(A)Do not acquire gold, or silver, or copper for your money belts, 10 or a [a]bag for your journey, or even two [b]tunics, or sandals, or a staff; for (B)the worker is worthy of his [c]support. 11 And whatever city or village you enter, inquire who is worthy in it, and stay there until you leave. 12 Now as you enter the [d]house, (C)give it your [e]greeting. 13 And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14 And whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you leave that house or that city, (D)shake the dust off your feet. 15 Truly I say to you, (E)it will be more tolerable for the land of (F)Sodom and Gomorrah in (G)the day of judgment than for that city.

(A)Carry no money belt, no bag, no sandals, and greet no one on the way. Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’ And if a [a]man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him, but if not, it will return to you. Stay in [b]that house, eating and drinking [c]what they give you; for (B)the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house. And whatever city you enter and they receive you, (C)eat what is set before you; and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘(D)The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10 But in whatever city you enter and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say, 11 (E)Even the dust of your city which clings to our feet we wipe off against you; yet know this, that (F)the kingdom of God is at hand.’ 12 I say to you, (G)it will be more tolerable in that day for (H)Sodom than for that city.
