Parábola de los labradores malvados(A)
12 Entonces comenzó Jesús a hablarles en parábolas: «Un hombre plantó un viñedo. Lo cercó, cavó un lagar y construyó una torre de vigilancia. Luego arrendó el viñedo a unos labradores y se fue de viaje. 2 Llegada la cosecha, mandó un siervo a los labradores para recibir de ellos parte de la cosecha. 3 Pero ellos lo agarraron, lo golpearon y lo despidieron con las manos vacías. 4 Entonces les mandó otro siervo; a este le rompieron la cabeza y lo humillaron. 5 Mandó a otro y a este lo mataron. Mandó a otros muchos, a unos los golpearon, a otros los mataron.
6 »Le quedaba todavía uno, su hijo amado. Por último lo mandó a él, pensando: “¡A mi hijo sí lo respetarán!”. 7 Pero aquellos labradores se dijeron unos a otros: “Este es el heredero. Matémoslo y la herencia será nuestra”. 8 Así que le echaron mano y lo mataron, y lo arrojaron fuera del viñedo.
9 »¿Qué hará el dueño? Volverá, acabará con los labradores y dará el viñedo a otros. 10 ¿No han leído ustedes esta Escritura:
»“La piedra que desecharon los constructores
ha llegado a ser la piedra angular.
11 Esto ha sido obra del Señor
y nos deja maravillados”?».[a]
12 Cayendo en cuenta de que la parábola iba dirigida contra ellos, buscaban la manera de arrestarlo. Pero temían a la multitud; así que lo dejaron y se fueron.
El pago de impuestos al césar(B)
13 Luego enviaron a Jesús algunos de los fariseos y los partidarios del rey Herodes para tenderle una trampa con sus mismas palabras. 14 Al llegar dijeron:
—Maestro, sabemos que eres un hombre íntegro. No te dejas influir por nadie porque no te fijas en las apariencias, sino que enseñas el camino de Dios de acuerdo con la verdad. ¿Está permitido pagar impuestos al césar o no? ¿Debemos pagar o no?
15 Pero Jesús, sabiendo que fingían, respondió:
—¿Por qué me tienden trampas? Tráiganme una moneda romana[b] para verla.
16 Le llevaron la moneda y él les preguntó:
—¿De quién es esta imagen y esta inscripción?
—Del césar —contestaron.
17 Y Jesús les dijo:
—Denle, pues, al césar lo que es del césar y a Dios lo que es de Dios.
Y quedaron admirados de él.
El matrimonio en la resurrección(C)
18 Entonces los saduceos, que dicen que no hay resurrección, fueron a verlo y le plantearon un problema:
19 —Maestro, Moisés nos enseñó en sus escritos que si un hombre muere y deja a la viuda sin hijos, el hermano de ese hombre tiene que casarse con la viuda para que su hermano tenga descendencia. 20 Ahora bien, había siete hermanos. El primero se casó y murió sin dejar descendencia. 21 El segundo se casó con la viuda, pero también murió sin dejar descendencia. Lo mismo le pasó al tercero. 22 En fin, ninguno de los siete dejó descendencia. Por último, murió también la mujer. 23 En la resurrección, ¿de cuál será esposa esta mujer, ya que los siete estuvieron casados con ella?
24 —¿Acaso no andan ustedes equivocados? —respondió Jesús—. ¡Es que desconocen las Escrituras y el poder de Dios! 25 Cuando resuciten los muertos, no se casarán ni serán dados en casamiento, sino que serán como los ángeles que están en el cielo. 26 Pero en cuanto a que los muertos resucitan, ¿no han leído en el libro de Moisés, en el pasaje sobre la zarza, cómo Dios le dijo: “Yo soy el Dios de Abraham, de Isaac y de Jacob”?[c] 27 Él no es Dios de muertos, sino de vivos. ¡Ustedes andan muy equivocados!
El mandamiento más importante(D)
28 Uno de los maestros de la Ley se acercó y los oyó discutiendo. Al ver lo bien que Jesús había contestado, preguntó:
—De todos los mandamientos, ¿cuál es el más importante?
29 Jesús contestó:
—El más importante es: “Escucha, Israel: El Señor nuestro Dios es el único Señor.[d] 30 Ama al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, con toda tu alma, con toda tu mente y con todas tus fuerzas”.[e] 31 El segundo es: “Ama a tu prójimo como a ti mismo”.[f] No hay otro mandamiento más importante que estos.
32 —Bien dicho, Maestro —respondió el maestro de la Ley—. Tienes razón al decir que Dios es uno solo y que no hay otro fuera de él. 33 Amarlo con todo el corazón, con todo el entendimiento y con todas las fuerzas, y amar al prójimo como a uno mismo, es más importante que todos los holocaustos y sacrificios.
34 Al ver Jesús que había respondido con inteligencia, le dijo:
—No estás lejos del reino de Dios.
Y desde entonces nadie se atrevió a hacerle más preguntas.
¿De quién es hijo el Cristo?(E)(F)
35 Mientras enseñaba en el Templo, Jesús les propuso:
—¿Cómo es que los maestros de la Ley dicen que el Cristo es descendiente de David? 36 David mismo, hablando por el Espíritu Santo, declaró:
»“Dijo el Señor a mi Señor:
‘Siéntate a mi derecha,
hasta que ponga a tus enemigos
debajo de tus pies’ ”.[g]
37 Si David mismo lo llama “Señor”, ¿cómo puede entonces ser su descendiente?
La muchedumbre lo escuchaba con agrado.
38 Como parte de su enseñanza Jesús decía:
—Tengan cuidado de los maestros de la Ley. Les gusta pasearse con ropas ostentosas y que los saluden en las plazas, 39 ocupar los primeros asientos en las sinagogas y los lugares de honor en los banquetes. 40 Se apoderan de los bienes de las viudas y a la vez hacen largas plegarias para impresionar a los demás. Estos recibirán peor castigo.
La ofrenda de la viuda(G)
41 Jesús se sentó frente al lugar donde se depositaban las ofrendas, y estuvo observando cómo la gente echaba sus monedas en las alcancías del Templo. Muchos ricos echaban grandes cantidades. 42 Pero una viuda pobre llegó y echó dos moneditas de muy poco valor.[h]
43 Jesús llamó a sus discípulos y dijo: «Les aseguro que esta viuda pobre ha echado en el tesoro más que todos los demás. 44 Porque todos ellos dieron de lo que les sobraba; pero ella, de su pobreza, echó todo lo que tenía, todo su sustento».

12 Dayon naghambal si Jesus sa ila paagi sa mga paanggid, “May isa ka tawo nga may duta nga ginpatamnan niya sang ubas. Ginpakudalan niya ini, kag nagpahimo siya sang buho sa dako nga bato para pulugaan sang ubas. Nagpatindog man siya sang isa ka balantayan. Pagkatapos ginpaagsahan niya ang iya talamnan kag naglakat sa malayo nga lugar. 2 Sang tion na sang pagpamupo sang ubas, ginsugo niya ang isa ka suluguon sa mga agsador sa pagkuha sang iya parte. 3 Pero pag-abot didto sang suluguon, gindakop siya sang mga agsador kag ginbunal, kag ginpapauli nga wala gid sing dala. 4 Ginpadala naman sang tag-iya ang isa pa ka suluguon, pero ginpakahuy-an nila kag ginlampusan sa ulo. 5 Nagpadala pa gid siya sang isa pa ka suluguon, kag ila ini ginpatay. Madamo pa gid ang ginpadala sang tag-iya. Ang iban ginbunal nila, kag ang iban ginpatay. 6 Sa katapusan, wala na siya sang suluguon nga ipadala. Gani ginpadala niya ang iya pinalangga nga anak. Kay naghunahuna siya nga tahuron nila ang iya anak. 7 Pero pagkakita sang mga agsador sa iya anak, nagsiling sila, ‘Ari na ang manunubli. Dali, patyon ta siya agod mangin aton ang iya palanublion.’ 8 Gani gindakop nila siya kag ginpatay. Ginhaboy nila ang iya bangkay sa guwa sang talamnan sang ubas.”
9 Dayon nagsiling si Jesus, “Ti ano bala ang himuon sang tag-iya sang talamnan? Sigurado gid nga kadtuan niya ang mga agsador kag pamatyon. Dayon paagsahan niya sa iban ang iya talamnan.” 10 Nagpadayon si Jesus sa pagsiling, “Wala bala ninyo ini mabasahi sa Kasulatan?
‘Ang bato nga ginsikway sang mga panday
amo ang nangin pundasyon nga bato.
11 Ang Ginoo ang naghimo sini
kag makatilingala ini sa aton!’ ”[a]
12 Nahibaluan sang manugdumala nga mga Judio nga sila gid ang ginatumod sang sadto nga paanggid. Gani gusto nila nga dakpon si Jesus, pero nahadlok sila sa mga tawo. Gani ginpabay-an na lang nila siya, kag naglakat sila.
Ang Pamangkot Parte sa Pagbayad sang Buhis(B)
13 Ginsugo nila ang pila ka mga Pariseo kag pila ka mga miyembro sang partido ni Herodes sa pagdakop-dakop kay Jesus paagi sa iya paghambal agod maakusar nila siya. 14 Gani nagkadto sila kay Jesus kag nagpamangkot, “Manunudlo, nahibaluan namon nga matuod ang imo ginasugid. Kay wala ka nagapadala-dala sa mga tawo bisan sin-o pa sila, kundi kon ano ang kamatuoran parte sa kabubut-on sang Dios sa mga tawo amo gid ang imo ginatudlo. Ano bala sa imo, husto bala nga kita nga mga Judio magbayad sang buhis sa Emperador sang Roma? Dapat bala kita magbayad ukon indi?” 15 Pero nahibaluan ni Jesus nga nagapakuno-kuno sila, gani nagsiling siya sa ila, “Ngaa bala ginatilawan ninyo ako nga dakpon paagi sa sini nga pamangkot? Abi dal-i ninyo ako diri sang kuwarta[b] kay tan-awon ko.” 16 Gani gindal-an nila siya. Dayon nagpamangkot siya sa ila, “Kay sin-o bala ini hitsura kag ngalan?” Nagsabat sila, “Iya sang Emperador.” 17 Gani nagsiling si Jesus sa ila, “Ti kundi ihatag ninyo sa Emperador ang iya sang Emperador, kag sa Dios ang iya sang Dios.” Kag natingala gid sila sa iya.
Ang Pamangkot Parte sa Pagkabanhaw(C)
18 Dayon may mga Saduceo nga nagpalapit kay Jesus. Ini nga mga tawo wala nagapati nga may pagkabanhaw. 19 Nagpamangkot sila, “Manunudlo, suno sa ginsulat ni Moises sa aton, kon mapatay ang lalaki nga wala sila bata sang iya asawa, dapat ang iya utod ang magpangasawa sa nabalo agod makapabata siya para sa iya utod nga napatay.[c] 20 Karon, may pito ka mag-ulutod nga lalaki. Ang kamagulangan nagpangasawa, kag napatay nga wala sing bata. 21 Gani ang balo ginpangasawa sang madason nga utod. Ini siya napatay man nga wala sila sing bata. Gani ang balo ginpangasawa naman sang ikatlo kag amo man ang natabo, 22 hasta sa ikapito. Nagkalamatay sila tanan nga wala gid nakapabata sa sadto nga babayi. Sang ulihi ang babayi napatay man. 23 Karon, kon mag-abot na ang pagkabanhaw, kay sin-o gid siya nga asawa, kay sila nga pito nagpangasawa sa iya?”
24 Nagsiling si Jesus sa ila, “Sala gid kamo, tungod nga wala kamo nakaintiendi sang Kasulatan kag sang gahom sang Dios. 25 Kay kon mabanhaw na ang mga patay, indi na sila mag-asawahay, tungod nga pareho na sila sang mga anghel sa langit. 26 Kon parte sa mga patay nga mabanhaw, wala bala kamo nakabasa sang ginsulat ni Moises parte sa nagadabadaba nga kahoy-kahoy, sa diin nagsiling ang Dios kay Moises, ‘Ako ang Dios ni Abraham, Isaac, kag Jacob’? [d] 27 Ti buhi sila, kay ang Dios indi Dios sang mga patay kundi Dios sang mga buhi. Gani sala gid kamo.”
Ang Labing Importante nga Sugo(D)
28 May isa ka manunudlo sang Kasuguan didto nga nakabati sang ila diskusyon. Nabatian niya nga maayo ang sabat ni Jesus. Gani nagpalapit siya kag nagpamangkot man, “Ano gid bala ang labing importante nga sugo?” 29 Nagsabat si Jesus, “Ang labing importante nga sugo amo ini: ‘Pamati kamo, katawhan sang Israel! Ang Ginoo nga aton Dios amo lang ang Ginoo. 30 Gani higugmaon mo ang Ginoo nga imo Dios sa bug-os mo nga tagipusuon, sa bug-os mo nga kalag, sa bug-os mo nga hunahuna kag sa bug-os mo nga kusog.’[e] 31 Ang madason nga labing importante nga sugo amo ini: ‘Higugmaon mo ang imo isigkatawo pareho sang paghigugma mo sa imo kaugalingon.’[f] Wala na sing sugo nga labaw pa sa sining duha.” 32 Nagsiling ang manunudlo sang Kasuguan sa iya, “Husto ka manunudlo! Matuod ang imo ginasiling nga may isa lang ka Dios kag wala na sing iban pa. 33 Kag ang paghigugma sa iya sa bug-os nga tagipusuon, sa bug-os nga hunahuna, kag sa bug-os nga kusog, kag ang paghigugma sa aton isigkatawo pareho sang paghigugma naton sa aton kaugalingon mas importante sang sa tanan nga halad nga ginasunog[g] kag iban pa nga mga halad.” 34 Pagkabati ni Jesus nga husto gid ang iya mga sabat, nagsiling siya sa iya, “Malapit ka na nga masakop sa paghari sang Dios.” Halin sadto wala na gid sing may nangahas nga magpamangkot kay Jesus.
Ang Pamangkot Parte sa Cristo(E)
35 Sang nagapanudlo si Jesus sa templo nagsiling siya, “Ngaa nagasiling ang mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan nga ang Cristo kaliwat lang ni David? 36 Si David mismo nga gintuytuyan sang Espiritu Santo nagsiling,
‘Nagsiling ang Ginoo sa akon Ginoo,
Pungko diri sa akon tuo
hasta mapaidalom ko sa imo ang imo mga kaaway.’[h]
37 Kon gintawag siya ni David nga iya Ginoo, paano bala nga siya kaliwat lang ni David?”
Nagpaandam si Jesus Batok sa mga Manunudlo sang Kasuguan(F)
Naluyag magpamati kay Jesus ang madamo gid nga mga tawo. 38 Sa iya mga pagpanudlo nagsiling siya, “Mag-andam kamo sa mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan nga gusto maglagaw-lagaw nga nagasuksok sang espesyal nga bayo.[i] Sa mga lugar nga madamo sang tawo,[j] gusto nila nga tahuron sila. 39 Sa mga simbahan ukon sa mga punsyon, ginapili gid nila ang mga pulungkuan nga para sa mga dungganon. 40 Ginaubos nila kuha ang mga pagkabutang sang mga balo nga babayi, kag ginatabon-tabunan lang nila ang ila ginahimo paagi sa malawig nga mga pagpangamuyo. Ini sila magabaton sang mas dako nga silot.”
Ang Halad sang Balo nga Babayi(G)
41 Nagpungko si Jesus sa tupad sang ginahulugan sang kuwarta didto sa templo kag ginpanilagan niya ang mga tawo nga nagahulog sang ila mga kuwarta. Madamo nga mga manggaranon ang nagahulog sang dalagko nga mga kantidad. 42 May nagpalapit nga isa ka imol nga balo nga babayi kag naghulog sang duha lang ka sinsilyo. 43 Gintawag ni Jesus ang iya mga sumulunod kag nagsiling sa ila, “Sa pagkamatuod, mas madamo ang ginhulog sang imol nga balo sang sa tanan nga naghatag. 44 Kay sila madamo ang ila kuwarta kag ang ila ginhatag baliwala lang sa ila; pero ang balo, bisan imol siya, ginhatag niya ang tanan nga iya ginasaligan agod mabuhi.”

The Parable of the Tenants(A)
12 Jesus then began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard.(B) He put a wall around it, dug a pit for the winepress and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place. 2 At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants to collect from them some of the fruit of the vineyard. 3 But they seized him, beat him and sent him away empty-handed. 4 Then he sent another servant to them; they struck this man on the head and treated him shamefully. 5 He sent still another, and that one they killed. He sent many others; some of them they beat, others they killed.
6 “He had one left to send, a son, whom he loved. He sent him last of all,(C) saying, ‘They will respect my son.’
7 “But the tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’ 8 So they took him and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard.
9 “What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others. 10 Haven’t you read this passage of Scripture:
“‘The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;(D)
11 the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes’[a]?”(E)
12 Then the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders looked for a way to arrest him because they knew he had spoken the parable against them. But they were afraid of the crowd;(F) so they left him and went away.(G)
Paying the Imperial Tax to Caesar(H)
13 Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians(I) to Jesus to catch him(J) in his words. 14 They came to him and said, “Teacher, we know that you are a man of integrity. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay the imperial tax[b] to Caesar or not? 15 Should we pay or shouldn’t we?”
But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. “Why are you trying to trap me?” he asked. “Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.” 16 They brought the coin, and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”
“Caesar’s,” they replied.
17 Then Jesus said to them, “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.”(K)
And they were amazed at him.
Marriage at the Resurrection(L)
18 Then the Sadducees,(M) who say there is no resurrection,(N) came to him with a question. 19 “Teacher,” they said, “Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother.(O) 20 Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died without leaving any children. 21 The second one married the widow, but he also died, leaving no child. It was the same with the third. 22 In fact, none of the seven left any children. Last of all, the woman died too. 23 At the resurrection[c] whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?”
24 Jesus replied, “Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures(P) or the power of God? 25 When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.(Q) 26 Now about the dead rising—have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the account of the burning bush, how God said to him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’[d]?(R) 27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!”
The Greatest Commandment(S)
28 One of the teachers of the law(T) came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[e] 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[f](U) 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[g](V) There is no commandment greater than these.”
32 “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him.(W) 33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”(X)
34 When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”(Y) And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.(Z)
Whose Son Is the Messiah?(AA)(AB)
35 While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts,(AC) he asked, “Why do the teachers of the law say that the Messiah is the son of David?(AD) 36 David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit,(AE) declared:
37 David himself calls him ‘Lord.’ How then can he be his son?”
The large crowd(AG) listened to him with delight.
Warning Against the Teachers of the Law
38 As he taught, Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted with respect in the marketplaces, 39 and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.(AH) 40 They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.”
The Widow’s Offering(AI)
41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put(AJ) and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.
43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”(AK)
