² As ^(A)smoke is driven away, so you shall drive them away;
    ^(B)as wax melts before fire,
    so the wicked shall perish before God!

⁴ And ^(A)the mountains will melt under him,
    and the valleys will split open,
like wax before the fire,
    like waters poured down a steep place.

³ Therefore they shall be ^(A)like the morning mist
    or ^(B)like the dew that goes early away,
^(C)like the chaff that swirls from the threshing floor
    or ^(D)like smoke from a window.
