¹⁹ But God said, “No, but Sarah your wife will bear you ^(A)a son, and you shall call his name ^[a]Isaac; and ^(B)I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him.

¹¹ Now ^(A)Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in age; Sarah was ^(B)past ^[a]childbearing. ¹² And Sarah laughed ^[b]to herself, saying, “^(C)After I am worn out, shall I have pleasure, my ^(D)lord being old also?” ¹³ And Yahweh said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I indeed ^[c]bear a son, when I am so old?’ ^14 (E)Is anything too ^[d]difficult for Yahweh? At the ^(F)appointed time I will return to you, ^[e]at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”

^2 (A)So Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at ^(B)the appointed time of which God had spoken to him.
