¹³ And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: ^(A)Blessed are the dead ^(B)who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, ^(C)“that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”

^6 (A)Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such ^(B)the second death has no power, but they will be ^(C)priests of God and of Christ, and they ^(D)will reign with him for a thousand years.

^7 (A)I have fought the good fight, ^(B)I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. ⁸ Henceforth there is ^(C)laid up for me ^(D)the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, ^(E)the righteous judge, will award to me on ^(F)that day, and not only to me but also to all ^(G)who have loved his appearing.

⁹ So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, ¹⁰ for whoever has entered God's rest has also ^(A)rested from his works as God did from his.

¹¹ Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so ^(B)that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.

^10 (A)who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him.

¹⁶ For ^(A)the Lord himself will descend ^(B)from heaven ^(C)with a cry of command, with the voice of ^(D)an archangel, and ^(E)with the sound of the trumpet of God. And ^(F)the dead in Christ will rise first.

^58 (A)Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in ^(B)the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord ^(C)your labor is not in vain.

⁹ And the angel said^[a] to me, “Write this: ^(A)Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, ^(B)“These are the true words of God.”

¹⁰ For ^(A)God is not unjust so as to overlook ^(B)your work and the love that you have shown for his name in ^(C)serving the saints, as you still do. ¹¹ And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance ^(D)of hope until the end,
