⁶ And he said to them, ^(A)“Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.

^17 (A)When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But ^(B)he laid his right hand on me, ^(C)saying, “Fear not, ^(D)I am the first and the last, ¹⁸ and the living one. ^(E)I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and ^(F)I have the keys of Death and Hades.

³ For ^(A)I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died ^(B)for our sins ^(C)in accordance with the Scriptures, ⁴ that he was buried, that he was raised ^(D)on the third day ^(E)in accordance with the Scriptures, ⁵ and that ^(F)he appeared to Cephas, then ^(G)to the twelve. ⁶ Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. ⁷ Then he appeared to ^(H)James, then ^(I)to all the apostles.

¹⁰ let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that ^(A)by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, ^(B)whom God raised from the dead—by him this man is standing before you well.

²² “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, ^(A)a man attested to you by God ^(B)with ^(C)mighty works and wonders and signs that ^(D)God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know— ²³ this Jesus,^{[a] (E)}delivered up according to ^(F)the definite plan and ^(G)foreknowledge of God, ^(H)you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men.

¹⁹ Pilate ^(A)also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.” ²⁰ Many of the Jews read this inscription, for ^(B)the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Aramaic, in Latin, and in Greek.

¹⁹ Jesus answered them, ^(A)“Destroy this temple, and in three days ^(B)I will raise it up.” ²⁰ The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple,^[a] and will you raise it up in three days?” ²¹ But he was speaking about ^(C)the temple of his body. ²² When therefore he was raised from the dead, ^(D)his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed ^(E)the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.

⁴⁶ and said to them, “Thus ^(A)it is written, ^(B)that the Christ should suffer and on the third day ^(C)rise from the dead,
