⁴⁴ No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me ^(A)draws him. And ^(B)I will raise him up on the last day.

⁶⁵ And he said, “This is why I told you ^(A)that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”

³⁹ And ^(A)this is the will of him who sent me, ^(B)that I should lose nothing of ^(C)all that he has given me, but ^(D)raise it up on the last day. ⁴⁰ For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who ^(E)looks on the Son and ^(F)believes in him ^(G)should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

Come to Me, and I Will Give You Rest

^25 (A)At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, ^(B)Lord of heaven and earth, that ^(C)you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and ^(D)revealed them to little children; ²⁶ yes, Father, for such was your ^(E)gracious will.^{[a] 27 (F)}All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son ^(G)except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone ^(H)to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

⁴ But^[a] God, being ^(A)rich in mercy, ^(B)because of the great love with which he loved us, ⁵ even ^(C)when we were dead in our trespasses, ^(D)made us alive together with Christ—^(E)by grace you have been saved— ⁶ and raised us up with him and ^(F)seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, ⁷ so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable ^(G)riches of his grace in ^(H)kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. ⁸ For ^(I)by grace you have been saved ^(J)through faith. And this is ^(K)not your own doing; ^(L)it is the gift of God, ^9 (M)not a result of works, ^(N)so that no one may boast. ¹⁰ For ^(O)we are his workmanship, ^(P)created in Christ Jesus ^(Q)for good works, ^(R)which God prepared beforehand, ^(S)that we should walk in them.

³² And I, ^(A)when I am lifted up from the earth, ^(B)will draw ^(C)all people to myself.”

⁴⁵ It is written in the Prophets, ^(A)‘And they will all be ^(B)taught by God.’ ^(C)Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me—

¹⁷ And Jesus answered him, ^(A)“Blessed are you, ^(B)Simon Bar-Jonah! For ^(C)flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, ^(D)but my Father who is in heaven.

³ For ^(A)we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. ⁴ But when ^(B)the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, ⁵ he saved us, ^(C)not because of works done by us in righteousness, but ^(D)according to his own mercy, by ^(E)the washing of regeneration and ^(F)renewal of the Holy Spirit,
