‘Keep on ^(A)hearing, but do not understand;
Keep on seeing, but do not know.’

And their eyes ^[c]dim,
^(D)Lest they see with their eyes,
And hear with their ears,
And understand with their hearts,
And return and be healed.”

“Until ^(F)cities are devastated and without inhabitant,
Houses are without people,
And the land is devastated to desolation,
¹² And Yahweh has ^(G)removed men far away,
And the ^[d](H)forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.
¹³ Yet there will be a tenth portion in it,
And it will again be subject to burning,
Like a terebinth or like an ^(I)oak
Whose stump remains when it is felled.
The ^(J)holy seed is its stump.”

⁸ Bring out the people who are ^(A)blind, even though they have eyes,
And the deaf, even though they have ears.

²¹ ‘Now hear this, O people who are simpleminded fools and without a heart of wisdom,
Who have ^(A)eyes but do not see,
Who have ears but do not hear.
