² The Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you,^(A) Satan! The Lord, who has chosen^(B) Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick^(C) snatched from the fire?”^(D)

²³ save others by snatching them from the fire;^(A) to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.^[a](B)

⁹ But even the archangel^(A) Michael,^(B) when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses,^(C) did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”^[a](D)

³³ Who will bring any charge^(A) against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.

¹⁷ “Proclaim further: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord will again comfort^(A) Zion and choose^(B) Jerusalem.’”^(C)

⁹ The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent^(A) called the devil,^(B) or Satan,^(C) who leads the whole world astray.^(D) He was hurled to the earth,^(E) and his angels with him.

¹⁰ Then I heard a loud voice in heaven^(F) say:

⁸ The one who does what is sinful is of the devil,^(A) because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God^(B) appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.^(C)

¹² The Lord will inherit^(A) Judah^(B) as his portion in the holy land and will again choose^(C) Jerusalem.
