Jesús sana a un enfermo en sábado(A)
3 Jesús entró otra vez en la sinagoga; y había en ella un hombre que tenía una mano tullida. 2 Y espiaban a Jesús para ver si lo sanaría en sábado, y así tener de qué acusarlo. 3 Jesús le dijo entonces al hombre que tenía la mano tullida:
—Levántate y ponte ahí en medio.
4 Luego preguntó a los otros:
—¿Qué está permitido hacer en sábado: el bien o el mal? ¿Salvar una vida o destruirla?
Pero ellos se quedaron callados. 5 Jesús miró entonces con enojo a los que le rodeaban, y entristecido por la dureza de su corazón le dijo a aquel hombre:
—Extiende la mano.
El hombre la extendió, y su mano quedó sana. 6 Pero en cuanto los fariseos salieron, comenzaron a hacer planes con los del partido de Herodes para matar a Jesús.
Mucha gente a la orilla del lago
7 Jesús, seguido por mucha gente de Galilea, se fue con sus discípulos a la orilla del lago. 8 Cuando supieron las grandes cosas que hacía, también acudieron a verlo muchos de Judea, de Jerusalén, de Idumea, del oriente del Jordán y de la región de Tiro y Sidón. 9 Por esto, Jesús encargó a sus discípulos que le tuvieran lista una barca, para evitar que la multitud lo apretujara. 10 Porque había sanado a tantos, que todos los enfermos se echaban sobre él para tocarlo.
11 Y cuando los espíritus impuros lo veían, se ponían de rodillas delante de él y gritaban:
—¡Tú eres el Hijo de Dios!
12 Pero Jesús les ordenaba severamente que no hablaran de él en público.
Jesús escoge a los doce apóstoles(B)
13 Después Jesús subió a un cerro, y llamó a los que le pareció bien. Una vez reunidos, 14 eligió de entre ellos a doce, para que lo acompañaran y para mandarlos a anunciar el mensaje. A éstos les dio el nombre de apóstoles, 15 y les dio autoridad para expulsar a los demonios. 16 Éstos son los doce que escogió: Simón, a quien puso el nombre de Pedro; 17 Santiago y su hermano Juan, hijos de Zebedeo, a quienes llamó Boanerges (es decir, «Hijos del Trueno»); 18 Andrés, Felipe, Bartolomé, Mateo, Tomás y Santiago, hijo de Alfeo; Tadeo, Simón el cananeo, 19 y Judas Iscariote, que después traicionó a Jesús.
Acusación contra Jesús(C)
20 Después entró Jesús en una casa, y otra vez se juntó tanta gente, que ni siquiera podían comer él y sus discípulos. 21 Cuando lo supieron los parientes de Jesús, fueron a llevárselo, pues decían que se había vuelto loco.
22 También los maestros de la ley que habían llegado de Jerusalén decían: «Beelzebú, el propio jefe de los demonios, es quien le ha dado a este hombre el poder de expulsarlos.»
23 Jesús los llamó, y les puso un ejemplo, diciendo: «¿Cómo puede Satanás expulsar al propio Satanás? 24 Un país dividido en bandos enemigos, no puede mantenerse; 25 y una familia dividida, no puede mantenerse. 26 Así también, si Satanás se divide y se levanta contra sí mismo, no podrá mantenerse; habrá llegado su fin.
27 »Nadie puede entrar en la casa de un hombre fuerte y robarle sus cosas, si no lo ata primero; solamente así podrá robárselas.
28 »Les aseguro que Dios dará su perdón a los hombres por todos los pecados y todo lo malo que digan: 29 pero el que ofenda con sus palabras al Espíritu Santo, nunca tendrá perdón, sino que será culpable para siempre.»
30 Esto lo dijo Jesús porque ellos afirmaban que tenía un espíritu impuro.
La madre y los hermanos de Jesús(D)
31 Entre tanto llegaron la madre y los hermanos de Jesús, pero se quedaron afuera y mandaron llamarlo. 32 La gente que estaba sentada alrededor de Jesús le dijo:
—Tu madre, tus hermanos y tus hermanas están afuera, y te buscan.
33 Él les contestó:
—¿Quiénes son mi madre y mis hermanos?
34 Luego, mirando a los que estaban sentados a su alrededor, añadió:
—Éstos son mi madre y mis hermanos. 35 Pues cualquiera que hace la voluntad de Dios, ése es mi hermano, mi hermana y mi madre.

El hombre de la mano seca(A)
3 Otra vez entró Jesús en la sinagoga. Había allí un hombre que tenía seca una mano. 2 Y lo acechaban para ver si lo sanaría en sábado, a fin de poder acusarlo. 3 Entonces dijo al hombre que tenía la mano seca:
—Levántate y ponte en medio.
4 Y les preguntó:
—¿Es lícito en los sábados hacer bien, o hacer mal; salvar la vida, o quitarla?
Pero ellos callaban. 5 Entonces, mirándolos con enojo, entristecido por la dureza de sus corazones, dijo al hombre:
—Extiende tu mano.
Él la extendió, y la mano le fue restaurada sana.
6 Salieron entonces los fariseos y se confabularon con los herodianos para destruirlo.
La multitud a la orilla del mar
7 Pero Jesús se retiró al mar con sus discípulos, y lo siguió gran multitud de Galilea. También de Judea, 8 de Jerusalén, de Idumea, del otro lado del Jordán y de los alrededores de Tiro y de Sidón, oyendo cuán grandes cosas hacía, grandes multitudes vinieron a él. 9 Entonces dijo a sus discípulos que le tuvieran siempre lista la barca, para evitar que la multitud lo oprimiera, 10 pues, como había sanado a muchos, todos los que tenían plagas se echaban sobre él para tocarlo. 11 Y los espíritus impuros, al verlo, se postraban delante de él y gritaban:
—¡Tú eres el Hijo de Dios!
12 Pero él los reprendía para que no lo descubrieran.
Elección de los doce apóstoles(B)
13 Después subió al monte y llamó a sí a los que él quiso, y vinieron a él. 14 Designó entonces a doce para que estuvieran con él, para enviarlos a predicar 15 y que tuvieran autoridad para sanar enfermedades y para echar fuera demonios: 16 a Simón, a quien puso por sobrenombre Pedro, 17 a Jacobo, hijo de Zebedeo, y a Juan, hermano de Jacobo, a quienes apellidó Boanerges, es decir, «Hijos del trueno»; 18 a Andrés, Felipe, Bartolomé, Mateo, Tomás, Jacobo hijo de Alfeo, Tadeo, Simón, el cananita, 19 y Judas Iscariote, el que lo entregó.
La blasfemia contra el Espíritu Santo(C)
Volvieron a casa, 20 y se juntó de nuevo tanta gente que ni siquiera podían comer pan. 21 Cuando lo oyeron los suyos, vinieron para prenderlo, porque decían: «Está fuera de sí.»
22 Pero los escribas que habían venido de Jerusalén decían que tenía a Beelzebú, y que por el príncipe de los demonios echaba fuera los demonios.
23 Y habiéndolos llamado, les hablaba en parábolas:
—¿Cómo puede Satanás echar fuera a Satanás? 24 Si un reino está dividido contra sí mismo, tal reino no puede permanecer. 25 Y si una casa está dividida contra sí misma, tal casa no puede permanecer. 26 Y si Satanás se levanta contra sí mismo y se divide, no puede permanecer, sino que ha llegado su fin.
27 »Nadie puede entrar en la casa de un hombre fuerte y saquear sus bienes, si antes no lo ata; solamente así podrá saquear su casa.
28 »De cierto os digo que todos los pecados y las blasfemias, cualesquiera que sean, les serán perdonados a los hijos de los hombres; 29 pero el que blasfeme contra el Espíritu Santo, no tiene jamás perdón, sino que es reo de juicio eterno.
30 Es que ellos habían dicho: «Tiene espíritu impuro.»

31 Entre tanto, llegaron sus hermanos y su madre y, quedándose afuera, enviaron a llamarlo. 32 Entonces la gente que estaba sentada alrededor de él le dijo:
—Tu madre y tus hermanos están afuera y te buscan. 33 Él les respondió diciendo:
—¿Quiénes son mi madre y mis hermanos?
34 Y mirando a los que estaban sentados alrededor de él, dijo:
—Aquí están mi madre y mis hermanos, 35 porque todo aquel que hace la voluntad de Dios, ése es mi hermano, mi hermana y mi madre.

Ang Lalaking Paralisado ang Isang Kamay(A)
3 Minsang pumasok si Jesus sa sinagoga, naratnan niya roon ang isang lalaking paralisado[a] ang isang kamay. 2 Ilan sa mga naroon ang naghahanap ng maipaparatang laban kay Jesus.[b] Nagbantay silang mabuti at tiningnan kung kanyang pagagalingin ang lalaki[c] sa araw ng Sabbath. 3 Tinawag ni Jesus ang lalaking paralisado ang kamay, “Halika rito sa gitna.” 4 Tinanong ni Jesus ang mga naroroon, “Alin ba ang ipinahihintulot kung araw ng Sabbath: ang gumawa ng mabuti, o ang gumawa ng masama; ang magligtas ng buhay, o ang pumatay?” Hindi makasagot ang mga naroon. 5 Galit na tumingin sa kanila si Jesus at nalulungkot dahil sa katigasan ng kanilang puso. Sinabi niya sa lalaki, “Iunat mo ang iyong kamay.” Iniunat naman ng lalaki ang kanyang kamay, at ito'y gumaling. 6 Lumabas ang mga Fariseo at agad nakipagsabwatan sa mga tagasunod ni Herodes kung paano papatayin si Jesus.
Ang Napakaraming Tao sa Tabi ng Lawa
7 Umalis si Jesus at ang kanyang mga alagad at nagtungo sa lawa. Sumunod sa kanila ang napakaraming tao mula sa Galilea. 8 Nang mabalitaan ang lahat ng ginagawa niya, nagdatingan ang napakaraming tao mula sa Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, sa kabilang ibayo ng Jordan, at sa palibot ng Tiro at Sidon. 9 Nagpahanda (B) si Jesus ng isang bangkang magagamit upang hindi siya maipit ng mga taong dumaragsa. 10 Dahil marami na siyang pinagaling, dinudumog siya ng lahat ng maysakit para lang mahawakan siya. 11 At tuwing makikita siya ng maruruming espiritu, nagpapatirapa ang mga ito sa kanyang harapan at sumisigaw, “Ikaw ang Anak ng Diyos!” 12 Ngunit mahigpit silang pinagbawalan ni Jesus na sabihin kung sino siya.
Ang Pagpili ni Jesus sa Labindalawa(C)
13 Umakyat si Jesus sa bundok, tinawag niya ang kanyang mga pinili, at lumapit ang mga ito sa kanya. 14 Humirang siya ng labindalawa [na tinawag din niyang mga apostol][d] upang sila'y makasama niya at upang sila'y suguin niyang mangaral, 15 at magkaroon ng kapangyarihang magpalayas ng mga demonyo. 16 Ito ang labindalawang hinirang niya: si Simon na pinangalanan niyang Pedro; 17 si Santiago at si Juan, mga anak ni Zebedeo na binansagan niyang Boanerges, ibig sabihi'y mga Anak ng Kulog; 18 sina Andres, Felipe, Bartolome, Mateo, Tomas, Santiago na anak ni Alfeo, si Tadeo, si Simon na Cananeo; 19 at si Judas Iscariote na nagkanulo sa kanya.
Si Jesus at si Beelzebul(D)
20 Pagtuloy ni Jesus sa isang bahay, muling nagtipon ang maraming tao kaya't hindi na nila makuhang kumain. 21 Nang mabalitaan iyon ng kanyang sambahayan, pumunta sila upang siya'y sawayin sapagkat sinasabi ng mga tao, “Nawawala na siya sa sarili.” 22 Ang (E) sabi naman ng mga tagapagturo ng Kautusan na galing sa Jerusalem, “Sinasaniban siya ni Beelzebul. Nagpapalayas siya ng demonyo sa pamamagitan ng kapangyarihan ng pinuno ng mga demonyo.” 23 Dahil dito'y pinalapit ni Jesus ang mga tao at sinabi ang ilang talinghaga, “Paanong mapalalayas ni Satanas si Satanas? 24 Kung hinahati ng isang kaharian ang sarili, babagsak ang kahariang iyon. 25 At kung hinahati ng isang sambahayan ang sarili, hindi rin mananatili ang sambahayang iyon. 26 Kung kinakalaban ni Satanas ang kanyang sarili, babagsak siya at darating ang kanyang wakas. 27 Walang maaaring makapasok sa bahay ng malakas na tao upang magnakaw malibang gapusin muna ang taong iyon; kung siya'y nakagapos na, saka pa lamang mananakawan ang kanyang bahay.
28 “Tinitiyak ko sa inyo na patatawarin ang lahat ng mga kasalanan ng mga anak ng tao at anumang paglapastangan na kanilang sabihin. 29 Ngunit (F) sinumang lumapastangan sa Banal na Espiritu ay hindi mapatatawad kailanman; nakagawa siya ng isang kasalanang walang hanggan.” 30 Sinabi ito ni Jesus sapagkat sinabi nila, “Siya'y sinasaniban ng maruming espiritu.”
Ang Ina at ang mga Kapatid ni Jesus(G)
31 Dumating ang ina at ang mga kapatid ni Jesus. Naroon sila sa labas ng bahay, at ipinatawag si Jesus. 32 Maraming tao ang nakaupo sa palibot ni Jesus. Sinabi nila sa kanya, “Nasa labas ang iyong ina at ang iyong mga kapatid na lalaki, hinahanap ka nila.” 33 “Sino ang aking ina at ang aking mga kapatid?” tanong ni Jesus. 34 Tiningnan niya ang mga nakaupo sa palibot niya at sinabi, “Narito ang aking ina at ang aking mga kapatid! 35 Sapagkat sinumang gumaganap ng kalooban ng Diyos, ay siyang aking kapatid na lalaki, kapatid na babae, at ina.”

Jesus Heals on the Sabbath
3 Another time Jesus went into the synagogue,(A) and a man with a shriveled hand was there. 2 Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely(B) to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath.(C) 3 Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Stand up in front of everyone.”
4 Then Jesus asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent.
5 He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored. 6 Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians(D) how they might kill Jesus.(E)
Crowds Follow Jesus(F)
7 Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed.(G) 8 When they heard about all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon.(H) 9 Because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him, to keep the people from crowding him. 10 For he had healed many,(I) so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him.(J) 11 Whenever the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.”(K) 12 But he gave them strict orders not to tell others about him.(L)
Jesus Appoints the Twelve(M)
13 Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him.(N) 14 He appointed twelve[a](O) that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach 15 and to have authority to drive out demons.(P) 16 These are the twelve he appointed: Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter),(Q) 17 James son of Zebedee and his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means “sons of thunder”), 18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot 19 and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
Jesus Accused by His Family and by Teachers of the Law(R)(S)
20 Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered,(T) so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat.(U) 21 When his family[b] heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”(V)
22 And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem(W) said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul!(X) By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.”(Y)
23 So Jesus called them over to him and began to speak to them in parables:(Z) “How can Satan(AA) drive out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come. 27 In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man’s house.(AB) 28 Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, 29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.”(AC)
30 He said this because they were saying, “He has an impure spirit.”
31 Then Jesus’ mother and brothers arrived.(AD) Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him. 32 A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, “Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you.”
33 “Who are my mother and my brothers?” he asked.
34 Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! 35 Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”
