Nouvo Testaman: Vèsyon Kreyòl Fasil
Jezi lave pye disip li yo
13 Anvan fèt Pak la, Jezi te deja konnen lè l te rive pou l kite lemonn pou l ale kote Papa l, li te toujou renmen moun li chwazi pou disip li yo. Lè sa a, li ba yo yon prèv lanmou san mezi.
2 Pandan yo t ap manje nan aswè, lè sa a, Satan te gentan mete nan kè Jida, pitit Simon Iskaryòt la, pou l trayi Jezi. 3 Poutèt Jezi konnen Papa l te remèt li tout bagay, se Bondye ki te voye l epi l ap retounen jwenn Bondye, 4 li leve kote yo t ap manje a, li wete rad li epi li pran yon twal fè sèvyèt mare ren li. 5 Apre sa, li vide dlo nan yon veso, li pran lave pye[a] disip li yo, epi siye yo ak twal li te mare ren l lan.
6 Li te rive sou Simon Pyè pou l lave pye l.
8 Pyè di l konsa: “Lave pye m menm!
Men pou Bib la kapab akonpli: Moun k ap manje pen avèk mwen an leve kont mwen.[b] 19 Depi kounye a mwen di nou sa anvan l rive. Konsa, lè sa va rive, nou va kwè mwen se Mesi a vre.[c] 20 An verite, an verite, mwen di nou: moun ki resevwa moun mwen voye, se mwen li resevwa, men moun ki resevwa m, se moun ki voye m nan li resevwa.”
Jezi fè konnen kilès ki va leve kont li
(Mat 26:20-25; Mak 14:17-21; Lik 22:21-23)
21 Lè l fin pale konsa, li te santi l boulvèse anndan l, epi li di yo aklè: “An verite, an verite, mwen di nou: gen youn nan nou k ap trayi m.”
26 Jezi reponn li: “Moun ou va wè m tranpe yon moso pen ba li a.” Lè sa a, li plonje yon moso pen nan asyèt la epi li lonje l bay Jida Iskaryòt, pitit Simon an. 27 Apre moso pen sa a, satan antre nan Jida. Lè sa a, Jezi di l: “Sa ou ap fè a fè l vit.” 28 Pèsonn sou tab la pa t konprann pou kisa li te di Jida sa. 29 Kòm Jida te responsab kès la, kèk moun te panse Jezi te di li, al achte sa w gen pou achte pou fèt la, oubyen bay pòv yo kichòy.
30 Jida limenm, li fin pran moso pen tranpe a, li leve soti lamenm, li te lannuit fènwa.
Jezi pale sou lanmò li
31 Lè Jida soti, Jezi di konsa: “Kounye a yo pral glorifye Pitit Lòm nan, li menm li glorifye Bondye nan lavi l. 32 Poutèt Pitit la te glorifye Bondye Papa a nan lavi l, talè konsa, Papa a pral glorifye Pitit la nan li menm.
33 Zanmi m yo, mwen p ap pase anpil tan ak nou ankò. Nou va chache m, men, menm jan m te di lidè Jwif yo, mwen di nou sa tou, nou p ap kapab vini kote m prale a.
34 M ap ban nou yon kòmandman nouvo: Se pou nou renmen youn lòt. Se pou nou renmen youn lòt menm jan m renmen nou an. 35 Tout moun va konnen nou se disip mwen, si nou youn renmen lòt.”
Jezi di Pyè gen pou renye l
(Mat 26:31-35; Mak 14:27-31; Lik 22:31-34)
36 Simon Pyè mande Jezi: “Senyè, kote w prale?”
Jezi reponn li: “Kote m prale a ou pa kab swiv mwen kounye a, men ou va swiv mwen pita.”
37 Pyè di l konsa: “Senyè, pou kisa m pa kapab swiv ou kounye a? M prèt pou m bay lavi m pou ou.”
38 Jezi reponn li: “Ou ap bay lavi w pou mwen? An verite, an verite, m ap di w: anvan kòk chante, ou ap gen tan fè sèman di ou pa konnen m.”
Footnotes
- 13:5 lave pye Yon koutim nan sosyete a nan premye syèk la, paske moun yo te mete sandal nan pye yo nan tout kalte wout plen ak labou oubyen pousyè.
- 13:18 leve kont mwen Literalman, “leve talon kont mwen”.
Gade nan Egz 3:14 epi tou Eza 41:4; 43:10. Li kapab vle di tou “se men menm ki,” sa vle di “Se mwen menm ki Mesi a.”
John 13
King James Version
13 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.
11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.
19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.
20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
22 Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake.
23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake.
25 He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it?
26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
28 Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.
29 For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.
30 He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.
31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
32 If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.
33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
36 Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards.
37 Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.
38 Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.

English Standard Version
Jesus Washes the Disciples' Feet
13 Now (A)before (B)the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that (C)his hour had come (D)to depart out of this world to the Father, (E)having loved (F)his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. 2 During supper, when (G)the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him, 3 Jesus, knowing (H)that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that (I)he had come from God and (J)was going back to God, 4 rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, (K)tied it around his waist. 5 Then he (L)poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. 6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, do you wash my feet?” 7 (M)Jesus answered him, “What I am doing (N)you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.” 8 (O)Peter said to him, “You shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered him, (P)“If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.” 9 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!” 10 Jesus said to him, “The one who has bathed does not need to wash, (Q)except for his feet,[a] but is completely clean. And (R)you[b] are clean, (S)but not every one of you.” 11 (T)For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said, “Not all of you are clean.”
12 When he had washed their feet and (U)put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, (V)“Do you understand what I have done to you? 13 (W)You call me (X)Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, (Y)you also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I have given you an example, (Z)that you also should do just as I have done to you. 16 Truly, truly, I say to you, (AA)a servant[c] is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 If you know these things, (AB)blessed are you if you do them. 18 (AC)I am not speaking of all of you; I know (AD)whom I have chosen. But (AE)the Scripture will be fulfilled,[d] (AF)‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’ 19 (AG)I am telling you this now, before it takes place, that when it does take place you may believe that I am he. 20 Truly, truly, I say to you, (AH)whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.”
One of You Will Betray Me
21 After saying these things, (AI)Jesus was troubled in his spirit, and testified, (AJ)“Truly, truly, I say to you, (AK)one of you will betray me.” 22 (AL)The disciples looked at one another, uncertain of whom he spoke. 23 (AM)One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was reclining at table (AN)at Jesus' side,[e] 24 so Simon Peter motioned to him to ask Jesus[f] of whom he was speaking. 25 (AO)So that disciple, (AP)leaning back against Jesus, said to him, “Lord, who is it?” 26 Jesus answered, (AQ)“It is he to whom I will give this morsel of bread (AR)when I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the morsel, (AS)he gave it to Judas, (AT)the son of Simon Iscariot. 27 Then after he had taken the morsel, (AU)Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, (AV)“What you are going to do, do quickly.” 28 Now no one at the table knew why he said this to him. 29 Some thought that, (AW)because Judas had the moneybag, Jesus was telling him, “Buy what we need (AX)for the feast,” or that he should (AY)give something to the poor. 30 So, after receiving the morsel of bread, he immediately went out. (AZ)And it was night.
A New Commandment
31 When he had gone out, Jesus said, (BA)“Now is the Son of Man glorified, and (BB)God is glorified in him. 32 If God is glorified in him, (BC)God will also glorify him in himself, and (BD)glorify him at once. 33 Little children, (BE)yet a little while I am with you. You will seek me, and just (BF)as I said to the Jews, so now I also say to you, ‘Where I am going you cannot come.’ 34 (BG)A new commandment (BH)I give to you, (BI)that you love one another: (BJ)just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 (BK)By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Jesus Foretells Peter's Denial
36 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” (BL)Jesus answered him, “Where I am going (BM)you cannot follow me now, (BN)but you will follow afterward.” 37 (BO)Peter said to him, “Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.” 38 Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly, I say to you, (BP)the rooster will not crow till you have denied me three times.
