⁸ And He ^(A)gave him ^[a]the covenant of circumcision; and so ^(B)Abraham was the father of Isaac, and circumcised him on the eighth day; and ^(C)Isaac was the father of Jacob, and ^(D)Jacob of the twelve ^(E)patriarchs.

²² For it is written that Abraham had two sons, ^(A)one by the servant-woman and ^(B)one by the free woman.

¹¹ By faith even ^(A)Sarah herself ^[a]received ^[b]ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she regarded Him ^(B)faithful who had promised.
