Péter halfogása(A)
5 Amikor egyszer a sokaság hozzá tódult, és hallgatta az Isten igéjét, ő a Genezáret-tó partján állt.
2 Meglátott két hajót, amely a part mentén vesztegelt; a halászok éppen kiszálltak belőlük, és hálóikat mosták.
3 Ekkor beszállt az egyik hajóba, amelyik Simoné volt, és megkérte, hogy vigye őt egy kissé beljebb a parttól, azután leült, és a hajóból tanította a sokaságot.
4 Miután abbahagyta a beszédet, ezt mondta Simonnak: "Evezz a mélyre, és vessétek ki hálóitokat fogásra!"
5 Simon így felelt: "Mester, egész éjszaka fáradtunk ugyan, és semmit sem fogtunk, de a te szavadra mégis kivetem a hálókat."
6 S amikor ezt megtették, olyan nagy tömeg halat kerítettek be, hogy szakadoztak a hálóik;
7 ezért intettek társaiknak, akik a másik hajóban voltak, hogy jöjjenek és segítsenek nekik. Azok pedig odamentek, és annyira megtöltötték mind a két hajót, hogy majdnem elsüllyedtek.
8 Simon Péter ezt látva leborult Jézus lába elé, és így szólt: "Menj el tőlem, mert bűnös ember vagyok, Uram!"
9 A halfogás miatt ugyanis nagy félelem fogta el őt és azokat, akik vele voltak és segítettek;
10 de ugyanígy Jakabot és Jánost, a Zebedeus fiait is, akik társai voltak Simonnak. Jézus akkor így szólt Simonhoz: "Ne félj, ezentúl emberhalász leszel!"
11 Erre kivonták a hajókat a partra, és mindent otthagyva követték őt.
Jézus meggyógyít egy leprást(B)
12 Amikor Jézus az egyik városban járt, egy leprával borított ember meglátva őt, arcra borult, és kérte: "Uram, ha akarod, meg tudsz tisztítani engem."
13 Erre Jézus kinyújtotta a kezét, megérintette őt, és így szólt: "Akarom, tisztulj meg!" És azonnal letisztult róla a lepra.
14 Ő pedig megparancsolta neki: "Senkinek ne mondd el ezt, hanem menj el, mutasd meg magadat a papnak, és ajánlj fel áldozatot megtisztulásodért, ahogyan Mózes elrendelte, bizonyságul nekik."
15 De a híre annál jobban terjedt, és nagy sokaság gyűlt össze, hogy hallgassák, és meggyógyítsa őket betegségeikből.
16 Ő azonban visszavonult a pusztába, és imádkozott.
Jézus meggyógyítja a bénát(C)
17 Amikor az egyik napon tanított, és ott ültek a farizeusok és törvénytudók, akik Galilea és Júdea különböző falvaiból, továbbá Jeruzsálemből jöttek, az Úr ereje gyógyításra indította őt.
18 És íme, férfiak ágyon hoztak egy béna embert, és igyekeztek bevinni és letenni eléje.
19 Mivel a sokaság miatt nem találták módját, hogyan vigyék be, felmentek a háztetőre, és a cseréptetőn át eresztették le ágyastól Jézus elé a középre.
20 Ő pedig látva hitüket, így szólt: "Ember, megbocsáttattak a te bűneid."
21 Erre az írástudók és a farizeusok elkezdtek tanakodni: "Kicsoda ez, aki így káromolja az Istent? Ki bocsáthat meg bűnöket az egy Istenen kívül?"
22 Jézus átlátta gondolataikat, és így válaszolt nekik: "Miről tanakodtok szívetekben?
23 Mi könnyebb: ezt mondani: Megbocsáttattak a te bűneid - vagy pedig ezt mondani: Kelj fel és járj?
24 Azért pedig, hogy megtudjátok: van hatalma az Emberfiának bűnöket megbocsátani a földön: Neked mondom, - így szólt a bénához -, kelj fel, vedd az ágyadat, és menj haza!"
25 Ez pedig szemük láttára azonnal felkelt; fogta ágyát, amelyen feküdt, és Istent dicsőítve hazament.
26 Ámulat fogta el mindnyájukat, és dicsőítették az Istent, megteltek félelemmel, és ezt mondták: "Hihetetlen dolgokat láttunk ma!"
Jézus elhívja Lévit(D)
27 Ezután kiment, és meglátott egy Lévi nevű vámszedőt, aki a vámnál ült. Így szólt hozzá: "Kövess engem!"
28 Az otthagyott mindent, felkelt, és követte őt.
29 Lévi nagy vendégséget készített neki a házában, és nagy sokaság volt ott, vámszedők és mások, akik velük együtt telepedtek asztalhoz.
30 A farizeusok és a közülük való írástudók pedig zúgolódtak, és ezt mondták tanítványainak: "Miért esztek és isztok a vámszedőkkel és bűnösökkel együtt?"
31 Jézus így válaszolt nekik: "Nem az egészségeseknek van szükségük orvosra, hanem a betegeknek.
32 Nem azért jöttem, hogy az igazakat hívjam, hanem a bűnösöket megtérésre."
Jézus tanítása a böjtről(E)
33 Ők pedig ezt mondták neki: "János tanítványai gyakran böjtölnek és imádkoznak, ugyanígy a farizeusok tanítványai is; a tieid pedig esznek és isznak."
34 Erre Jézus így válaszolt: "Rávehetnétek-e a násznépet, hogy böjtöljön, amíg velük van a vőlegény?
35 De jönnek majd napok, amikor elvétetik tőlük a vőlegény, akkor azokban a napokban böjtölni fognak."
36 Mondott nekik egy példázatot is: "Senki sem tép ki foltot új ruhából, hogy régi ruhára varrja, mert így az újat is eltépné; és nem is illene a régihez az új ruhából való folt.
37 Senki sem tölt újbort régi tömlőbe, mert az újbor szétrepesztené a tömlőt, és elfolyna, sőt a tömlő is tönkremenne.
38 Hanem az újbort új tömlőbe kell tölteni.
39 Aki pedig óbort ivott, az nem akar újat, mert ezt mondja: Az óbor a jó."

Llamamiento de los primeros discípulos(A)
5 Estaba Jesús a orillas del lago de Genesaret,[a] y la gente lo apretujaba para escuchar el mensaje de Dios. 2 Entonces vio dos barcas que los pescadores habían dejado en la playa mientras lavaban las redes. 3 Subió a una de las barcas, que pertenecía a Simón, y le pidió que la alejara un poco de la orilla. Luego se sentó, y enseñaba a la gente desde la barca.
4 Cuando acabó de hablar, le dijo a Simón:
―Lleva la barca hacia aguas más profundas, y echad allí las redes para pescar.
5 ―Maestro, hemos estado trabajando duro toda la noche y no hemos pescado nada —le contestó Simón—. Pero, como tú me lo mandas, echaré las redes.
6 Así lo hicieron, y recogieron una cantidad tan grande de peces que las redes se les rompían. 7 Entonces llamaron por señas a los compañeros de la otra barca para que los ayudaran. Ellos se acercaron y llenaron tanto las dos barcas que comenzaron a hundirse.
8 Al ver esto, Simón Pedro cayó de rodillas delante de Jesús y le dijo:
―¡Apártate de mí, Señor; soy un pecador!
9 Es que él y todos sus compañeros estaban asombrados ante la pesca que habían hecho, 10 como también lo estaban Jacobo y Juan, hijos de Zebedeo, que eran socios de Simón.
―No temas; desde ahora serás pescador de hombres —le dijo Jesús a Simón.
11 Así que llevaron las barcas a tierra y, dejándolo todo, siguieron a Jesús.
Jesús sana a un leproso(B)
12 En otra ocasión, cuando Jesús estaba en un pueblo, se presentó un hombre cubierto de lepra. Al ver a Jesús, cayó rostro en tierra y le suplicó:
―Señor, si quieres, puedes limpiarme.
13 Jesús extendió la mano y tocó al hombre.
―Sí, quiero —le dijo—. ¡Queda limpio!
Y al instante se le quitó la lepra.
14 ―No se lo digas a nadie —le ordenó Jesús—; solo ve, preséntate al sacerdote y lleva por tu purificación lo que ordenó Moisés, para que les sirva de testimonio.
15 Sin embargo, la fama de Jesús se extendía cada vez más, de modo que acudían a él multitudes para oírlo y para que los sanara de sus enfermedades. 16 Él, por su parte, solía retirarse a lugares solitarios para orar.
Jesús sana a un paralítico(C)
17 Un día, mientras enseñaba, estaban sentados allí algunos fariseos y maestros de la ley que habían venido de todas las aldeas de Galilea y Judea, y también de Jerusalén. Y el poder del Señor estaba con él para sanar a los enfermos. 18 Entonces llegaron unos hombres que llevaban en una camilla a un paralítico. Procuraron entrar para ponerlo delante de Jesús, 19 pero no pudieron a causa de la multitud. Así que subieron a la azotea y, separando las tejas, lo bajaron en la camilla hasta ponerlo en medio de la gente, frente a Jesús.
20 Al ver la fe de ellos, Jesús dijo:
―Amigo, tus pecados quedan perdonados.
21 Los fariseos y los maestros de la ley comenzaron a pensar: «¿Quién es este que dice blasfemias? ¿Quién puede perdonar pecados sino solo Dios?»
22 Pero Jesús supo lo que estaban pensando y les dijo:
―¿Por qué razonáis así? 23 ¿Qué es más fácil decir: “Tus pecados quedan perdonados”, o “Levántate y anda”? 24 Pues para que sepáis que el Hijo del hombre tiene autoridad en la tierra para perdonar pecados —se dirigió entonces al paralítico—: A ti te digo, levántate, toma tu camilla y vete a tu casa.
25 Al instante se levantó a la vista de todos, tomó la camilla en que había estado acostado y se fue a su casa alabando a Dios. 26 Todos quedaron asombrados y ellos también alababan a Dios. Estaban llenos de temor y decían: «Hoy hemos visto maravillas».
Llamamiento de Leví(D)
27 Después de esto salió Jesús y se fijó en un recaudador de impuestos llamado Leví, sentado a la mesa donde cobraba.
―Sígueme —le dijo Jesús.
28 Y Leví se levantó, lo dejó todo y lo siguió.
29 Leví ofreció a Jesús un gran banquete en su casa, y había allí un grupo numeroso de recaudadores de impuestos y otras personas que estaban comiendo con ellos. 30 Pero los fariseos y los maestros de la ley que eran de la misma secta les reclamaban a los discípulos de Jesús:
―¿Por qué coméis y bebéis con recaudadores de impuestos y pecadores?
31 ―No son los sanos los que necesitan médico, sino los enfermos —les contestó Jesús—. 32 No he venido a llamar a justos, sino a pecadores para que se arrepientan.
Le preguntan a Jesús sobre el ayuno(E)
33 Algunos le dijeron a Jesús:
―Los discípulos de Juan ayunan y oran con frecuencia, lo mismo que los discípulos de los fariseos, pero los tuyos se pasan el día comiendo y bebiendo.
34 Jesús les replicó:
―¿Acaso podéis obligar a los invitados del novio a que ayunen mientras él está con ellos? 35 Llegará el día en que se les quitará el novio; en aquellos días sí ayunarán.
36 Les contó esta parábola:
―Nadie quita un retazo de un vestido nuevo para remendar un vestido viejo. De hacerlo así, habrá rasgado el vestido nuevo, y el retazo nuevo no hará juego con el vestido viejo. 37 Ni echa nadie vino nuevo en odres viejos. De hacerlo así, el vino nuevo hará reventar los odres, se derramará el vino y los odres se echarán a perder. 38 Más bien, el vino nuevo debe echarse en odres nuevos. 39 Y nadie que haya bebido vino añejo quiere el nuevo, porque dice: “El añejo es mejor”.

5 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,
2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
9 For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:
10 And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.
11 And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.
12 And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
13 And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
14 And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
15 But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16 And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
25 And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
26 And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.
27 And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.
28 And he left all, rose up, and followed him.
29 And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.
30 But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
33 And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?
34 And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
36 And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.
37 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
