⁵⁰ For ^(A)whoever ^(B)does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

²¹ But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are those ^(A)who hear the word of God and do it.”

^35 (A)For whoever ^(B)does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.”

¹⁴ You are ^(A)my friends ^(B)if you do what I command you.

¹¹ For ^(A)he who sanctifies and ^(B)those who are sanctified ^(C)all have one source.^[a] That is why he is not ashamed to call them ^(D)brothers,^{[b] 12} saying,

¹⁴ Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise ^(J)partook of the same things, that ^(K)through death he might ^(L)destroy ^(M)the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and deliver all those who ^(N)through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. ¹⁶ For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he ^(O)helps the offspring of Abraham. ¹⁷ Therefore he had ^(P)to be made like his brothers in every respect, ^(Q)so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest ^(R)in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

²⁹ Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, ^(A)that you believe in him whom ^(B)he has sent.”

True Blessedness

²⁷ As he said these things, ^(A)a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, ^(B)“Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” ²⁸ But he said, ^(C)“Blessed rather are those ^(D)who hear the word of God and ^(E)keep it!”

¹⁰ Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; ^(A)go and tell ^(B)my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”

²³ And this is his commandment, ^(A)that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and ^(B)love one another, ^(C)just as he has commanded us. ^24 (D)Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God,^[a] and God^[b] in him. And ^(E)by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.
