^18 (A)I am not speaking of all of you; I know ^(B)whom I have chosen. But ^(C)the Scripture will be fulfilled,^{[a] (D)}‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’

²³ He answered, ^(A)“He who has dipped his hand in the dish with me will betray me.

^12 (A)While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have ^(B)guarded them, and ^(C)not one of them has been lost except ^(D)the son of destruction, ^(E)that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

²⁰ He said to them, “It is ^(A)one of the twelve, ^(B)one who is dipping bread into the dish with me.

²⁶ Jesus answered, ^(A)“It is he to whom I will give this morsel of bread ^(B)when I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the morsel, ^(C)he gave it to Judas, ^(D)the son of Simon Iscariot.

¹⁰ Jesus said to him, “The one who has bathed does not need to wash, ^(A)except for his feet,^[a] but is completely clean. And ^(B)you^[b] are clean, ^(C)but not every one of you.” ^11 (D)For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said, “Not all of you are clean.”

⁷⁰ Jesus answered them, ^(A)“Did I not choose you, ^(B)the twelve? And yet one of you is ^(C)a devil.”

^19 (A)If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because ^(B)you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
