^22 (A)Do you not fear me? declares the Lord.
    Do you not tremble before me?
I placed the sand ^(B)as the boundary for the sea,
    a perpetual barrier that it cannot pass;
though the waves toss, they cannot prevail;
    though ^(C)they roar, they cannot pass over it.

¹²⁰ My flesh ^(A)trembles for fear of you,
    and I am afraid of your judgments.

⁹ You set ^(A)a boundary that they may not pass,
    so that they ^(B)might not again cover the earth.

¹⁰ and prescribed ^(A)limits for it
    and set bars and doors,
¹¹ and said, ‘Thus far shall you come, and no farther,
    and here shall your ^(B)proud waves be stayed’?

¹⁰ He has inscribed ^(A)a circle on the face of the waters
    at the boundary between light and darkness.

²⁹ when he ^(A)assigned to the sea its ^(B)limit,
    so that the waters might not transgress his command,
when he marked out ^(C)the foundations of the earth,

^4 (A)He rebukes the sea and makes it dry;
    he dries up all the rivers;
^(B)Bashan and ^(C)Carmel wither;
    the bloom of ^(D)Lebanon withers.
