Hebrews 7:11

Jesus Like Melchizedek
11 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people(A) established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come,(B) one in the order of Melchizedek,(C) not in the order of Aaron?
Hebrews 8:7

10 This is the covenant(A) I will establish with the people of Israel
after that time, declares the Lord.
I will put my laws in their minds
and write them on their hearts.(B)
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.(C)
11 No longer will they teach their neighbor,
or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know me,(D)
from the least of them to the greatest.
12 For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more.(E)”[a](F)
13 By calling this covenant “new,”(G) he has made the first one obsolete;(H) and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.

10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head(A) over every power and authority.(B) 11 In him you were also circumcised(C) with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh[a](D) was put off when you were circumcised by[b] Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism,(E) in which you were also raised with him(F) through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.(G)
13 When you were dead in your sins(H) and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you[c] alive(I) with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,(J) 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness,(K) which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.(L) 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities,(M) he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them(N) by the cross.[d]
Freedom From Human Rules
16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you(O) by what you eat or drink,(P) or with regard to a religious festival,(Q) a New Moon celebration(R) or a Sabbath day.(S) 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come;(T) the reality, however, is found in Christ.

Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All
10 The law is only a shadow(A) of the good things(B) that are coming—not the realities themselves.(C) For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect(D) those who draw near to worship.(E) 2 Otherwise, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins.(F) 3 But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins.(G) 4 It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats(H) to take away sins.(I)
