² God spoke further to Moses and said to him, “I am ^(A)the Lord; ³ and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as ^[a](B)God Almighty, but by ^(C)My name, ^[b]Lord, I did not make Myself known to them. ⁴ I also established ^(D)My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the ^[c]land in which they sojourned. ⁵ Furthermore I have ^(E)heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, because the Egyptians are holding them in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant. ⁶ Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, ‘^(F)I am the Lord, and ^(G)I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also ^(H)redeem you with ^(I)an outstretched arm and with great judgments. ⁷ Then I will take you ^[d](J)for My people, and ^(K)I will be ^[e]your God; and ^(L)you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. ⁸ I will bring you to the land which ^(M)I ^[f]swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and ^(N)I will give it to you for a possession; ^(O)I am the Lord.’” ⁹ So Moses spoke thus to the sons of Israel, but they did not listen to Moses on ^(P)account of their ^[g]despondency and cruel bondage.

¹⁰ Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ¹¹ “^(Q)Go, ^[h]tell Pharaoh king of Egypt ^[i]to let the sons of Israel go out of his land.” ¹² But Moses spoke before the Lord, saying, “Behold, the sons of Israel have not listened to me; ^(R)how then will Pharaoh listen to me, for I am ^[j](S)unskilled in speech?” ¹³ Then the Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a charge to the sons of Israel and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

The Heads of Israel

¹⁴ These are the heads of their fathers’ households. ^(T)The sons of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn: Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi; these are the families of Reuben. ¹⁵ The ^(U)sons of Simeon: Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and Jachin and Zohar and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the families of Simeon. ¹⁶ These are the names of ^(V)the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon and Kohath and Merari; and the ^[k]length of Levi’s life was one hundred and thirty-seven years. ^17 (W)The sons of Gershon: ^[l]Libni and Shimei, according to their families. ^18 (X)The sons of Kohath: Amram and Izhar and Hebron and Uzziel; and the ^[m]length of Kohath’s life was one hundred and thirty-three years. ^19 (Y)The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their generations. ^20 (Z)Amram ^[n]married his father’s sister Jochebed, and she bore him Aaron and Moses; and the ^[o]length of Amram’s life was one hundred and thirty-seven years. ^21 (AA)The sons of Izhar: Korah and Nepheg and Zichri. ^22 (AB)The sons of Uzziel: Mishael and ^[p]Elzaphan and Sithri. ²³ Aaron ^[q]married Elisheba, the daughter of ^(AC)Amminadab, the sister of ^(AD)Nahshon, and she bore him ^(AE)Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. ²⁴ The ^(AF)sons of Korah: Assir and Elkanah and ^[r]Abiasaph; these are the families of the Korahites. ²⁵ Aaron’s son ^(AG)Eleazar ^[s]married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him ^(AH)Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites according to their families. ²⁶ It was the same Aaron and Moses to whom the Lord said, “^(AI)Bring out the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their ^(AJ)hosts.” ²⁷ They were the ones ^(AK)who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt ^[t]about bringing out the sons of Israel from Egypt; it was the same Moses and Aaron.

²⁸ Now it came about on the day when the Lord spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt, ²⁹ that the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “^(AL)I am the Lord; ^(AM)speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I speak to you.” ³⁰ But Moses said before the Lord, “Behold, I am ^[u](AN)unskilled in speech; how then will Pharaoh listen to me?”

“I Will Stretch Out My Hand”

7 Then the Lord said to Moses, “^(AO)See, I make you as God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet. ² You shall speak all that I command you, and your brother ^(AP)Aaron shall speak to Pharaoh that he let the sons of Israel go out of his land. ³ But ^(AQ)I will harden Pharaoh’s heart that I may ^(AR)multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt. ⁴ When ^(AS)Pharaoh does not listen to you, then I will lay My hand on Egypt and ^(AT)bring out My hosts, My people the sons of Israel, from the land of Egypt by ^(AU)great judgments. ^5 (AV)The Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I ^(AW)stretch out My hand on Egypt and bring out the sons of Israel from their midst.” ⁶ So Moses and Aaron did it; ^(AX)as the Lord commanded them, thus they did. ⁷ Moses was ^(AY)eighty years old and Aaron ^[v]eighty-three, when they spoke to Pharaoh.

Aaron’s Rod Becomes a Serpent

⁸ Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, ⁹ “When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘^[w](AZ)Work a miracle,’ then you shall say to Aaron, ‘^(BA)Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh, that it may become a serpent.’” ¹⁰ So Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh, and thus they did just as the Lord had commanded; and Aaron threw his staff down before Pharaoh and ^[x]his servants, and it ^(BB)became a serpent. ¹¹ Then Pharaoh also ^(BC)called for the wise men and the sorcerers, and they also, the ^[y](BD)magicians of Egypt, did ^[z]the same with ^(BE)their secret arts. ¹² For each one threw down his staff and they turned into serpents. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs. ¹³ Yet ^(BF)Pharaoh’s heart was ^[aa]hardened, and he did not listen to them, as the Lord had said.

Water Is Turned to Blood

¹⁴ Then the Lord said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is ^[ab]stubborn; he refuses to let the people go. ¹⁵ Go to Pharaoh in the morning ^[ac]as ^(BG)he is going out to the water, and station yourself to meet him on the bank of the Nile; and you shall take in your hand ^(BH)the staff that was turned into a serpent. ^16 (BI)You shall say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, sent me to you, saying, “^(BJ)Let My people go, that they may serve Me in the wilderness. But behold, you have not listened until now.” ¹⁷ Thus says the Lord, “^(BK)By this you shall know that I am the Lord: behold, I will strike ^[ad]the water that is in the Nile with the staff that is in my hand, and ^(BL)it will be turned to blood. ^18 (BM)The fish that are in the Nile will die, and the Nile will ^[ae]become foul, and the Egyptians will ^[af](BN)find difficulty in drinking water from the Nile.”’” ¹⁹ Then the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and ^(BO)stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their ^[ag]streams, and over their pools, and over all their reservoirs of water, that they may become blood; and there will be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.’”

²⁰ So Moses and Aaron did even as the Lord had commanded. And he lifted up ^[ah](BP)the staff and struck the water that was in the Nile, in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, and ^(BQ)all the water that was in the Nile was turned to blood. ²¹ The fish that were in the Nile died, and the Nile ^[ai]became foul, so that the Egyptians could not drink water from the Nile. And the blood was through all the land of Egypt. ^22 (BR)But the ^[aj]magicians of Egypt did ^[ak]the same with their secret arts; and Pharaoh’s heart was ^[al]hardened, and he did not listen to them, as the Lord had said. ²³ Then Pharaoh turned and went into his house ^[am]with no concern even for this. ²⁴ So all the Egyptians dug around the Nile for water to drink, for they could not drink of the water of the Nile. ²⁵ Seven days ^[an]passed after the Lord had struck the Nile.

Frogs over the Land

8 ^[ao]Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord, “^(BS)Let My people go, that they may serve Me. ² But if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite your whole territory with frogs. ³ The Nile will ^(BT)swarm with frogs, which will come up and go into your house and into your bedroom and on your bed, and into the houses of your servants and on your people, and into your ovens and into your kneading bowls. ⁴ So the frogs will come up on you and your people and all your servants.”’” ^5 [ap]Then the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘^(BU)Stretch out your hand with your staff over the rivers, over the ^[aq]streams and over the pools, and make frogs come up on the land of Egypt.’” ⁶ So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the ^[ar](BV)frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt. ^7 (BW)The ^[as]magicians did ^[at]the same with their secret arts, ^[au]making frogs come up on the land of Egypt.

⁸ Then Pharaoh ^(BX)called for Moses and Aaron and said, “^(BY)Entreat the Lord that He remove the frogs from me and from my people; and ^(BZ)I will let the people go, that they may sacrifice to the Lord.” ⁹ Moses said to Pharaoh, “^[av]The honor is yours to tell me: when shall I entreat for you and your servants and your people, that the frogs be ^[aw]destroyed from you and your houses, that they may be left only in the Nile?”

¹⁰ Then he said, “Tomorrow.” So he said, “May it be according to your word, that you may know that there is ^(CA)no one like the Lord our God. ¹¹ The ^(CB)frogs will depart from you and your houses and your servants and your people; they will be left only in the Nile.” ¹² Then Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh, and ^(CC)Moses cried to the Lord concerning the frogs which He had ^[ax]inflicted upon Pharaoh. ¹³ The Lord did according to the word of Moses, and the frogs died out of the houses, the courts, and the fields. ¹⁴ So they piled them in heaps, and the land ^[ay]became foul. ¹⁵ But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he ^[az]hardened his heart and ^(CD)did not listen to them, as the Lord had said.

The Plague of Insects

¹⁶ Then the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your staff and strike the dust of the earth, that it may become ^[ba]gnats through all the land of Egypt.’” ¹⁷ They did so; and Aaron stretched out his hand with his staff, and struck the dust of the earth, and there were ^[bb]gnats on man and beast. All the dust of the earth became ^[bc](CE)gnats through all the land of Egypt. ¹⁸ The ^[bd]magicians tried with their secret arts to bring forth ^[be]gnats, but ^(CF)they could not; so there were ^[bf]gnats on man and beast. ¹⁹ Then the ^[bg]magicians said to Pharaoh, “^(CG)This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart was ^[bh]hardened, and he did not listen to them, as the Lord had said.

²⁰ Now the Lord said to Moses, “^(CH)Rise early in the morning and present yourself before Pharaoh, ^[bi]as ^(CI)he comes out to the water, and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord, “^(CJ)Let My people go, that they may serve Me. ²¹ For if you do not let My people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies on you and on your servants and on your people and into your houses; and the houses of the Egyptians will be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground on which they dwell. ^22 (CK)But on that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, where My people are ^[bj]living, so that no swarms of flies will be there, in order that you may know that ^[bk](CL)I, the Lord, am in the midst of the land. ²³ I will ^[bl]put a division between My people and your people. Tomorrow this sign will occur.”’” ²⁴ Then the Lord did so. And there came ^[bm]great swarms of flies into the house of Pharaoh and the houses of his servants and the land was ^(CM)laid waste because of the swarms of flies in all the land of Egypt.

²⁵ Pharaoh ^(CN)called for Moses and Aaron and said, “^(CO)Go, sacrifice to your God within the land.” ²⁶ But Moses said, “It is not right to do so, for we will sacrifice to the Lord our God ^[bn]what is ^(CP)an abomination to the Egyptians. If we sacrifice ^[bo]what is an abomination to the Egyptians before their eyes, will they not then stone us? ²⁷ We must go a ^(CQ)three days’ journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to the Lord our God as He ^[bp]commands us.” ²⁸ Pharaoh said, “^(CR)I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away. ^(CS)Make supplication for me.” ²⁹ Then Moses said, “Behold, I am going out from you, and I shall make supplication to the Lord that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people tomorrow; only do not let Pharaoh ^(CT)deal deceitfully again in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the Lord.”

³⁰ So ^(CU)Moses went out from Pharaoh and made supplication to the Lord. ³¹ The Lord did ^[bq]as Moses asked, and removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants and from his people; not one remained. ³² But Pharaoh ^[br]hardened his heart this time also, and ^(CV)he did not let the people go.

Egyptian Cattle Die

9 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and speak to him, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, “^(CW)Let My people go, that they may serve Me. ² For ^(CX)if you refuse to let them go and ^[bs]continue to hold them, ³ behold, ^(CY)the hand of the Lord ^[bt]will come with a very severe pestilence on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks. ^4 (CZ)But the Lord will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt, so that ^(DA)nothing will die of all that belongs to the sons of Israel.”’” ⁵ The Lord set a definite time, saying, “Tomorrow the Lord will do this thing in the land.” ⁶ So the Lord did this thing on the next day, and ^(DB)all the livestock of Egypt died; ^(DC)but of the livestock of the sons of Israel, not one died. ⁷ Pharaoh sent, and behold, there was not even one of the livestock of Israel dead. But ^(DD)the heart of Pharaoh was ^[bu]hardened, and he did not let the people go.

The Plague of Boils

⁸ Then the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Take for yourselves handfuls of soot from a kiln, and let Moses throw it toward the sky in the sight of Pharaoh. ⁹ It will become fine dust over all the land of Egypt, and will become ^(DE)boils breaking out with sores on man and beast through all the land of Egypt.” ¹⁰ So they took soot from a kiln, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses threw it toward the sky, and it became boils breaking out with sores on man and beast. ^11 (DF)The ^[bv]magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils, for the boils were on the magicians ^[bw]as well as on all the Egyptians. ¹² And ^(DG)the Lord ^[bx]hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not listen to them, just as the Lord had spoken to Moses.

¹³ Then the Lord said to Moses, “^(DH)Rise up early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, “^(DI)Let My people go, that they may serve Me. ¹⁴ For this time I will send all My plagues ^[by]on you and your servants and your people, so that ^(DJ)you may know that there is no one like Me in all the earth. ¹⁵ For if by now I had put forth My hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, you would then have been cut off from the earth. ¹⁶ But, indeed, ^(DK)for this reason I have allowed you to ^[bz]remain, in order to show you My power and in order to proclaim My name through all the earth. ¹⁷ Still you exalt yourself against My people ^[ca]by not letting them go.

The Plague of Hail

¹⁸ Behold, about this time tomorrow, ^(DL)I will ^[cb]send a very heavy hail, such as has not been seen in Egypt from the day it was founded ^[cc]until now. ¹⁹ Now therefore send, bring ^(DM)your livestock and whatever you have in the field to safety. ^(DN)Every man and beast that is found in the field and is not brought home, when the hail comes down on them, will die.”’” ^20 (DO)The one among the servants of Pharaoh who ^[cd]feared the word of the Lord made his servants and his livestock flee into the houses; ²¹ but he who ^[ce]paid no regard to the word of the Lord ^[cf]left his servants and his livestock in the field.

²² Now the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that ^[cg](DP)hail may fall on all the land of Egypt, on man and on beast and on every plant of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.” ²³ Moses stretched out his staff toward the sky, and the Lord ^[ch]sent ^[ci]thunder and ^(DQ)hail, and fire ran down to the earth. And the Lord rained hail on the land of Egypt. ²⁴ So there was hail, and fire ^[cj]flashing continually in the midst of the hail, very severe, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation. ^25 (DR)The hail struck all that was in the field through all the land of Egypt, both man and beast; the hail also struck every plant of the field and shattered every tree of the field. ^26 (DS)Only in the land of Goshen, where the sons of Israel were, there was no hail.

²⁷ Then Pharaoh ^[ck](DT)sent for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “^(DU)I have sinned this time; the Lord is the righteous one, and I and my people are the wicked ones. ^28 (DV)Make supplication to the Lord, for there has been enough of God’s ^[cl]thunder and hail; and ^(DW)I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.” ²⁹ Moses said to him, “As soon as I go out of the city, I will ^(DX)spread out my ^[cm]hands to the Lord; the ^[cn]thunder will cease and there will be hail no longer, that you may know that ^(DY)the earth is the Lord’s. ^30 (DZ)But as for you and your servants, I know that ^(EA)you do not yet ^[co]fear ^[cp]the Lord God.” ³¹ (Now the flax and the ^(EB)barley were ^[cq]ruined, for the barley was in the ear and the flax was in bud. ³² But the wheat and the spelt were not ^[cr]ruined, for they ripen late.) ^33 (EC)So Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread out his ^[cs]hands to the Lord; and the ^[ct]thunder and the hail ceased, and rain ^[cu]no longer poured on the earth. ³⁴ But when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the ^[cv]thunder had ceased, he sinned again and ^[cw]hardened his heart, he and his servants. ³⁵ Pharaoh’s heart was ^[cx]hardened, and he did not let the sons of Israel go, just as the ^(ED)Lord had spoken through Moses.

Israel Regathered

²⁵ ‘Thus says the Lord God, “When I ^(A)gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and will manifest My holiness in them in the sight of the nations, then they will ^(B)live in their ^[a]land which I gave to My servant Jacob. ²⁶ They will ^(C)live in it securely; and they will ^(D)build houses, plant vineyards and live securely when I ^(E)execute judgments upon all who scorn them round about them. Then they will know that I am the Lord their God.”’”

Judgment of Egypt

29 In the ^(F)tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth of the month, the word of the Lord came to me saying, ² “Son of man, set your face against ^(G)Pharaoh king of Egypt and prophesy against him and against all ^(H)Egypt. ³ Speak and say, ‘Thus says the Lord ^[b]God,

⁸ ‘Therefore thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I will ^(Q)bring upon you a sword and I will cut off from you man and beast. ⁹ The ^(R)land of Egypt will become a desolation and waste. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

Because ^[m]you ^(S)said, ‘The Nile is mine, and I have made it,’ ¹⁰ therefore, behold, I am ^(T)against you and against your ^[n]rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt an utter waste and desolation, from Migdol to Syene and even to the border of ^[o]Ethiopia. ¹¹ A man’s foot will ^(U)not pass through it, and the foot of a beast will not pass through it, and it will not be inhabited for forty years. ¹² So I will make the land of Egypt a desolation in the ^(V)midst of desolated lands. And her cities, in the midst of cities that are laid waste, will be desolate forty years; and I will ^(W)scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them among the lands.”

¹³ ‘For thus says the Lord God, “At the end of forty years I will ^(X)gather the Egyptians from the peoples ^[p]among whom they were scattered. ¹⁴ I will turn the fortunes of Egypt and make them return to the land of ^(Y)Pathros, to the land of their origin, and there they will be a lowly kingdom. ¹⁵ It will be the ^(Z)lowest of the kingdoms, and it will never again lift itself up above the nations. And I will make them so small that they will not ^(AA)rule over the nations. ¹⁶ And it will never again be the ^(AB)confidence of the house of Israel, ^[q](AC)bringing to mind the iniquity of their having turned ^[r]to Egypt. Then they will know that I am the Lord God.”’”

¹⁷ Now in the ^(AD)twenty-seventh year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the word of the Lord came to me saying, ¹⁸ “Son of man, ^(AE)Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon made his army labor ^[s]hard against Tyre; every head was made ^(AF)bald and every shoulder was rubbed bare. But he and his army had no wages from Tyre for the labor that he had ^[t]performed against it.” ¹⁹ Therefore thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I ^(AG)will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. And he will carry off her ^[u](AH)wealth and capture her spoil and seize her plunder; and it will be wages for his army. ²⁰ I have given him the land of Egypt for his labor which he ^[v](AI)performed, because they acted for Me,” declares the Lord God.

²¹ “On that day I will make a ^(AJ)horn sprout for the house of Israel, and I will ^[w](AK)open your mouth in their midst. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”

Six Bowls of Wrath

16 Then I heard a loud voice from ^(A)the ^[a]temple, saying to the ^(B)seven angels, “Go and ^(C)pour out ^[b]on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”

² So the first angel went and poured out his bowl ^[c](D)on the earth; and it became a loathsome and malignant ^(E)sore on the ^[d]people ^(F)who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.

³ The second angel poured out his bowl ^(G)into the sea, and it became blood like that of a dead man; and every living ^[e]thing in the sea died.

⁴ Then the third angel poured out his bowl into the ^(H)rivers and the springs of waters; and they ^(I)became blood. ⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters saying, “^(J)Righteous are You, ^(K)who are and who were, O ^(L)Holy One, because You ^(M)judged these things; ⁶ for they poured out ^(N)the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them ^(O)blood to drink. They ^[f]deserve it.” ⁷ And I heard ^(P)the altar saying, “Yes, O ^(Q)Lord God, the Almighty, ^(R)true and righteous are Your judgments.”

⁸ The fourth angel poured out his bowl upon ^(S)the sun, ^(T)and it was given to it to scorch men with fire. ⁹ Men were scorched with ^[g]fierce heat; and they ^(U)blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they ^(V)did not repent so as to ^(W)give Him glory.

¹⁰ Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the ^(X)throne of the beast, and his kingdom became ^(Y)darkened; and they gnawed their tongues because of pain, ¹¹ and they ^(Z)blasphemed the ^(AA)God of heaven because of their pains and their ^(AB)sores; and they ^(AC)did not repent of their deeds.

¹² The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the ^(AD)great river, the Euphrates; and ^(AE)its water was dried up, so that ^(AF)the way would be prepared for the kings ^(AG)from the ^[h]east.

Armageddon

¹³ And I saw coming out of the mouth of the ^(AH)dragon and out of the mouth of the ^(AI)beast and out of the mouth of the ^(AJ)false prophet, three ^(AK)unclean spirits like ^(AL)frogs; ¹⁴ for they are ^(AM)spirits of demons, ^(AN)performing signs, which go out to the kings of the ^(AO)whole ^[i]world, to ^(AP)gather them together for the war of the ^(AQ)great day of God, the Almighty. ¹⁵ (“Behold, ^(AR)I am coming like a thief. ^(AS)Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, ^(AT)so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.”) ¹⁶ And they ^(AU)gathered them together to the place which ^(AV)in Hebrew is called ^[j](AW)Har-Magedon.

Seventh Bowl of Wrath

¹⁷ Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon ^(AX)the air, and a ^(AY)loud voice came out of the ^[k](AZ)temple from the throne, saying, “^(BA)It is done.” ¹⁸ And there were flashes of ^(BB)lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was ^(BC)a great earthquake, ^(BD)such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty. ^19 (BE)The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the ^[l]nations fell. ^(BF)Babylon the great was ^(BG)remembered before God, to give her ^(BH)the cup of the wine of ^[m]His fierce wrath. ²⁰ And ^(BI)every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. ²¹ And ^(BJ)huge ^[n]hailstones, about ^[o]one hundred pounds each, *came down from heaven upon men; and men ^(BK)blasphemed God because of the ^(BL)plague of the hail, because its plague *was extremely ^[p]severe.
