¹⁰ Since then, no prophet^(A) has risen in Israel like Moses,^(B) whom the Lord knew face to face,^{(C) 11} who did all those signs and wonders^(D) the Lord sent him to do in Egypt—to Pharaoh and to all his officials^(E) and to his whole land. ¹² For no one has^(F) ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds^(G) that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.

³ (Now Moses was a very humble man,^(A) more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)

⁴ At once the Lord said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, “Come out to the tent of meeting, all three of you.” So the three of them went out. ⁵ Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud;^(B) he stood at the entrance to the tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them stepped forward, ⁶ he said, “Listen to my words:

⁹ The anger of the Lord burned against them,^(K) and he left them.^(L)
