What troubles you now,
    that you have all gone up on the roofs,^(D)

¹³ I am against^(A) you, Jerusalem,
    you who live above this valley^(B)
    on the rocky plateau, declares the Lord—
you who say, “Who can come against us?
    Who can enter our refuge?”^(C)

¹⁴ Multitudes,^(A) multitudes
    in the valley^(B) of decision!
For the day of the Lord^(C) is near
    in the valley of decision.^(D)

¹² “Let the nations be roused;
    let them advance into the Valley of Jehoshaphat,^(A)
for there I will sit
    to judge^(B) all the nations on every side.

³ In the streets they wear sackcloth;^(A)
    on the roofs^(B) and in the public squares^(C)
they all wail,^(D)
    prostrate with weeping.^(E)

⁶ Therefore night will come over you, without visions,
    and darkness, without divination.^(A)
The sun will set for the prophets,^(B)
    and the day will go dark for them.^(C)
