22 Are they (A)Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I. 23 Are they ministers of Christ?—I speak as a fool—I am more: (B)in labors more abundant, (C)in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, (D)in deaths often. 24 From the Jews five times I received (E)forty (F)stripes minus one. 25 Three times I was (G)beaten with rods; (H)once I was stoned; three times I (I)was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26 in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, (J)in perils of my own countrymen, (K)in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27 in weariness and toil, (L)in sleeplessness often, (M)in hunger and thirst, in (N)fastings often, in cold and nakedness— 28 besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: (O)my deep concern for all the churches. 29 (P)Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation?

I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews,(M) in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city,(N) in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers.(O) 27 I have labored and toiled(P) and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food;(Q) I have been cold and naked. 28 Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches.(R) 29 Who is weak, and I do not feel weak?(S) Who is led into sin,(T) and I do not inwardly burn?

The Gift of His Peace

25 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26 But (A)the [a]Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will (B)send in My name, (C)He will teach you all things, and bring to your (D)remembrance all things that I said to you. 27 (E)Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.
