⁵ How great are your works,^(A) Lord,
    how profound your thoughts!^(B)

⁸ “For my thoughts^(A) are not your thoughts,
    neither are your ways my ways,”^(B)
declares the Lord.
⁹ “As the heavens are higher than the earth,^(C)
    so are my ways higher than your ways
    and my thoughts than your thoughts.^(D)

⁵ Many, Lord my God,
    are the wonders^(A) you have done,
    the things you planned for us.
None can compare^(B) with you;
    were I to speak and tell of your deeds,
    they would be too many^(C) to declare.

¹⁷ How precious to me are your thoughts,^[a](A) God!^(B)
    How vast is the sum of them!

³ Great^(A) is the Lord and most worthy of praise;^(B)
    his greatness no one can fathom.^(C)
4 One generation^(D) commends your works to another;
    they tell^(E) of your mighty acts.^(F)

² Great are the works^(A) of the Lord;
    they are pondered by all^(B) who delight in them.

“Great and marvelous are your deeds,^(D)
    Lord God Almighty.^(E)
Just and true are your ways,^(F)
