The Bride

⁷ For not one of us ^(A)lives for himself, and not one dies for himself; ⁸ for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore ^(B)whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

¹⁹ Or ^(A)do you not know that ^(B)your body is a ^[a]temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from ^[b]God, and that ^(C)you are not your own? ²⁰ For ^(D)you have been bought for a price: therefore glorify God in ^(E)your body.

^17 (A)Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, ^(B)giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

⁹ For we are God’s ^(A)fellow workers; you are God’s ^[a](B)field, God’s ^(C)building.

The Armor of God

¹⁰ Finally, ^(A)be strong in the Lord and in ^(B)the strength of His might.

⁹ By this the love of God was revealed ^[a](A)in us, that ^(B)God has sent His only Son into the world so that we may live through Him.

¹⁸ Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; ^(A)I will make him a helper ^[a]suitable for him.” ^19 (B)And out of the ground the Lord God formed every animal of the field and every bird of the sky, and ^(C)brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name. ²⁰ The man gave names to all the livestock, and to the birds of the sky, and to every animal of the field, but for ^[b]Adam there was not found ^(D)a helper ^[c]suitable for him. ²¹ So the Lord God caused a ^(E)deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. ²² And the Lord God ^[d]fashioned into a woman ^(F)the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. ²³ Then the man said,

^24 (H)For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
