Psalm 1
Darby Translation
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, and standeth not in the way of sinners, and sitteth not in the seat of scorners;
2 But his delight is in Jehovah's law, and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he [is] as a tree planted by brooks of water, which giveth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf fadeth not; and all that he doeth prospereth.
4 The wicked are not so; but are as the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6 For Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.

Book One
The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked
1 Blessed is the man[a]
who (A)walks not in (B)the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in (C)the way of sinners,
nor (D)sits in (E)the seat of (F)scoffers;
2 but his (G)delight is in the law[b] of the Lord,
and on his (H)law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like (I)a tree
planted by (J)streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its (K)leaf does not wither.
(L)In all that he does, he prospers.
4 The wicked are not so,
but are like (M)chaff that the wind drives away.

1 (A)Блажен е оня човек, който не отива в събранието на нечестивци, в пътя на грешници не стои и в сборището на развратители не седи,
2 (B)а в закона на Господа е волята му, и върху Неговия закон той размишлява денем и нощем!
3 (C)И ще бъде той като дърво, посадено край водни потоци, което дава плода си в свое време, и чийто лист не вехне; и във всичко, що върши, ще успее.
4 (D)Не тъй са нечестивците, (не тъй;) но те са като прах, що вятърът измита (от земното лице).
5 (E)Затова нечестивците не ще устоят на съда, и грешниците – в събранието на праведните.
6 (F)Защото Господ знае пътя на праведните, а пътят на нечестивците ще погине.
