^21 (A)“Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest. In plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.

^12 (A)“Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your servant woman, and the alien, may be refreshed.

¹⁴ But ^(A)the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus ^(B)had healed on the Sabbath, said to the people, ^(C)“There are six days in which work ought to be done. Come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.”

¹² And he will appoint for himself commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and some ^(A)to plow his ground and to reap his harvest, and to make his implements of war and the equipment of his chariots.

⁴ And the elders of that city shall bring the heifer down to a valley with running water, which is neither plowed nor sown, and shall break the heifer's neck there in the valley.

^2 (A)Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.

⁵⁶ Then they returned and ^(A)prepared spices and ointments.

On the Sabbath they rested ^(B)according to the commandment.

²⁴ and ^(A)the oxen and the donkeys that work the ground will eat seasoned fodder, which has been winnowed with shovel and fork.

¹² “‘Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. ¹³ Six days you shall labor and do all your work, ¹⁴ but ^(A)the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter or your male servant or your female servant, or your ox or your donkey or any of your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates, ^(B)that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you. ^15 (C)You shall remember that you were a slave^[a] in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there ^(D)with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.

^9 (A)Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, ¹⁰ but the ^(B)seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the ^(C)sojourner who is within your gates. ¹¹ For ^(D)in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
