^31 (A)And I will set your border from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates,^[a] for ^(B)I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.

¹⁸ On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, ^(A)“To your offspring I give^[a] this land, from ^(B)the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates,

^24 (A)Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours. Your territory shall be ^(B)from the wilderness to^[a] the Lebanon and from the River, the river Euphrates, to the western sea.

^44 (A)And the Lord gave them rest on every side just as he had sworn to their fathers. ^(B)Not one of all their enemies had withstood them, for ^(C)the Lord had given all their enemies into their hands.

^4 (A)From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun shall be your territory.

^3 (A)your south side shall be from the wilderness of Zin alongside Edom, and your southern border shall run from the end of ^(B)the Salt Sea on the east. ⁴ And your border shall turn south of ^(C)the ascent of Akrabbim, and cross to Zin, and its limit shall be south of Kadesh-barnea. Then it shall go on to ^(D)Hazar-addar, and pass along to Azmon. ⁵ And the border shall turn ^(E)from Azmon to ^(F)the Brook of Egypt, and its limit shall be at the sea.

⁶ “For the western border, you shall have the Great Sea and its^[a] coast. This shall be your western border.

⁷ “This shall be your northern border: from the Great Sea you shall draw a line to ^(G)Mount Hor. ⁸ From Mount Hor you shall draw a line ^(H)to Lebo-hamath, and the limit of the border shall be at ^(I)Zedad. ⁹ Then the border shall extend to Ziphron, and its limit shall be at ^(J)Hazar-enan. This shall be your northern border.

¹⁰ “You shall draw a line for your eastern border from Hazar-enan to Shepham. ¹¹ And the border shall go down from Shepham to ^(K)Riblah on the east side of Ain. And the border shall go down and reach to the shoulder of ^(L)the Sea of Chinnereth on the east. ¹² And the border shall go down to the Jordan, and its limit shall be at ^(M)the Salt Sea. This shall be your land as defined by its borders all around.”

¹³ Moses commanded the people of Israel, saying, ^(N)“This is the land that you shall inherit by lot, which the Lord has commanded to give to the nine tribes and to the half-tribe. ^14 (O)For the tribe of the people of Reuben by fathers' houses and the tribe of the people of Gad by their fathers' houses have received their inheritance, and also the half-tribe of Manasseh. ¹⁵ The two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan east of Jericho, toward the sunrise.”

²⁴ For he had dominion over all the region west of the Euphrates^[a] from Tiphsah to ^(A)Gaza, over all the kings west of the Euphrates. ^(B)And he had peace on all sides around him.

²¹ And the Lord, the God of Israel, gave Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they defeated them. So Israel took possession of all the land of the Amorites, who inhabited that country.
