But ^(B)the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.

⁸ The ^(A)wise of heart will receive commands,
But ^[a]a babbling fool will be ^[b]ruined.

¹⁰ He ^(A)who winks the eye causes trouble,
And ^[a](B)a babbling fool will be ^[b]ruined.
¹¹ The ^(C)mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life,
But ^(D)the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.

¹⁴ Wise men ^(A)store up knowledge,
But with ^(B)the mouth of the foolish, ruin is at hand.

⁹ With his ^(A)mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor,
But through knowledge the ^(B)righteous will be delivered.

⁶ The ^(A)words of the wicked lie in wait for blood,
But the ^(B)mouth of the upright will deliver them.

³ In the mouth of the foolish is a rod ^[a]for his back,
But ^(A)the lips of the wise will protect them.

² The ^(A)tongue of the wise makes knowledge ^[a]acceptable,
But the ^(B)mouth of fools spouts folly.

⁷ The lips of the wise spread knowledge,
But the hearts of fools are not so.
