19 Sedan hörde jag likasom starka röster av en stor skara i himmelen, som sade »Halleluja! Frälsningen och äran och makten tillhöra vår Gud.
2 Ty rätta och rättfärdiga äro hans domar; han har dömt den stora skökan, som fördärvade jorden genom sin otukt, och han har utkrävt sina tjänares blod av hennes hand.»
3 Och åter sade de: »Halleluja!» Och röken från henne stiger upp i evigheternas evigheter!
4 Och de tjugufyra äldste och de fyra väsendena föllo ned och tillbådo Gud, som satt på tronen; de sade: »Amen! Halleluja!»
5 Och från tronen utgick en röst, som sade: »Loven vår Gud, alla I hans tjänare, I som frukten honom, både små och stora.»
6 Och jag hörde likasom röster av en stor skara, lika bruset av stora vatten och dånet av starka tordön; de sade: »Halleluja! Herren, vår Gud, den Allsmäktige, har nu trätt fram såsom konung.
7 Låtom oss glädjas och fröjda oss och giva honom äran; ty tiden är inne för Lammets bröllop, och dess brud har gjort sig redo.
8 Och åt henne har blivit givet att kläda sig i fint linne, skinande och rent.» Det fina linnet är de heligas rättfärdighet.
9 Och han sade till mig: »Skriv: Saliga äro de som äro bjudna till Lammets bröllopsmåltid.» Ytterligare sade han till mig: »Dessa ord äro sanna Guds ord.»
10 Och jag föll ned för hans fötter för att tillbedja honom, men han sade till mig: »Gör icke så. Jag är din medtjänare och dina bröders, deras som hava Jesu vittnesbörd. Gud skall du tillbedja. Ty Jesu vittnesbörd är profetians ande.»
11 Och jag såg himmelen öppen och fick där se en vit häst; och mannen som satt på den heter »Trofast och sannfärdig», och han dömer och strider i rättfärdighet.
12 Hans ögon voro såsom eldslågor, och på sitt huvud bar han många kronor och hade ett namn där skrivet, som ingen känner utom han själv.
13 Och han var klädd i en mantel som var doppad i blod; och det namn han har fått är »Guds Ord».
14 Och honom följde, på vita hästar, de himmelska härskarorna, klädda i fint linne, vitt och rent.
15 Och från hans mun utgick ett skarpt svärd, varmed han skulle slå folken. Och han skall styra dem med järnspira; och han trampar Guds, den Allsmäktiges, stränga vredes vinpress.
16 Och på sin mantel, över sin länd, har han detta namn skrivet: »Konungarnas konung och herrarnas herre.»
17 Och jag såg en ängel stå i solen, och denne ropade med hög röst och sade till alla fåglar som flögo fram uppe i himlarymden: »Kommen hit, församlen eder till Guds stora gästabud,
18 för att äta kött av konungar och krigsöverstar och hjältar, kött av hästar och deras ryttare, ja, kött av alla, både fria och trälar, både små och stora.»
19 Och jag såg vilddjuret och konungarna på jorden med sina härskaror, samlade för att utkämpa sin strid mot honom som satt på hästen och mot hans härskara.
20 Och vilddjuret blev gripet, därjämte ock den falske profeten, som i dess åsyn hade gjort de tecken med vilka han hade förvillat dem som hade tagit vilddjurets märke, och dem som hade tillbett dess bild. Båda blevo de levande kastade i eldsjön, som brann med svavel.
21 Och de andra blevo dräpta med ryttarens svärd, det som utgick från hans mun; och alla fåglar blevo mättade av deras kött.

19 After this I heard what sounded like a large crowd of people in heaven. The people were saying,
“Hallelujah[a]!
Victory, glory, and power belong to our God.
2 His judgments are true and right.
Our God has punished the prostitute.
She is the one who ruined the earth with her sexual sin.
God has punished the prostitute to pay her back for the death of his servants.”
3 These people also said,
“Hallelujah!
She is burning and her smoke will rise forever and ever.”
4 Then the 24 elders and the four living beings bowed down. They worshiped God, who sits on the throne. They said,
“Amen! Hallelujah!”
5 Then a voice came from the throne and said,
“Praise our God,
all you who serve him!
Praise our God,
all you small and great who honor him!”
6 Then I heard something that sounded like a large crowd of people. It was as loud as crashing waves or claps of thunder. The people were saying,
“Hallelujah!
Our Lord God rules.
He is the All-Powerful.
7 Let us rejoice and be happy
and give God glory!
Give God glory, because the wedding of the Lamb has come.
And the Lamb’s bride has made herself ready.
8 Fine linen was given to the bride for her to wear.
The linen was bright and clean.”
(The fine linen means the good things that God’s holy people did.)
9 Then the angel said to me, “Write this: Great blessings belong to those who are invited to the wedding meal of the Lamb!” Then the angel said, “These are the true words of God.”
10 Then I bowed down before the angel’s feet to worship him. But the angel said to me, “Don’t worship me! I am a servant like you and your brothers and sisters who have the truth of Jesus. So worship God! Because the truth of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
The Rider on the White Horse
11 Then I saw heaven open. There before me was a white horse. The rider on the horse was called Faithful and True, because he is right in his judging and in making war. 12 His eyes were like burning fire. He had many crowns on his head. A name was written on him, but he was the only one who knew its meaning. 13 He was dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and he was called the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven were following the rider on the white horse. They were also riding white horses. They were dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 A sharp sword came out of the rider’s mouth, a sword that he would use to defeat the nations. And he will rule the nations with a rod of iron. He will crush the grapes in the winepress of the terrible anger of God All-Powerful. 16 On his robe and on his leg was written this name:

17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun. In a loud voice the angel said to all the birds flying in the sky, “Come together for the great supper of God. 18 Come together so that you can eat the bodies of rulers and army commanders and famous men. Come to eat the bodies of the horses and their riders and the bodies of all people—free, slave, small, and great.”
19 Then I saw the beast and the rulers of the earth. Their armies were gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. 20 But the beast was captured, and the false prophet was also captured. He was the one who did the miracles[b] for the beast. He had used these miracles to trick those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its idol. The false prophet and the beast were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. 21 Their armies were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse. All the birds ate these bodies until they were full.

Threefold Hallelujah Over Babylon’s Fall
19 After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude(A) in heaven shouting:
“Hallelujah!(B)
Salvation(C) and glory and power(D) belong to our God,
2 for true and just are his judgments.(E)
He has condemned the great prostitute(F)
who corrupted the earth by her adulteries.
He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”(G)
3 And again they shouted:
4 The twenty-four elders(J) and the four living creatures(K) fell down(L) and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried:
“Amen, Hallelujah!”(M)
5 Then a voice came from the throne, saying:
6 Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude,(P) like the roar of rushing waters(Q) and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:
“Hallelujah!(R)
For our Lord God Almighty(S) reigns.(T)
7 Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory!(U)
For the wedding of the Lamb(V) has come,
and his bride(W) has made herself ready.
8 Fine linen,(X) bright and clean,
was given her to wear.”
(Fine linen stands for the righteous acts(Y) of God’s holy people.)
9 Then the angel said to me,(Z) “Write this:(AA) Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!”(AB) And he added, “These are the true words of God.”(AC)
10 At this I fell at his feet to worship him.(AD) But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God!(AE) For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.”(AF)
The Heavenly Warrior Defeats the Beast
11 I saw heaven standing open(AG) and there before me was a white horse, whose rider(AH) is called Faithful and True.(AI) With justice he judges and wages war.(AJ) 12 His eyes are like blazing fire,(AK) and on his head are many crowns.(AL) He has a name written on him(AM) that no one knows but he himself.(AN) 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood,(AO) and his name is the Word of God.(AP) 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen,(AQ) white(AR) and clean. 15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword(AS) with which to strike down(AT) the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.”[a](AU) He treads the winepress(AV) of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:(AW)
king of kings and lord of lords.(AX)
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds(AY) flying in midair,(AZ) “Come,(BA) gather together for the great supper of God,(BB) 18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people,(BC) free and slave,(BD) great and small.”(BE)
19 Then I saw the beast(BF) and the kings of the earth(BG) and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse(BH) and his army. 20 But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet(BI) who had performed the signs(BJ) on its behalf.(BK) With these signs he had deluded(BL) those who had received the mark of the beast(BM) and worshiped its image.(BN) The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake(BO) of burning sulfur.(BP) 21 The rest were killed with the sword(BQ) coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse,(BR) and all the birds(BS) gorged themselves on their flesh.

7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

19 (AM)And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. 20 (AN)Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and (AO)those who worshiped his image. (AP)These two were cast alive into the lake of fire (AQ)burning with brimstone. 21 And the rest (AR)were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse.
