11 They came to Bethphage and Bethany, near Jerusalem by the hill called Olives. Then he sent two of his disciples ahead.
2 He said, `Go into the village in front of you. As soon as you go in, you will find an animal tied. No one has ever sat on it. Untie it and bring it to me.
3 If anyone asks you, "Why are you doing this?" tell him, "The Lord needs it. He will send it back soon." '
4 The disciples went. They found the animal tied outside a door in the street. They untied it.
5 People standing there said, `What are you doing, untying the animal?'
6 The disciples said what Jesus had told them to say. So they let them go.
7 They brought it to Jesus and laid their coats on it. He got on it.
8 Many people spread their coats on the road. Others cut leaves and branches from the fields and put them on the road.
9 People in front of him and people behind him shouted, `Praise God! God bless him who comes in the name of the Lord!
10 God bless the kingdom of our father David which is coming. Praise him in heaven!'
11 And so Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. He looked at everything. Then he went out with the twelve disciples to Bethany. It was late already.
12 In the morning when they were on the way out of Bethany, Jesus was hungry.
13 He saw a fig tree a little way off with leaves on it. So he went to see if it had figs. He came to the tree. There was no fruit on it, only leaves. It was not the time for figs.
14 Jesus said to the tree, `No one will ever eat a fig from you again!' His disciples heard what he said.
15 They reached Jerusalem. Jesus went into the temple. He began to drive out the people who were buying and selling in the temple. He threw down the tables of the money changers. He pushed down the seats of those who sold doves.
16 He would not let anyone carry anything through the temple.
17 He taught the people, saying, `The holy writings say, "My house shall be called a house for all tribes and nations, where people talk with God." But you have made it a place for people who steal!'
18 The chief priests and scribes heard what he said. They wanted to find some way to kill him. They feared Jesus because all the people were surprised at his teaching.
19 In the evening Jesus and his disciples went out of the city.
20 The next morning they passed the fig tree again. They saw that it had died from the roots.
21 Peter remembered about it. He said, `Look Master, you cursed the fig tree and it has died.'
22 Jesus said, `Believe in God.
23 I tell you the truth. Anyone may say to this hill, "Go and jump into the sea." He must not doubt in his heart, but he must believe that he will have the things he asks for and he will have them.
24 So I tell you, when you ask God for anything believe that you will get it and you will have it.
25 When you stand and talk with God, forgive others for the wrong things they have done to you. Then your Father in heaven will also forgive you for the wrong things you have done.
26 But if you do not forgive others, your Father in heaven will not forgive you for the wrong things you have done.'
27 They came to Jerusalem again. Jesus walked in the temple. The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders came to him.
28 They said, `What right have you to do these things? Who gave you the right to do them?'
29 Jesus said, `I will ask you a question. If you answer me, I will answer you and tell you what right I have to do these things.
30 Who gave John the right to baptise people? Did God or did men? Answer me!'
31 So they talked it over together. They said, `If we say, "God gave John the right," he will say, "Then why did you not believe him?"
32 But what if we say, "Men gave him the right to do it"?' They feared the people because they all believed that John was a prophet of God.
33 So they answered Jesus, `We do not know.' Then Jesus said, `Neither will I tell you what right I have to do these things.'

11 Ac wedi eu dyfod yn agos i Jerwsalem, i Bethffage a Bethania, hyd fynydd yr Olewydd, efe a anfonodd ddau o’i ddisgyblion, 2 Ac a ddywedodd wrthynt, Ewch ymaith i’r pentref sydd gyferbyn â chwi: ac yn y man wedi y deloch i mewn iddo, chwi a gewch ebol wedi ei rwymo, ar yr hwn nid eisteddodd neb; gollyngwch ef yn rhydd, a dygwch ymaith. 3 Ac os dywed neb wrthych, Paham y gwnewch hyn? dywedwch, Am fod yn rhaid i’r Arglwydd wrtho; ac yn ebrwydd efe a’i denfyn yma. 4 A hwy a aethant ymaith, ac a gawsant yr ebol yn rhwym wrth y drws oddi allan, mewn croesffordd; ac a’i gollyngasant ef yn rhydd. 5 A rhai o’r rhai oedd yn sefyll yno a ddywedasant wrthynt, Beth a wnewch chwi, yn gollwng yr ebol yn rhydd? 6 A hwy a ddywedasant wrthynt fel y gorchmynasai yr Iesu: a hwy a adawsant iddynt fyned ymaith. 7 A hwy a ddygasant yr ebol at yr Iesu, ac a fwriasant eu dillad arno; ac efe a eisteddodd arno. 8 A llawer a daenasant eu dillad ar hyd y ffordd; ac eraill a dorasant gangau o’r gwŷdd, ac a’u taenasant ar y ffordd. 9 A’r rhai oedd yn myned o’r blaen, a’r rhai oedd yn dyfod ar ôl, a lefasant, gan ddywedyd, Hosanna; Bendigedig fyddo’r hwn sydd yn dyfod yn enw’r Arglwydd: 10 Bendigedig yw’r deyrnas sydd yn dyfod yn enw Arglwydd ein tad Dafydd: Hosanna yn y goruchaf. 11 A’r Iesu a aeth i mewn i Jerwsalem, ac i’r deml: ac wedi iddo edrych ar bob peth o’i amgylch, a hi weithian yn hwyr, efe a aeth allan i Fethania gyda’r deuddeg.
12 A thrannoeth, wedi iddynt ddyfod allan o Fethania, yr oedd arno chwant bwyd. 13 Ac wedi iddo ganfod o hirbell ffigysbren ag arno ddail, efe a aeth i edrych a gaffai ddim arno. A phan ddaeth ato, ni chafodd efe ddim ond y dail: canys nid oedd amser ffigys. 14 A’r Iesu a atebodd ac a ddywedodd wrtho, Na fwytaed neb ffrwyth ohonot byth mwy. A’i ddisgyblion ef a glywsant.
15 A hwy a ddaethant i Jerwsalem. A’r Iesu a aeth i’r deml, ac a ddechreuodd fwrw allan y rhai a werthent ac a brynent yn y deml; ac a ymchwelodd drestlau’r arianwyr, a chadeiriau’r gwerthwyr colomennod: 16 Ac ni adawai efe i neb ddwyn llestr trwy’r deml. 17 Ac efe a’u dysgodd, gan ddywedyd wrthynt, Onid yw’n ysgrifenedig, Y gelwir fy nhŷ i yn dŷ gweddi i’r holl genhedloedd? ond chwi a’i gwnaethoch yn ogof lladron. 18 A’r ysgrifenyddion a’r archoffeiriaid a glywsant hyn, ac a geisiasant pa fodd y difethent ef: canys yr oeddynt yn ei ofni ef, am fod yr holl bobl yn synnu oblegid ei athrawiaeth ef. 19 A phan aeth hi yn hwyr, efe a aeth allan o’r ddinas.
20 A’r bore, wrth fyned heibio, hwy a welsant y ffigysbren wedi crino o’r gwraidd. 21 A Phedr wedi atgofio, a ddywedodd wrtho, Athro, wele y ffigysbren a felltithiaist, wedi crino. 22 A’r Iesu a atebodd ac a ddywedodd wrthynt, Bydded gennych ffydd yn Nuw: 23 Canys yn wir yr wyf yn dywedyd i chwi, Pwy bynnag a ddywedo wrth y mynydd hwn, Tynner di ymaith, a bwrier di i’r môr; ac nid amheuo yn ei galon, ond credu y daw i ben y pethau a ddywedo efe; beth bynnag a ddywedo, a fydd iddo. 24 Am hynny meddaf i chwi, Beth bynnag oll a geisioch wrth weddïo credwch y derbyniwch, ac fe fydd i chwi. 25 A phan safoch i weddïo, maddeuwch, o bydd gennych ddim yn erbyn neb; fel y maddeuo eich Tad yr hwn sydd yn y nefoedd i chwithau eich camweddau: 26 Ond os chwi ni faddeuwch, eich Tad yr hwn sydd yn y nefoedd ni faddau chwaith eich camweddau chwithau.
27 A hwy a ddaethant drachefn i Jerwsalem: ac fel yr oedd efe yn rhodio yn y deml, yr archoffeiriaid, a’r ysgrifenyddion, a’r henuriaid, a ddaethant ato, 28 Ac a ddywedasant wrtho, Trwy ba awdurdod yr wyt ti yn gwneuthur y pethau hyn? a phwy a roddes i ti yr awdurdod hon i wneuthur y pethau hyn? 29 A’r Iesu a atebodd ac a ddywedodd wrthynt, A minnau a ofynnaf i chwithau un gair; ac atebwch fi, a mi a ddywedaf i chwi trwy ba awdurdod yr wyf yn gwneuthur y pethau hyn. 30 Bedydd Ioan, ai o’r nef yr oedd, ai o ddynion? atebwch fi. 31 Ac ymresymu a wnaethant wrthynt eu hunain, gan ddywedyd, Os dywedwn, O’r nef; efe a ddywed, Paham gan hynny na chredech iddo? 32 Eithr os dywedwn, O ddynion; yr oedd arnynt ofn y bobl: canys pawb oll a gyfrifent Ioan mai proffwyd yn ddiau ydoedd. 33 A hwy a atebasant ac a ddywedasant wrth yr Iesu, Ni wyddom ni. A’r Iesu a atebodd ac a ddywedodd wrthynt hwythau, Ac ni ddywedaf finnau i chwithau trwy ba awdurdod yr wyf yn gwneuthur y pethau hyn.
