⁶ “Inasmuch as these people have ^(A)rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah
And rejoice in ^(B)Rezin and the son of Remaliah;
⁷ Now therefore, behold, the Lord is about to bring on them the ^(C)mighty and abundant waters of the ^[a](D)River—
The ^(E)king of Assyria and all his glory;
And it will ^(F)rise up over all its channels and go over all its banks.

²⁸ His ^(A)breath is like an overflowing torrent,
Which ^(B)reaches to the neck,
To ^(C)shake the nations back and forth in a ^[a]sieve of worthlessness,
And to put in the jaws of the peoples ^(D)the bridle which staggers one to ruin.

And ^(A)He knows those who take refuge in Him.
⁸ But with an ^(B)overflowing flood
