⁸ Then ^(A)it will sweep on into Judah; it will overflow and pass through;
It will ^(B)reach even to the neck;
And the spread of its wings will ^[a]fill the breadth of ^[b]Your land, O ^(C)Immanuel.

² Behold, the Lord has a strong and ^(A)courageous agent;
As a storm of ^(B)hail, a tempest of destruction,
Like a storm of ^(C)mighty overflowing waters,
He has set it down to the earth with His hand.

²⁸ His ^(A)breath is like an overflowing torrent,
Which ^(B)reaches to the neck,
To ^(C)shake the nations back and forth in a ^[a]sieve of worthlessness,
And to put in the jaws of the peoples ^(D)the bridle which staggers one to ruin.
