¹¹ For ^(A)I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you—

⁶ And ^(A)when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and ^(B)they began speaking in tongues and ^(C)prophesying.

¹⁵ who came down and prayed for them ^(A)that they might receive the Holy Spirit, ¹⁶ for ^(B)he had not yet ^(C)fallen on any of them, but ^(D)they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. ¹⁷ Then ^(E)they laid their hands on them and ^(F)they received the Holy Spirit. ¹⁸ Now when Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money, ¹⁹ saying, “Give me this power also, so that anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

²⁹ I know that when I come to you I will come in the fullness of the blessing^[a] of Christ.

¹⁷ You therefore, beloved, ^(A)knowing this beforehand, ^(B)take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. ¹⁸ But ^(C)grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. ^(D)To him be the glory both now and to the day of ^(E)eternity. ¹² Therefore I intend ^(A)always to remind you of these qualities, though you know them and are established in ^(B)the truth that you have.
