²⁰ and from Bamoth to the valley in Moab where the top of Pisgah^(A) overlooks the wasteland.

²⁸ And Balak took Balaam to the top of Peor,^(A) overlooking the wasteland.

The Death of Moses

34 Then Moses climbed Mount Nebo^(A) from the plains of Moab to the top of Pisgah,^(B) across from Jericho.^(C) There the Lord showed^(D) him the whole land—from Gilead to Dan,^(E)

⁴⁹ and included all the Arabah east of the Jordan, as far as the Dead Sea,^[a] below the slopes of Pisgah.

²⁷ Go up to the top of Pisgah^(A) and look west and north and south and east.^(B) Look at the land with your own eyes, since you are not going to cross^(C) this Jordan.^(D)

⁵ East of the Jordan in the territory of Moab,^(A) Moses began to expound this law, saying:

⁵⁰ On the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho^(C) the Lord said to Moses,

⁶³ These are the ones counted^(A) by Moses and Eleazar the priest when they counted the Israelites on the plains of Moab^(B) by the Jordan across from Jericho.^(C)

¹⁴ So he took him to the field of Zophim on the top of Pisgah,^(A) and there he built seven altars and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.^(B)
