^22 (A)Many will say to Me on ^(B)that day, ‘Lord, Lord, in Your name did we not prophesy, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many ^[a]miracles?’

²² Nevertheless I say to you, ^(A)it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in ^(B)the day of judgment than for you.

²⁴ Nevertheless I say to you that ^(A)it will be more tolerable for the land of ^(B)Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you.”

³⁶ But I tell you that every ^[a]careless word that people ^[b]speak, they shall give an accounting for it in ^(A)the day of judgment.

³¹ because He has fixed ^(A)a day in which ^(B)He will judge ^[a](C)the world in righteousness ^[b]through a Man whom He ^(D)determined, having furnished proof to all ^[c]by ^(E)raising Him from the dead.”

⁴ But you, brothers, are not in ^(A)darkness, that the day would overtake you ^[a](B)like a thief,

²⁵ not forsaking our own ^(A)assembling together, as is the habit of some, but ^(B)encouraging one another, and all the more as you see ^(C)the day drawing near.

^9 (A)then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from ^[a]trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the ^(B)day of judgment,

⁷ But by His word ^(A)the present heavens and earth are being reserved for ^(B)fire, being kept for ^(C)the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
