⁴² Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for ^(A)we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed ^[a]the Christ, the Savior of the world.”

¹⁴ And ^(A)we have seen and testify that ^(B)the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.

²⁰ And we know that the ^(A)Son of God has come and ^(B)has given us an understanding, ^(C)that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. ^(D)This is the true God ^(E)and eternal life.

¹⁰ For to this end ^[a]we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, ^(A)who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

¹⁹ that is, that ^(A)God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not ^[a]imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

^12 (A)Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

The Lamb of God^(A)

²⁹ The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! ^(B)The Lamb of God ^(C)who takes away the sin of the world!

⁶⁸ But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have ^(A)the words of eternal life. ^69 (B)Also we have come to believe and know that You are the ^[a]Christ, the Son of the living God.”

¹¹ For the Scripture says, ^(A)“Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” ¹² For ^(B)there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for ^(C)the same Lord over all ^(D)is rich to all who call upon Him. ¹³ For ^(E)“whoever calls ^(F)on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
