Pescuirea minunată
5 Pe când(A) Se afla lângă lacul Ghenezaret şi Îl îmbulzea norodul ca să audă Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu, 2 Isus a văzut două corăbii la marginea lacului; pescarii ieşiseră din ele să-şi spele mrejele. 3 S-a suit într-una din aceste corăbii, care era a lui Simon, şi l-a rugat s-o depărteze puţin de la ţărm. Apoi, a şezut jos şi învăţa pe noroade din corabie. 4 Când a încetat să vorbească, a zis lui Simon: „Depărteaz-o(B) la adânc şi aruncaţi-vă mrejele pentru pescuire”. 5 Drept răspuns, Simon I-a zis: „Învăţătorule, toată noaptea ne-am trudit şi n-am prins nimic, dar, la cuvântul Tău, voi arunca mrejele!” 6 După ce le-au aruncat, au prins o aşa de mare mulţime de peşti că începeau să li se rupă mrejele. 7 Au făcut semn tovarăşilor lor, care erau în cealaltă corabie, să vină să le ajute. Aceia au venit şi au umplut amândouă corăbiile, aşa că au început să se afunde corăbiile. 8 Când a văzut Simon Petru lucrul acesta, s-a aruncat la genunchii lui Isus şi I-a zis: „Doamne, pleacă(C) de la mine, căci sunt un om păcătos”. 9 Fiindcă îl apucase spaima pe el şi pe toţi cei ce erau cu el din pricina pescuirii pe care o făcuseră. 10 Tot aşa şi pe Iacov şi pe Ioan, fiii lui Zebedei, tovarăşii lui Simon. Atunci, Isus a zis lui Simon: „Nu te teme; de acum(D) încolo vei fi pescar de oameni”. 11 Ei au scos corăbiile la mal, au lăsat(E) totul şi au mers după El.
Vindecarea unui lepros
12 Isus(F) era într-una din cetăţi. Şi iată că un om plin de lepră, cum L-a văzut, s-a aruncat cu faţa la pământ, L-a rugat şi I-a zis: „Doamne, dacă vrei, poţi să mă curăţeşti”. 13 Isus a întins mâna, S-a atins de el şi i-a zis: „Da, voiesc, fii curăţit!”Îndată l-a lăsat lepra. 14 Apoi(G), i-a poruncit să nu spună nimănui. „Ci du-te”, i-a zis El, „de te arată preotului şi adu, pentru curăţirea ta, ce(H) a rânduit Moise, ca mărturie pentru ei”. 15 Se răspândea tot mai mult vestea despre El, şi oamenii se(I) strângeau cu grămada ca să-L asculte şi să fie vindecaţi de bolile lor. 16 Iar(J) El se ducea în locuri pustii şi Se ruga.
Vindecarea unui slăbănog
17 Într-una din zile, Isus învăţa pe noroade. Nişte farisei şi învăţători ai Legii, care veniseră din toate satele Galileii şi Iudeii şi din Ierusalim, stăteau acolo; iar puterea Domnului era cu El, ca să vindece. 18 Şi(K) iată că nişte oameni purtau într-un pat pe un slăbănog şi căutau să-l ducă înăuntru, ca să-l pună înaintea Lui. 19 Fiindcă n-aveau pe unde să-l ducă înăuntru, din pricina norodului, s-au suit pe acoperişul casei şi l-au coborât cu patul printre cărămizi, în mijlocul adunării, înaintea lui Isus. 20 Când le-a văzut credinţa, Isus a zis: „Omule, păcatele îţi sunt iertate!” 21 Cărturarii şi fariseii au(L) început să cârtească şi să zică în ei înşişi: „Cine(M) este acesta de rosteşte hule? Cine poate să ierte păcatele decât singur Dumnezeu?” 22 Isus, care le-a cunoscut gândurile, a luat cuvântul şi le-a zis: „Pentru ce cârtiţi în inimile voastre? 23 Ce este mai lesne: a zice: ‘Păcatele îţi sunt iertate’ sau a zice: ‘Scoală-te şi umblă?’ 24 Dar, ca să ştiţi că Fiul omului are putere pe pământ să ierte păcatele: ţie îţi poruncesc”, a zis El slăbănogului, „scoală-te, ridică-ţi patul şi du-te acasă.” 25 Şi numaidecât, slăbănogul s-a sculat în faţa lor, a ridicat patul pe care zăcea şi s-a dus acasă, slăvind pe Dumnezeu. 26 Toţi au rămas uimiţi şi slăveau pe Dumnezeu; plini de frică ziceau: „Azi am văzut lucruri nemaipomenite”.
Chemarea lui Levi
27 După(N) aceea, Isus a ieşit afară şi a văzut pe un vameş, numit Levi, şezând la vamă. Şi i-a zis: „Vino după Mine!” 28 Vameşul a lăsat totul, s-a sculat şi a mers după El. 29 Levi I-a făcut(O) un ospăţ mare la el în casă, şi o mulţime de vameşi şi de alţi oaspeţi şedeau la masă cu ei. 30 Fariseii şi cărturarii cârteau şi ziceau ucenicilor Lui: „Pentru ce mâncaţi şi beţi împreună cu vameşii şi cu păcătoşii?” 31 Isus a luat cuvântul şi le-a zis: „Nu cei sănătoşi au trebuinţă de doctor, ci cei bolnavi. 32 N-am(P) venit să chem la pocăinţă pe cei neprihăniţi, ci pe cei păcătoşi.”
Întrebarea despre post
33 Ei I-au zis: „Ucenicii(Q) lui Ioan, ca şi ai fariseilor, postesc des şi fac rugăciuni, pe când ai Tăi mănâncă şi beau”. 34 El le-a răspuns: „Oare puteţi face pe nuntaşi să postească în timpul când mirele este cu ei? 35 Vor veni zile când va fi luat mirele de la ei; atunci vor posti în acele zile.” 36 Le-a spus(R) şi o pildă: „Nimeni nu rupe dintr-o haină nouă un petic ca să-l pună la o haină veche; altminteri, rupe şi haina cea nouă şi nici peticul luat de la ea nu se potriveşte la cea veche. 37 Şi nimeni nu pune vin nou în burdufuri vechi; altminteri, vinul cel nou sparge burdufurile, se varsă, şi burdufurile se prăpădesc; 38 ci vinul nou trebuie pus în burdufuri noi şi amândouă se păstrează. 39 Şi nimeni, după ce a băut vin vechi, nu voieşte vin nou, căci zice: ‘Este mai bun cel vechi’ ”.

Tinawag ni Jesus ang mga Unang Alagad(A)
5 Samantalang(B) sinisiksik si Jesus[a] ng napakaraming tao upang makinig ng salita ng Diyos, siya'y nakatayo sa tabi ng lawa ng Genesaret.
2 Nakakita siya ng dalawang bangka na nasa tabi ng lawa; wala na roon ang mga mangingisda at naghuhugas na ng kanilang mga lambat.
3 Lumulan siya sa isa sa mga bangka na pag-aari ni Simon at hiniling sa kanya na ilayo ito nang kaunti sa lupa. Siya'y umupo at mula sa bangka ay nagturo sa mga tao.
4 Nang matapos na siya sa pagsasalita ay sinabi niya kay Simon, “Pumunta ka sa malalim at ihulog ninyo ang inyong mga lambat upang makahuli.”
5 Sumagot(C) si Simon, “Guro, sa buong magdamag ay nagpakapagod kami at wala kaming nahuli. Subalit dahil sa iyong salita ay ihuhulog ko ang mga lambat.”
6 Nang(D) magawa nila ito, nakahuli sila ng napakaraming isda, at halos masira ang kanilang mga lambat,
7 kaya't kinawayan nila ang mga kasamahan nilang nasa ibang bangka upang lumapit at tulungan sila. Sila'y lumapit at pinuno ng isda ang dalawang bangka, anupa't sila'y nagpasimulang lumubog.
8 Ngunit nang makita ito ni Simon Pedro, lumuhod siya sa paanan ni Jesus, na nagsasabi, “Lumayo ka sa akin, sapagkat ako'y taong makasalanan, O Panginoon.”
9 Sapagkat siya at ang lahat ng kanyang kasama ay namangha dahil sa mga isdang kanilang nahuli,
10 gayundin si Santiago at si Juan, mga anak ni Zebedeo, na mga kasamahan ni Simon. At sinabi ni Jesus kay Simon, “Huwag kang matakot, mula ngayon ay mamamalakaya ka ng mga tao.”
11 Nang maitabi na nila sa lupa ang kanilang mga bangka ay iniwan nila ang lahat, at sumunod sa kanya.
Pinagaling ni Jesus ang Isang Ketongin(E)
12 Samantalang siya'y nasa isa sa mga lunsod, may dumating na isang lalaki na punô ng ketong.[b] Nang makita niya si Jesus, lumuhod siya at nakiusap sa kanya, “Panginoon, kung nais mo ay maaari mo akong linisin.”
13 Iniunat niya ang kanyang kamay at siya'y hinawakan at sinabi, “Nais ko, maging malinis ka.” At agad nawala ang kanyang ketong.
14 Ipinagbilin(F) niya sa kanya na huwag sabihin kaninuman. “Humayo ka, magpakita ka sa pari, at maghandog ka ayon sa iniutos ni Moises dahil ikaw ay naging malinis, bilang patotoo sa kanila.”
15 Subalit lalo niyang ikinalat ang balita tungkol kay Jesus. Nagtipon ang napakaraming tao upang makinig sa kanya at upang mapagaling sa kanilang mga sakit.
16 Subalit umaalis si Jesus patungo sa ilang at nananalangin.
Pinagaling ni Jesus ang Isang Lalaking Lumpo(G)
17 Isang araw, habang siya'y nagtuturo, may nakaupong mga Fariseo at mga guro ng kautusan, na nagmula sa bawat nayon ng Galilea, Judea at Jerusalem; at ang kapangyarihan ng Panginoon ay nasa kanya upang magpagaling.
18 At may dumating na mga lalaking may dalang isang lalaking lumpo na nasa isang higaan at sinikap nilang maipasok ang lumpo sa bahay at mailagay sa harap ni Jesus.[c]
19 Subalit dahil wala silang makitang daan dahil sa dami ng tao, umakyat sila sa bubungan ng bahay at ibinaba siya pati na ang kanyang higaan mula sa binutas nilang bubungan sa gawing gitna, sa harapan ni Jesus.
20 Nang makita niya ang kanilang pananampalataya ay sinabi niya, “Lalaki, pinatatawad ka na sa iyong mga kasalanan.”
21 Ang mga eskriba at mga Fariseo ay nagsimulang magtanong, “Sino ba ito na nagsasalita ng mga kalapastanganan? Sino ang makapagpapatawad ng mga kasalanan maliban sa Diyos lamang?”
22 Subalit batid ni Jesus ang kanilang mga iniisip at sinabi sa kanila, “Bakit ninyo ito pinag-aalinlanganan sa inyong mga puso?
23 Alin ba ang mas madali, ang sabihing, ‘Pinatatawad na ang iyong mga kasalanan,’ o ang sabihing, ‘Tumindig ka at lumakad?’
24 Ngunit upang malaman ninyo na ang Anak ng Tao ay may awtoridad sa ibabaw ng lupa na magpatawad ng mga kasalanan,”—sinabi niya ito sa lumpo, “Sinasabi ko sa iyo, tumindig ka, buhatin mo ang iyong higaan, at umuwi ka sa bahay mo.”
25 Kaagad siyang tumindig sa harapan nila, binuhat ang kanyang hinigaan, at umuwi sa kanyang bahay na niluluwalhati ang Diyos.
26 Labis na namangha ang lahat at niluwalhati nila ang Diyos. Napuno sila ng takot, na nagsasabi, “Nakakita kami ngayon ng mga bagay na kataka-taka.”
Tinawag ni Jesus si Levi(H)
27 Pagkatapos nito ay umalis si Jesus[d] at nakita ang isang maniningil ng buwis, na ang pangalan ay Levi, na nakaupo sa tanggapan ng buwis. At sinabi niya sa kanya, “Sumunod ka sa akin.”
28 Iniwan niya ang lahat, tumayo, at sumunod sa kanya.
29 Ipinaghanda siya ni Levi ng isang malaking piging sa kanyang bahay at napakaraming maniningil ng buwis at iba pa na nakaupong kasalo nila.
30 Nagbulung-bulungan(I) ang mga Fariseo at ang kanilang mga eskriba laban sa kanyang mga alagad na sinasabi, “Bakit kayo'y kumakain at umiinom na kasalo ng mga maniningil ng buwis at ng mga makasalanan?”
31 Sumagot si Jesus sa kanila, “Ang malulusog ay hindi nangangailangan ng manggagamot kundi ang mga maysakit.
32 Hindi ako pumarito upang tawagin ang mga matuwid, kundi ang mga makasalanan tungo sa pagsisisi.”
Ang Katanungan tungkol sa Pag-aayuno(J)
33 At sinabi nila sa kanya, “Ang mga alagad ni Juan ay malimit mag-ayuno at mag-alay ng mga panalangin, gayundin ang mga alagad ng mga Fariseo, subalit ang sa iyo ay kumakain at umiinom.”
34 At sinabi ni Jesus sa kanila, “Maaari bang pag-ayunuhin ninyo ang mga abay sa kasalan samantalang ang lalaking ikakasal ay kasama pa nila?
35 Subalit darating ang mga araw kapag kinuha sa kanila ang lalaking ikakasal, saka pa lamang sila mag-aayuno sa mga araw na iyon.”
36 Sinabi rin niya sa kanila ang isang talinghaga: “Walang taong pumipilas sa bagong damit at itinatagpi sa lumang damit. Kapag gayon, mapupunit ang bago at ang tagping mula sa bago ay di bagay sa luma.
37 At walang taong naglalagay ng bagong alak sa mga lumang sisidlang balat. Kung gayon, papuputukin ng bagong alak ang mga balat, at matatapon, at masisira ang mga balat.
38 Sa halip, ang bagong alak ay dapat ilagay sa mga bagong sisidlang balat.
39 At walang sinumang matapos uminom ng alak na laon ay magnanais ng bago, sapagkat sinasabi niya, ‘Masarap ang laon.’”

5 (A)Now it happened that while the crowd was pressing around Him and listening to the word of God, He was standing at the edge of (B)the lake of Gennesaret; 2 and He saw two boats lying at the edge of the lake, and the fishermen, having gotten out of them, were washing their nets. 3 (C)And He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little way from the land. And He sat down and began teaching the crowds from the boat. 4 And when He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water and (D)let down your nets for a catch.” 5 Simon answered and said, “(E)Master, (F)we labored all night and caught nothing, but at Your word, I will let down the nets.” 6 And when they had done this, (G)they enclosed a great quantity of fish. And their nets began to break; 7 so they signaled to their partners in the other boat for them to come and help them. And they came and filled both of the boats, so that they began to sink. 8 But when Simon Peter saw this, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Go away from me Lord, for I am a sinful man!” 9 For amazement had seized him and all his companions because of the catch of fish which they had taken, 10 and [a]James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon, were also likewise amazed. And Jesus said to Simon, “(H)Do not fear, from now on you will be (I)catching men.” 11 And when they had brought their boats to land, (J)they left everything and followed Him.
Jesus Heals a Leper
12 (K)And it happened that while He was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man [b]covered with leprosy; and when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and begged Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” 13 And He stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately the leprosy left him. 14 And He directed him to tell no one, “But go and (L)show yourself to the priest and make an offering for your cleansing, just as Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” 15 But (M)the news about Him was spreading even farther, and large crowds were gathering to hear Him and to be healed of their sicknesses. 16 But He Himself would often slip away [c]to the desolate regions and (N)pray.
Jesus Heals a Paralytic
17 And it happened that [d]one day He was teaching; and (O)there were some Pharisees and (P)teachers of the law sitting there, who had (Q)come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem, and (R)the power of the Lord was present for Him to perform healing. 18 (S)And behold, some men were carrying on a stretcher a man who was paralyzed; and they were trying to bring him in and to set him down before Him. 19 But not finding any way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on (T)the roof and let him down (U)through the tiles with his stretcher, into the middle of the crowd, in front of Jesus. 20 And seeing their faith, He said, “[e]Friend, (V)your sins are forgiven you.” 21 The scribes and the Pharisees (W)began to reason, saying, “(X)Who is this who speaks blasphemies? (Y)Who can forgive sins, but God alone?” 22 But Jesus, [f]knowing their reasonings, answered and said to them, “Why are you reasoning in your hearts? 23 Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins have been forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 24 But, so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,”—He said to the (Z)paralytic—“I say to you, get up, and, picking up your stretcher, go home.” 25 And immediately he rose up before them, and picked up what he had been lying on, and went home (AA)glorifying God. 26 And astonishment seized them all and they began (AB)glorifying God; and they were filled (AC)with fear, saying, “We have seen remarkable things today.”
Levi and Sinners Called
27 (AD)And after that He went out and noticed a tax collector named [g](AE)Levi sitting in the tax office, and He said to him, “Follow Me.” 28 And he (AF)left everything behind, and rose up and began to follow Him.
29 And (AG)Levi gave a big reception for Him in his house; and there was a great crowd of (AH)tax collectors and other people who were reclining at the table with them. 30 (AI)And the Pharisees and their scribes began grumbling at His disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and [h]sinners?” 31 And Jesus answered and said to them, “(AJ)It is not those who are well who need a physician, but those who are sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”
33 And they said to Him, “(AK)The disciples of John often fast and offer prayers, the disciples of the Pharisees also do likewise, but Yours eat and drink.” 34 And Jesus said to them, “Can you make the [i]attendants of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them? 35 (AL)But the days will come; and when the bridegroom is taken away from them, then they will fast in those days.” 36 And He was also telling them a parable: “No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and puts it on an old garment; otherwise he will both tear the new and the piece from the new will not match the old. 37 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled out, and the skins will be ruined. 38 But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins. 39 And no one, after drinking old wine wishes for new; for he says, ‘The old is good enough.’”
