Ang Salita ng Diyos
Ang Ilog na Nagbibigay Buhay
22 Ipinakita niya sa akin ang isang ilog na may dalisay na tubig na nagbibigay buhay. Ito ay nagniningning katulad ng kristal. Ito ay lumalabas mula sa trono ng Diyos at ng Kordero.
2 Sa kalagitnaan ng lansangan at sa magkabilang panig ng ilog, naroroon ang punong-kahoy na nagbibigay buhay. Ito ay nagbubunga ng labindalawang bunga. Bawat buwan ay magbibigay ng kaniyang bunga. Ang dahon ng punong-kahoy ay para sa pagpapagaling ng mga bansa. 3 Doon ay hindi na magkakaroon ng sumpa. Ang trono ng Diyos at ng Kordero ay makikita sa lungsod. Ang kaniyang mga alipin ay maglilingkod sa kaniya. 4 Makikita nila ang kaniyang mukha. Ang kaniyang pangalan ay nasa mga noo nila. 5 Hindi na magkakaroon ng gabi roon. Hindi na nila kailangan ang isang ilawan o ang liwanag ng araw sapagkat ang Panginoong Diyos ang magliliwanag sa kanila. Sila ay maghahari magpakailan pa man.
6 Sinabi ng anghel sa akin: Ang mga salitang ito ay tapat at totoo. Ang Panginoong Diyos ng mga propetang banal ay nagsugo ng kaniyang anghel upang ipakita ang mga bagay na dapat nang mangyari kaagad.
Si Jesus ay Darating
7 Narito, malapit na akong dumating. Pinagpala ang tumutupad sa mga pahayag ng Diyos sa aklat na ito.
8 At akong si Juan na nakakita at nakarinig ng mga bagay na ito ay nagpatirapa sa paanan ng anghel, na siyang nagpakita sa akin ng mga bagay na ito, upang sambahin siya. 9 Sinabi niya sa akin: Huwag mong gawin ito sapagkat ako ay iyong kapwa alipin at gayundin ang iyong mga kapatid na lalaki na mga propeta at sa mga tumutupad ng mga salita sa aklat na ito. Ang Diyos ang sambahin mo.
10 At sinabi niya sa akin: Huwag mong selyohan ang mga pahayag sa aklat na ito sapagkat nalalapit na ang panahon. 11 Ang hindi matuwid ay magpapatuloy sa pagiging hindi matuwid. Ang masama ay magpapatuloy sa pagiging masama. Ang matuwid ay magpapatuloy sa pagiging matuwid. Ang banal ay magpapatuloy sa pagpapakabanal.
12 Narito, malapit na Akong dumating. Ang aking gantimpala ay nasa akin upang igawad sa bawat tao ayon sa kaniyang gawa. 13 Ako ang Alpha at Omega, ang simula at ang wakas, ang una at ang huli.
14 Pinagpala ang mga tumutupad sa kaniyang mga utos. Sila ay magkakaroon ng karapatang kumain mula sa punong-kahoy ng buhay at pumasok sa mga tarangkahan ng lungsod. 15 Ngunit sa labas ng mga ito ay mananatili ang mga aso, ang mga gumagawa ng panggagaway, mga mapakiapid, mga mamamatay-tao, mga mapagsamba sa diyos-diyosan at bawat gumugusto sa kasinungalingan at ang mga sinungaling.
16 Akong si Jesus ay nagsugo ng aking anghel upang siya ay magpatotoo sa mga bagay na ito sa inyong mga nasa iglesiya. Ako ang ugat at ang anak ni David, ang maningning na tala sa umaga.
17 Ang Espiritu at dalagang ikakasal ay nagsabi: Halika. At ang nakarinig ay dapat magsabi: Halika. Ang nauuhaw ay dapat lumapit. Ang naghahangad ay dapat uminom ng walang bayad sa tubig na nagbibigay buhay.
18 Ang dahilan nito ay nagpapatotoo rin ako sa lahat ng nakakarinig ng mga pahayag ng Diyos sa aklat na ito. Sinabi ko: Kapag dinagdagan ng sinuman ang mga bagay na ito, idadagdag ng Diyos sa kaniya ang mga salot na aking isinulat sa aklat na ito. 19 Kung binawasan ng sinuman ang mga salita sa aklat ng pahayag na ito, aalisin ng Diyos ang kaniyang bahagi sa aklat ng buhay. Aalisin din ang kaniyang bahagi sa banal na lungsod at mula sa mga bagay na isinulat sa aklat na ito.
20 Siya na nagpapatotoo sa mga bagay na ito ay nagsabi: Oo, ako ay malapit nang dumating.
Siya nawa. Oo, Panginoong Jesus, dumating ka na.
21 Ang biyaya ng ating Panginoong Jesucristo ay mapasainyo nawang lahat. Siya nawa!

22 Pagkatapos ay ipinakita (A) sa akin ng anghel ang ilog ng tubig ng buhay na kasinlinaw ng kristal. Bumubukal iyon mula sa trono ng Diyos at ng Kordero 2 sa (B) gitna ng lansangan ng lungsod.Naroon sa magkabilang pampang ng ilog ang puno ng buhay na namumunga ng labindalawang uri ng prutas, namumunga ito bawat buwan; at ang mga dahon ng puno ay nakapagpapagaling sa mga bansa. 3 Hindi na (C) magkakaroon doon ng anumang isinumpa, sapagkat ang trono ng Diyos at ng Kordero ay naroon, at sasambahin siya ng kanyang mga lingkod. 4 Makikita nila ang kanyang mukha, at ang pangalan niya ay masusulat sa kanilang mga noo. 5 Wala (D) nang gabi; hindi na nila kakailanganin pa ng liwanag o ng araw, sapagkat ang Panginoong Diyos ang magliliwanag sa kanila, at maghahari sila magpakailanpaman.

6 At sinabi niya sa akin, “Ang mga salitang ito ay tapat at totoo. Ang Panginoon, na siyang Diyos ng mga espiritu ng mga propeta, ay nagsugo ng kanyang anghel upang ipakita sa kanyang mga lingkod kung ano ang malapit nang mangyari.”
7 “Tingnan mo, ako'y malapit nang dumating! Pinagpala ang nag-iingat ng mga salita ng propesiya ng aklat na ito.”
8 Akong si Juan ay nakarinig at nakakita sa mga bagay na ito. Matapos kong marinig at makita ang lahat, nagpatirapa ako upang sumamba sa harapan ng anghel na siyang nagpakita ng mga bagay na ito sa akin. 9 Ngunit sinabi niya sa akin, “Huwag mong gawin iyan! Ako'y kapwa mo lingkod at ng mga kapatid mong propeta, at ng mga sumusunod sa mga salita sa aklat na ito. Sa Diyos ka sumamba!”
10 At sinabi pa niya sa akin, “Huwag mong takpan ng tatak ang mga salita ng propesiya ng aklat na ito, sapagkat ang panahon ay malapit na. 11 Hayaang (E) magpakasama pa ang gumagawa ng masama, at ang marumi ay magpakarumi pa, ang matuwid ay magpakatuwid pa, at ang banal ay manatiling banal.”
12 “Tingnan (F) mo, ako'y malapit nang dumating; dala ko ang aking gantimpala, upang gantimpalaan ang bawat isa ayon sa kanyang ginawa. 13 Ako (G) ang Alpha at ang Omega, ang una at ang huli, ang simula at ang wakas.”
14 Pinagpala (H) ang mga naghuhugas ng kanilang mga damit, upang magkaroon sila ng karapatan sa puno ng buhay at makapasok sa mga pintuan ng lungsod. 15 Sa labas naman ay ang mga aso, mga mangkukulam, mga mapakiapid, mga mamamatay-tao, mga sumasamba sa diyus-diyosan, at ang bawat mahilig gumawa ng kasinungalingan.
16 “Akong (I) si Jesus ang nagsugo ng aking anghel sa inyo upang magpatotoo sa mga bagay na ito sa harap ng mga iglesya. Ako ang ugat at ang supling ni David, ang maningning na tala sa umaga.”
17 Sinasabi (J) ng Espiritu at ng babaing ikakasal, “Halika.”
Magsabi ang bawat nakikinig, “Halika.”
Lumapit ang nauuhaw.
Ang sinumang may nais ay kumuha ng tubig ng buhay nang walang bayad.
18 Binabalaan (K) ko ang sinumang nakikinig sa mga salita ng propesiya ng aklat na ito: sinumang magdagdag sa mga ito, idadagdag ng Diyos sa kanya ang mga salot na nakasulat sa aklat na ito; 19 at sinumang magbawas mula sa mga salita ng aklat ng propesiyang ito, babawasin ng Diyos ang kanyang bahagi sa puno ng buhay at sa banal na lungsod, na nakasulat sa aklat na ito.
20 Ang nagpapatotoo sa mga bagay na ito ay nagsasabi, “Oo, malapit na akong dumating.”[a]
Amen. Dumating ka nawa, Panginoong Jesus! 21 Pagpalain nawa ng Panginoong Jesus ang lahat. Amen.

22 Then the angel showed me the river of the ·water of life [or living water]. It was ·shining [bright; clear] like crystal and was flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the ·street [main street; square] of the city [Gen. 2:10; Ezek. 47:1–12]. The tree of life was on each side of the river [Gen. 2:9; C heaven is like Eden, only better]. It produces ·fruit twelve times a year, once each month [or twelve kinds of fruit, producing fruit each month]. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of all the nations. 3 ·Nothing that God judges guilty will be in that city [Nothing accursed will be there; or There will no longer be any curse; Gen. 3:16–19; Zech. 14:11]. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and God’s servants will ·worship [serve] him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads [C denoting ownership; 3:12; 7:3; contrast 13:16; Ex. 28:36–38]. 5 There will never be night again. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord God will give them light. And they will ·rule as kings [reign] forever and ever.
6 The angel said to me, “These words ·can be trusted and are [are faithful and] true.” The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets [C the spirit that inspires the prophets; 1 Cor. 14:32], sent his angel to show his servants the things that must happen ·soon [quickly].
7 “·Listen [L Look; T Behold]! I am coming ·soon [quickly]! ·Blessed [Happy] is the one who obeys the words of prophecy in this ·book [scroll].”
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I heard and saw them, I ·bowed [fell] down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed these things to me. 9 But the angel said to me, “·Do not worship me [Don’t do that!; L See, not]! I am a ·servant like you [fellow servant with you], your brothers the prophets, and all those who ·obey [keep] the words in this ·book [scroll]. Worship God!”
10 Then the angel told me, “Do not ·keep secret [L seal; contrast 10:4] the words of prophecy in this ·book [scroll], because the time is near for all this to happen. 11 Let whoever is doing ·evil [wrong; harm] continue to do evil [wrong; harm; Dan. 12:10]. Let whoever is ·unclean [vile; impure; filthy] continue to be ·unclean [vile; impure; filthy]. Let whoever is ·doing right [righteous; just] continue to do ·right [righteousness; justice]. Let whoever is holy continue to be holy.”
12 “·Listen [L Look; Behold]! I am coming ·soon [quickly]! ·I will bring my reward with me [L and my reward is with me; Is. 40:10], and I will repay ·each one of you [L each person] for what you have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [1:8; 21:6].
14 “·Blessed [Happy] are those who wash their robes [C an image of spiritual cleansing] so that they will receive the ·right [power; authority] to eat the fruit from the tree of life and may ·go through [enter] the gates into the city. 15 Outside the city are the ·evil people [L dogs], those who do ·evil magic [sorcery], who ·sin sexually [fornicate], who murder, who worship idols, and who love lies and tell lies.
16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to ·tell you [testify/witness to] these things for the churches. I am the ·descendant from the family of David [root and descendant/offspring of David; C a messianic title applied to Jesus; 5:4; Is. 11:10], and I am the bright morning star [2:28; Num. 24:17; C a messianic title].”
17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” Let the one who hears this say, “Come!” Let whoever is thirsty come; whoever wishes may ·have [take; receive] the water of life ·as a free gift [freely].
18 I ·warn [testify to] everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this ·book [scroll]: If anyone adds anything to these words, God will add to that person the ·disasters [plagues] written about in this ·book [scroll]. 19 And if anyone takes away from the words of this ·book [scroll] of prophecy, God will take away that one’s ·share [part] of the tree of life and of the holy city, which are written about in this ·book [scroll; Deut. 4:2; 12:32].
20 ·Jesus, the One who says these things are true, [L The One who witnesses to these things] says, “Yes, I am coming ·soon [quickly].”
·Amen [C Hebrew for “so be it”]. Come, Lord Jesus!

22 Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit,[a] with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.
3 No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. 4 And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. 5 And there will be no night there—no need for lamps or sun—for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever.
6 Then the angel said to me, “Everything you have heard and seen is trustworthy and true. The Lord God, who inspires his prophets,[b] has sent his angel to tell his servants what will happen soon.[c]”
Jesus Is Coming
7 “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book.[d]”
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw all these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me. 9 But he said, “No, don’t worship me. I am a servant of God, just like you and your brothers the prophets, as well as all who obey what is written in this book. Worship only God!”
10 Then he instructed me, “Do not seal up the prophetic words in this book, for the time is near. 11 Let the one who is doing harm continue to do harm; let the one who is vile continue to be vile; let the one who is righteous continue to live righteously; let the one who is holy continue to be holy.”
12 “Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
14 Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life. 15 Outside the city are the dogs—the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie.
16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne.[e] I am the bright morning star.”
17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life. 18 And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. 19 And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person’s share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.
20 He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!”
Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!
21 May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people.[f]

Epilogue: Invitation and Warning
12 “Look, I am coming soon!(AC) My reward is with me,(AD) and I will give to each person according to what they have done.(AE) 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega,(AF) the First and the Last,(AG) the Beginning and the End.(AH)
14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes,(AI) that they may have the right to the tree of life(AJ) and may go through the gates(AK) into the city.(AL) 15 Outside(AM) are the dogs,(AN) those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
16 “I, Jesus,(AO) have sent my angel(AP) to give you[a] this testimony for the churches.(AQ) I am the Root(AR) and the Offspring of David,(AS) and the bright Morning Star.”(AT)
