3 Rồi Ngài cho tôi thấy Giô-suê [a], thầy tế lễ cả đứng trước mặt thiên sứ của CHÚA. Còn Kẻ Kiện Cáo [b] đứng bên tay phải người để tố cáo người. 2 Thiên sứ CHÚA hỏi kẻ Kiện cáo, “Nầy kẻ Kiện Cáo, cầu CHÚA quở trách ngươi! Cầu CHÚA là Đấng đã chọn Giê-ru-sa-lem quở trách ngươi! Người nầy như que đuốc cháy rút ra từ đám lửa.”
3 Giô-suê đang mặc áo quần dơ bẩn đứng trước mặt thiên sứ. 4 Thiên sứ bảo những kẻ đứng trước mặt người, “Hãy cởi quần áo dơ bẩn của người ra.” Rồi thiên sứ bảo Giô-suê, “Nầy, ta đã cất tội lỗi ra khỏi ngươi và ban cho ngươi áo quần xinh đẹp.”
5 Rồi tôi nói, “Hãy đội một khăn vành sạch lên đầu người.” Vậy người ta đội một khăn vành sạch lên đầu người và mặc áo quần cho người trong khi thiên sứ của CHÚA đứng đó.
6 Rồi thiên sứ của CHÚA dặn Giô-suê, 7 “CHÚA Toàn Năng phán như sau: ‘Nếu ngươi làm theo điều ta bảo và phục vụ ta thì ngươi sẽ được phụ trách Đền thờ và sân họp của ta. Ta sẽ cho ngươi được phép tiếp xúc với các thiên sứ đang đứng đây.
8 Nầy, Giô-suê, thầy tế lễ cả cùng các bạn hữu đang ngồi trước mặt ngươi, hãy nghe đây. Họ là hình ảnh của những điều sẽ xảy ra. Ta sẽ mang tôi tớ của ta đến. Người có tên là Nhánh. 9 Xem nầy, ta đặt trước mặt Giô-suê một tảng đá có bảy mặt [c]. Ta sẽ khắc một câu trên đó,’ CHÚA Toàn Năng phán. ‘Và trong một ngày, ta sẽ cất tội lỗi của đất nầy.’
10 CHÚA Toàn-Năng phán, ‘Trong ngày đó, mỗi người trong các ngươi sẽ mời láng giềng mình ngồi dưới cây nho và cây vả mình.’”

Clean Garments for the High Priest
3 Then he showed me Joshua(A) the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan[a](B) standing at his right side to accuse him. 2 The Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you,(C) Satan! The Lord, who has chosen(D) Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick(E) snatched from the fire?”(F)
3 Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. 4 The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.”
Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin,(G) and I will put fine garments(H) on you.”
5 Then I said, “Put a clean turban(I) on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the Lord stood by.
6 The angel of the Lord gave this charge to Joshua: 7 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘If you will walk in obedience to me and keep my requirements,(J) then you will govern my house(K) and have charge(L) of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.(M)
8 “‘Listen, High Priest(N) Joshua, you and your associates seated before you, who are men symbolic(O) of things to come: I am going to bring my servant, the Branch.(P) 9 See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua!(Q) There are seven eyes[b](R) on that one stone,(S) and I will engrave an inscription on it,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will remove the sin(T) of this land in a single day.
10 “‘In that day each of you will invite your neighbor to sit(U) under your vine and fig tree,(V)’ declares the Lord Almighty.”

2 And the Lord said unto Satan, The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the Lord stood by.
6 And the angel of the Lord protested unto Joshua, saying,
7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.
8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch.
9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
10 In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.
