⁶ Naked is ^(A)Sheol before Him,
And ^[a](B)Abaddon has no covering.
⁷ He ^(C)stretches out the north over what is formless
And hangs the earth on nothing.
⁸ He ^(D)wraps up the waters in His clouds,
And the cloud does not break out under them.
⁹ He ^[b](E)obscures the face of His ^[c]throne
And spreads His cloud over it.
¹⁰ He has marked a ^(F)circle on the surface of the waters
At the ^(G)boundary of light and darkness.
¹¹ The pillars of heaven tremble
And are astonished at His rebuke.
¹² He ^(H)quieted the sea with His power,
And by His ^(I)understanding He crushed ^(J)Rahab.
¹³ By His breath the ^(K)heavens are made beautiful;
His hand has pierced ^(L)the fleeing serpent.
¹⁴ Behold, these are the fringes of His ways;
And how only with a whisper of ^(M)a word do we hear of Him!
But His mighty ^(N)thunder, who can understand?”

¹⁷ Have the gates of death been revealed to you,
Or have you seen the gates of the ^(A)shadow of death?
