You Are a Priest Forever

Of David. A Psalm.

⁶⁴ Jesus *said to him, “^(A)You yourself said it; nevertheless I tell you, ^[a]hereafter you will see ^(B)the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and ^(C)coming on the clouds of heaven.”

¹⁹ So then, the Lord Jesus, after He had ^(A)spoken to them, ^(B)was taken up into heaven and ^(C)sat down at the right hand of God.

³⁴ For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says:

³⁶ Therefore let all the ^(B)house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both ^(C)Lord and ^[b]Christ—this Jesus ^(D)whom you crucified.”

About Three Thousand Souls Saved

³⁷ Now when they heard this, they were ^[c]pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men, brothers, ^(E)what should we do?” ³⁸ And Peter said to them, “^(F)Repent, and each of you be ^(G)baptized in the name of Jesus Christ ^[d]for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. ³⁹ For ^(H)the promise is for you and your children and for all who are ^(I)far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” ⁴⁰ And with many other words he solemnly ^(J)bore witness and kept on exhorting them, saying, “^[e]Be saved from this ^(K)crooked generation!” ⁴¹ So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand ^(L)souls. ⁴² And they were ^(M)continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to ^(N)the breaking of bread and ^[f](O)to the prayers.

⁴³ And fear came upon every soul; and many ^(P)wonders and ^[g]signs were taking place through the apostles. ⁴⁴ And all those who had believed ^[h]were together and ^(Q)had all things in common; ⁴⁵ and they ^(R)began selling their property and possessions and were ^(S)dividing them up with all, as anyone might have need. ^46 (T)And daily devoting themselves with one accord in the temple and ^(U)breaking bread ^[i]from house to house, they were taking their ^[j]meals together with gladness and ^[k]sincerity of heart, ⁴⁷ praising God and ^(V)having favor with all the people. And the Lord ^(W)was adding ^[l]to their number daily ^(X)those who were being saved.

²⁵ For He must reign ^(A)until He has put all His enemies under His feet.

¹³ But to which of the angels has He ever said,

¹³ waiting from that time ^(A)until His enemies are put as a footstool for His feet.
