10 Since then, no prophet(A) has risen in Israel like Moses,(B) whom the Lord knew face to face,(C) 11 who did all those signs and wonders(D) the Lord sent him to do in Egypt—to Pharaoh and to all his officials(E) and to his whole land. 12 For no one has(F) ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds(G) that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.

(Now Moses was a very humble man,(A) more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)

At once the Lord said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, “Come out to the tent of meeting, all three of you.” So the three of them went out. Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud;(B) he stood at the entrance to the tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them stepped forward, he said, “Listen to my words:

“When there is a prophet among you,
    I, the Lord, reveal(C) myself to them in visions,(D)
    I speak to them in dreams.(E)
But this is not true of my servant Moses;(F)
    he is faithful in all my house.(G)
With him I speak face to face,
    clearly and not in riddles;(H)
    he sees the form of the Lord.(I)
Why then were you not afraid
    to speak against my servant Moses?”(J)

The anger of the Lord burned against them,(K) and he left them.(L)
