3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare(E)
and from the deadly pestilence.(F)
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;(G)
his faithfulness will be your shield(H) and rampart.
5 You will not fear(I) the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.(J)
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm(K) will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels(L) concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;(M)
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.(N)
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.(O)
14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.(P)
16 With long life(Q) I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.(R)”

1 It is good to praise the Lord
and make music(S) to your name,(T) O Most High,(U)
2 proclaiming your love in the morning(V)
and your faithfulness at night,
3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre(W)
and the melody of the harp.(X)
4 For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord;
I sing for joy(Y) at what your hands have done.(Z)
5 How great are your works,(AA) Lord,
how profound your thoughts!(AB)
6 Senseless people(AC) do not know,
fools do not understand,
7 that though the wicked spring up like grass
and all evildoers flourish,
they will be destroyed forever.(AD)
8 But you, Lord, are forever exalted.
9 For surely your enemies(AE), Lord,
surely your enemies will perish;
all evildoers will be scattered.(AF)
10 You have exalted my horn[d](AG) like that of a wild ox;(AH)
fine oils(AI) have been poured on me.
11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries;
my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes.(AJ)
12 The righteous will flourish(AK) like a palm tree,
they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;(AL)
13 planted in the house of the Lord,
they will flourish in the courts of our God.(AM)
14 They will still bear fruit(AN) in old age,
they will stay fresh and green,
15 proclaiming, “The Lord is upright;
he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.(AO)”

the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength;(AR)
indeed, the world is established,(AS) firm and secure.(AT)
2 Your throne was established(AU) long ago;
you are from all eternity.(AV)
3 The seas(AW) have lifted up, Lord,
the seas have lifted up their voice;(AX)
the seas have lifted up their pounding waves.(AY)
4 Mightier than the thunder(AZ) of the great waters,
mightier than the breakers(BA) of the sea—
the Lord on high is mighty.(BB)
1 The Lord is a God who avenges.(BE)
O God who avenges, shine forth.(BF)
2 Rise up,(BG) Judge(BH) of the earth;
pay back(BI) to the proud what they deserve.
3 How long, Lord, will the wicked,
how long will the wicked be jubilant?(BJ)
4 They pour out arrogant(BK) words;
all the evildoers are full of boasting.(BL)
5 They crush your people,(BM) Lord;
they oppress your inheritance.(BN)
6 They slay the widow(BO) and the foreigner;
they murder the fatherless.(BP)
7 They say, “The Lord does not see;(BQ)
the God of Jacob(BR) takes no notice.”
8 Take notice, you senseless ones(BS) among the people;
you fools, when will you become wise?
9 Does he who fashioned the ear not hear?
Does he who formed the eye not see?(BT)
10 Does he who disciplines(BU) nations not punish?
Does he who teaches(BV) mankind lack knowledge?
11 The Lord knows all human plans;(BW)
he knows that they are futile.(BX)
12 Blessed is the one you discipline,(BY) Lord,
the one you teach(BZ) from your law;
13 you grant them relief from days of trouble,(CA)
till a pit(CB) is dug for the wicked.
14 For the Lord will not reject his people;(CC)
he will never forsake his inheritance.
15 Judgment will again be founded on righteousness,(CD)
and all the upright in heart(CE) will follow it.
16 Who will rise up(CF) for me against the wicked?
Who will take a stand for me against evildoers?(CG)
17 Unless the Lord had given me help,(CH)
I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.(CI)
18 When I said, “My foot is slipping,(CJ)”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me.
19 When anxiety(CK) was great within me,
your consolation(CL) brought me joy.
20 Can a corrupt throne(CM) be allied with you—
a throne that brings on misery by its decrees?(CN)
21 The wicked band together(CO) against the righteous
and condemn the innocent(CP) to death.(CQ)
22 But the Lord has become my fortress,
and my God the rock(CR) in whom I take refuge.(CS)
23 He will repay(CT) them for their sins
and destroy(CU) them for their wickedness;
the Lord our God will destroy them.
3 For the Lord is the great God,(DC)
the great King(DD) above all gods.(DE)
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth,(DF)
and the mountain peaks belong to him.
5 The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.(DG)
Today, if only you would hear his voice,
8 “Do not harden your hearts(DM) as you did at Meribah,[e](DN)
as you did that day at Massah[f] in the wilderness,(DO)
9 where your ancestors tested(DP) me;
they tried me, though they had seen what I did.
10 For forty years(DQ) I was angry with that generation;
I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray,(DR)
and they have not known my ways.’(DS)
11 So I declared on oath(DT) in my anger,
‘They shall never enter my rest.’”(DU)

2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name;(DY)
proclaim his salvation(DZ) day after day.
3 Declare his glory(EA) among the nations,
his marvelous deeds(EB) among all peoples.
4 For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;(EC)
he is to be feared(ED) above all gods.(EE)
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols,(EF)
but the Lord made the heavens.(EG)
6 Splendor and majesty(EH) are before him;
strength and glory(EI) are in his sanctuary.
7 Ascribe to the Lord,(EJ) all you families of nations,(EK)
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
8 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
bring an offering(EL) and come into his courts.(EM)
9 Worship the Lord(EN) in the splendor of his[g] holiness;(EO)
tremble(EP) before him, all the earth.(EQ)
10 Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.(ER)”
The world is firmly established,(ES) it cannot be moved;(ET)
he will judge(EU) the peoples with equity.(EV)
11 Let the heavens rejoice,(EW) let the earth be glad;(EX)
let the sea resound, and all that is in it.
12 Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them;
let all the trees of the forest(EY) sing for joy.(EZ)
13 Let all creation rejoice before the Lord, for he comes,
he comes to judge(FA) the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness(FB)
and the peoples in his faithfulness.(FC)
1 The Lord reigns,(FD) let the earth be glad;(FE)
let the distant shores(FF) rejoice.
2 Clouds(FG) and thick darkness(FH) surround him;
righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.(FI)
3 Fire(FJ) goes before(FK) him
and consumes(FL) his foes on every side.
4 His lightning(FM) lights up the world;
the earth(FN) sees and trembles.(FO)
5 The mountains melt(FP) like wax(FQ) before the Lord,
before the Lord of all the earth.(FR)
6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness,(FS)
and all peoples see his glory.(FT)
8 Zion hears and rejoices
and the villages of Judah are glad(FZ)
because of your judgments,(GA) Lord.
9 For you, Lord, are the Most High(GB) over all the earth;(GC)
you are exalted(GD) far above all gods.
10 Let those who love the Lord hate evil,(GE)
for he guards(GF) the lives of his faithful ones(GG)
and delivers(GH) them from the hand of the wicked.(GI)
11 Light shines[h](GJ) on the righteous(GK)
and joy on the upright in heart.(GL)
12 Rejoice in the Lord,(GM) you who are righteous,
and praise his holy name.(GN)
1 Sing to the Lord(GO) a new song,(GP)
for he has done marvelous things;(GQ)
his right hand(GR) and his holy arm(GS)
have worked salvation(GT) for him.
2 The Lord has made his salvation known(GU)
and revealed his righteousness(GV) to the nations.(GW)
3 He has remembered(GX) his love
and his faithfulness to Israel;
all the ends of the earth(GY) have seen
the salvation of our God.(GZ)
4 Shout for joy(HA) to the Lord, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;
5 make music to the Lord with the harp,(HB)
with the harp and the sound of singing,(HC)
6 with trumpets(HD) and the blast of the ram’s horn(HE)—
shout for joy(HF) before the Lord, the King.(HG)
7 Let the sea(HH) resound, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it.(HI)
8 Let the rivers clap their hands,(HJ)
let the mountains(HK) sing together for joy;
9 let them sing before the Lord,
for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples with equity.(HL)

let the nations tremble;(HN)
he sits enthroned(HO) between the cherubim,(HP)
let the earth shake.
2 Great is the Lord(HQ) in Zion;(HR)
he is exalted(HS) over all the nations.
3 Let them praise(HT) your great and awesome name(HU)—
he is holy.(HV)
4 The King(HW) is mighty, he loves justice(HX)—
you have established equity;(HY)
in Jacob you have done
what is just and right.(HZ)
5 Exalt(IA) the Lord our God
and worship at his footstool;
he is holy.
6 Moses(IB) and Aaron(IC) were among his priests,
Samuel(ID) was among those who called on his name;
they called on the Lord
and he answered(IE) them.
7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud;(IF)
they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them.
8 Lord our God,
you answered them;
you were to Israel a forgiving God,(IG)
though you punished(IH) their misdeeds.[i]
9 Exalt the Lord our God
and worship at his holy mountain,
for the Lord our God is holy.
