CO) of this temple; his hands will also complete it.(CP) Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me(CQ) to you.
10 “Who dares despise the day(CR) of small things,(CS) since the seven eyes(CT) of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone[f] in the hand of Zerubbabel?”(CU)
11 Then I asked the angel, “What are these two olive trees(CV) on the right and the left of the lampstand?”
12 Again I asked him, “What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?”
13 He replied, “Do you not know what these are?”
“No, my lord,” I said.
14 So he said, “These are the two who are anointed(CW) to[g] serve the Lord of all the earth.”
The Flying Scroll
5 I looked again, and there before me was a flying scroll.(CX)
2 He asked me, “What do you see?”(CY)
I answered, “I see a flying scroll, twenty cubits long and ten cubits wide.[h]”
3 And he said to me, “This is the curse(CZ) that is going out over the whole land; for according to what it says on one side, every thief(DA) will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely(DB) will be banished. 4 The Lord Almighty declares, ‘I will send it out, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of anyone who swears falsely(DC) by my name. It will remain in that house and destroy it completely, both its timbers and its stones.(DD)’”
The Woman in a Basket
5 Then the angel who was speaking to me came forward and said to me, “Look up and see what is appearing.”
6 I asked, “What is it?”
He replied, “It is a basket.(DE)” And he added, “This is the iniquity[i] of the people throughout the land.”
7 Then the cover of lead was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman! 8 He said, “This is wickedness,” and he pushed her back into the basket and pushed its lead cover down on it.(DF)
9 Then I looked up—and there before me were two women, with the wind in their wings! They had wings like those of a stork,(DG) and they lifted up the basket between heaven and earth.
10 “Where are they taking the basket?” I asked the angel who was speaking to me.
11 He replied, “To the country of Babylonia[j](DH) to build a house(DI) for it. When the house is ready, the basket will be set there in its place.”(DJ)
Four Chariots
6 I looked up again, and there before me were four chariots(DK) coming out from between two mountains—mountains of bronze. 2 The first chariot had red horses, the second black,(DL) 3 the third white,(DM) and the fourth dappled—all of them powerful. 4 I asked the angel who was speaking to me, “What are these, my lord?”
5 The angel answered me, “These are the four spirits[k](DN) of heaven, going out from standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole world.(DO) 6 The one with the black horses is going toward the north country, the one with the white horses toward the west,[l] and the one with the dappled horses toward the south.”
7 When the powerful horses went out, they were straining to go throughout the earth.(DP) And he said, “Go throughout the earth!” So they went throughout the earth.
8 Then he called to me, “Look, those going toward the north country have given my Spirit[m] rest(DQ) in the land of the north.”(DR)
A Crown for Joshua
9 The word of the Lord came to me: 10 “Take silver and gold from the exiles Heldai, Tobijah and Jedaiah, who have arrived from Babylon.(DS) Go the same day to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah. 11 Take the silver and gold and make a crown,(DT) and set it on the head of the high priest, Joshua(DU) son of Jozadak.[n](DV) 12 Tell him this is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Here is the man whose name is the Branch,(DW) and he will branch out from his place and build the temple of the Lord.(DX) 13 It is he who will build the temple of the Lord, and he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he[o] will be a priest(DY) on his throne. And there will be harmony between the two.’ 14 The crown will be given to Heldai,[p] Tobijah, Jedaiah and Hen[q] son of Zephaniah as a memorial(DZ) in the temple of the Lord. 15 Those who are far away will come and help to build the temple of the Lord,(EA) and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.(EB) This will happen if you diligently obey(EC) the Lord your God.”
Justice and Mercy, Not Fasting
7 In the fourth year of King Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah(ED) on the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Kislev.(EE) 2 The people of Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regem-Melek, together with their men, to entreat(EF) the Lord(EG) 3 by asking the priests of the house of the Lord Almighty and the prophets, “Should I mourn(EH) and fast in the fifth(EI) month, as I have done for so many years?”
4 Then the word of the Lord Almighty came to me: 5 “Ask all the people of the land and the priests, ‘When you fasted(EJ) and mourned in the fifth and seventh(EK) months for the past seventy years,(EL) was it really for me that you fasted? 6 And when you were eating and drinking, were you not just feasting for yourselves?(EM) 7 Are these not the words the Lord proclaimed through the earlier prophets(EN) when Jerusalem and its surrounding towns were at rest(EO) and prosperous, and the Negev and the western foothills(EP) were settled?’”(EQ)
8 And the word of the Lord came again to Zechariah:

8 Видях нощем, и ето човек който яздеше на червен кон, и стоеше между миртовите дървета, които бяха в едно сенчесто място; и зад него имаше червени, пъстри и бели коне.
9 Тогава рекох: Господарю мой, кои са тези? И ангелът, който говореше с мене, ми рече: Аз ще ти покажа кои са тези.
10 И човекът, който стоеше между миртите, рече в отговор: Те са ония, които Господ направи да обходят света.
11 И проговаряйки на Ангела Господен, който стоеше между миртите, рекох: Ние обходихме света; и, ето, целият свят седи спокойно и е тих.

19 И рекох на ангела, който говореше с мене: Какви са тия? И той ми отговори: Тия са роговете, които разпръснаха Юда, Израиля и Ерусалим.
20 Тогава Господ ми показа четирима ковачи.
21 И рекох: Какво са дошли да правят тия? И в отговор рече: Ония са роговете които разпръснаха Юда тъй че, никой не повдигаше главата си; но тия са дошли да ги уплашат, и да повалят роговете на народите, които подигнаха рог против Юдовата земя за да я разпръснат.
2 След това, подигнах очите си и видях, и ето човек с връв за мерене в ръката му.
2 Тогава рекох: Къде отиваш? А той ми рече: Да измеря Ерусалим, за да видя каква е широчината му и каква е дължината му.
3 ето, ангелът, който говореше с мене, излезе; и друг ангел излезе да го посрещне, и му рече:
4 Тичай, говори на тоя юноша, като кажеш: Ерусалим ще се насели без стени, поради многото човеци и добитък в него;

6 О! о! бягайте от северната земя, казва Господ, защото ще ви разширя към четирите небесни ветрища, казва Господ.

10 Пей и радвай се, Сионова дъщерьо; защото, ето, Аз ида, и ще обитавам всред тебе, казва Господ.
11 И в оня ден много народи ще се прилепят при Господа, и ще бъдат Мои люде и Аз ще обитавам всред тебе, и ще познаеш, че Господ на Силите ме е изпратил при тебе.
12 И Господ ще наследи Юда за Свой дял в светата земя, и пак ще избере Ерусалим.

3 И Господ ми показа великия свещеник Исуса стоящ пред ангела Господен; и Сатана* стоеше отдясно му за да му се възпротиви.
2 И Господ рече на Сатана: Господ да те смъмри, Сатано, да! да те смъмри Господ, Който избра Ерусалим. Не е ли този една главня изтръгната из огън?
3 А Исус бе в нацапани дрехи като стоеше пред ангела.
4 И ангелът проговаряйки рече на стоящите пред него, като думаше: Съблечете от него нацапаните дрехи. А нему рече : Ето, отнеха от тебе беззаконието ти, и ще те облека в богати одежди.
5 Тогава рекох: Нека турят хубава митра на главата му. И тъй, туриха хубава митра на главата му, и го облякоха с дрехи, докато ангелът Господен стоеше близо.
6 И ангелът Господен заяви на Исуса казвайки:
7 Така казва Господ на Силите: Ако ходиш в пътищата Ми, и ако пазиш наредбите Ми, тогава ти пак ще пазиш дома Ми, и пак ще пазиш дворовете Ми, и ще ти дам свободен достъп до стоящите тук.
8 Слушай сега велики свещениче Исусе, ти и другарите ти, които седят пред тебе, (понеже и те са човеци посветени за знамение;) защото, ето, Аз ще доведа служителя Си Отрасъла.
9 Защото, ето камъка, Който положих пред Исуса, на тоя единствен камък има седем очи; ето, Аз ще изсека издълбаното на него, казва Господ на Силите, и ще изгладя беззаконието на тая земя в един ден.
10 В оня ден, казва Господ на Силите, ще поканите всеки ближния си под лозата си и под смоковницата си.
4 И ангелът, който говореше с мене, се върна и ме събуди, както човек, който се събужда от съня си.
2 И рече ми: Що виждаш? И рекох: Погледнах и ето светилник цял от злато с чаша отгоре му, със седем светила на него, и със седем цеви на седемте светилника, които са върху му,
3 и край него две маслинени дървета, едно отдясно на чашата е едно отляво й.
4 И проговорих та рекох на ангела, който говореше с мене, като казах: Какви са тия, господарю мой?
5 И ангелът, който говореше с мене, в отговор ми рече: Не знаеш ли какви са тия? И рекох: Не зная, господарю мой?
6 Тогава отговаряйки говори ми, като каза: Ето, Господното слово към Зоровавела, което казва: Не чрез сила, нито чрез мощ, Но чрез Духа ми, казва Господ на Силите;
7 Що си ти, планино велика? Пред Зоровавела - поле! Той ще изнесе връхния камък С възклицание - Благодат! Благодат нему!
8 При това, Господното слово дойде към мене и рече: -
9 Ръцете на Зоровавела положиха основата на тоя дом; Неговите ръце тоже ще го изкарат; И ще познаеш, че Господ на Силите ме е пратил при вас.
10 Защото кой презира тоя ден на малките работи? Понеже тия ще се радват, сиреч, тия седем, Които са очите Господни, Тичащи през целия свят, Като видят отвеса в ръката на Зоровавела.
11 Тогава отговаряйки ме рекох: Какви са тия две маслинени дървета отдясно на светилника и отляво.
12 И втори път отговорих, като му казах: Какви са тия две маслинени клончета, които през двете златни цеви изпразват из себе си маслото като злато?
13 А той в отговор ми рече: Не знаеш ли какви са те? И рекох: Не зная, господарю мой.
14 Тогава каза: Те са двамата помазани, които стоят при Господаря на целия свят.
5 Тогава пак като подигнах очите си видях, и ето летящ свитък.
2 И рече ми: Що виждаш? И отговорих: Виждам летящ свитък, дълъг двадесет лакти, и широк десет лакти.
3 И рече ми: Това е проклетията, която се простира по лицето на цялата страна; защото всеки, който краде, ще се изтреби, както се пише в него от едната страна, и веки, който се кълне лъжливо ще се изтреби, както се пише в него от другата страна.
4 Аз ще я направя да излезе, и тя ще влезе в къщата на крадеца и в къщата на кълнещия се лъжливо в Моето име; и като пребъдва всред къщата му ще я разори, както дърветата й, така и камъните й.
5 Тогава ангелът, който говореше с мене, излезе та ми рече: Подигни очите си та виж що е това, което излиза.
6 И рекох: Що е това? А той каза: Това, което излиза, е ефа. Каза още: Това ги представлява, каквито са, по цялата земя;
7 (и, ето, един талант олово си вдигаше); и ето една жена седеше всред ефата.
8 Рече още: Това е нечестието. И хвърли я всред ефата; после хвърли оловената теглилка в устата на ефата.
9 Тогава, като подигнах очите си видях, и, ето, излизаха две жени, които летяха като вятър*; защото имаха крила като крила на щъркел; и дигаха ефата между земята и небето.
10 Тогава рекох на ангела, който говореше с мене: Къде занасят тая ефа?
11 И рече ми: За да построят за нея къща в земята Сенаар; и когато се приготви, тя ще бъде поставена там на своето място.
6 И пак подигнах очите си та погледнах, и, ето четири колесници излизаха изсред две планини; и планините бяха медни,
2 В първата колесница имаше червени коне, във втората колесница черни коне,
3 в третата колесница бели коне, а в четвъртата колесница пъстри пепеляви коне.
4 Тогава проговаряйки рекох на ангела, който говореше с мене: Какви са тия, господарю мой?
5 И отговор ангелът ми рече: Тия са четирите небесни духове, които излизат отпред Господаря на целия свят, пред Когото са стояли.
6 Черните коне, които са в едната колесница, излизат към северната страна, и белите излизат след тях; а пъстрите излизат към южната страна.
7 Но пепелявите като излязоха поискаха да отидат и обходят света; и той им рече: Идете, обходете. И тъй обходиха света.
8 Тогава извика към мене та ми говори казвайки: Виж, ония, които излизат към северната страна, успокоиха духа Ми в северната страна.
9 И Господното слово дойде към мене и рече:
10 От върналите се от плен, сиреч, от Хелдая, от Товия и от Иедаия, вземи та дойди в същия ден, и влез в къщата на Иосия Софониевия син, гдето дойдоха от Вавилон, -
11 да! Вземи от тях сребро и злато, направи корони и положи ги на главата на великия свещеник Исус Иосиевият син;
12 и говори му казвайки: Така говори Господ на Силите, Който казва: Ето мъжът, чието име е Отрасъл; Той ще израсте от мястото си, И ще построи храма Господен.
13 Да! Той ще построи храма Господен; И като приеме славата, Ще седне на престола си като управител; Ще бъде и свещеник на престола си; И съвещание за установление на мир има между двамата.
14 И короните ще се дават на Елема, на Товия, на Иедаия и на Хена Софониевия син за спомен в Господния храм.
15 И далечните люде ще дойдат и ще градят в Господния храм; и ще познаете, че Господ на Силите ме е пратил при вас. А това ще се сбъдне ако послушате внимателно гласа на Господа вашия Бог.
7 И в четвъртата година на цар Дария Господното слово дойде към Захария, на четвъртия ден от деветия месец, месец Халев.
2 А жителите на Ветил бяха пратили Сарасара, Регемелеха и човеците им да искат Господното благоволение,
3 и да говорят на свещениците от дома на Господа на Силите, и на пророците, казвайки: Да плача ли в петия месец, като се отделя, както вече съм правил толкова години?
4 Тогава словото на Господа на Силите дойде към мене и рече:
5 Говори на всичките люде на тая земя и на свещениците, като кажеш: Когато постехте и скърбяхте в петия и в седмия месец през тия седемдесет години, наистина за Мене ли постехте, за Мене?
6 И когато ядяхте и пиехте, не ядяхте ли и не пиехте ли за себе си?
7 Не са ли тия думите, които Господ е говорил чрез предишните пророци, когато Ерусалим бе населен и благоденствуваше, както и околните му градове, и когато южната и полянската страни бяха населени?
8 И Господното слово дойде към Захария и рече:
