    who has ^(B)hardened himself against him, and succeeded?—

^17 (A)What is man, that you make so much of him,
    and that you set your heart on him,

^22 (A)They will be gathered together
    as prisoners in a pit;
they will be shut up in a prison,
    and after many days ^(B)they will be punished.
