¹² Because of this the king became ^(A)indignant and very furious and said for them to destroy all the wise men of Babylon. ¹³ So the law went forth that the wise men were to be killed; and they sought out ^(B)Daniel and his friends to ^[a]kill them.

⁶ But whoever does not fall down and worship shall ^[a]immediately be ^(A)cast into the midst of a ^(B)furnace of blazing fire.”

³ And a ^(A)mighty king will stand, and he will ^[a]dominate with great ^[b]domination and ^(B)do as he pleases.

¹⁶ But he who comes against him will ^(A)do as he pleases, and ^(B)no one will be able to stand in ^[a]opposition to him; he will also stand for a time in the ^[b](C)Beautiful Land, with destruction in his hand.

³⁶ “Then the king will ^(A)do as he pleases, and he will exalt and ^(B)magnify himself above every god and will ^(C)speak ^[a]astonishing things against the ^(D)God of gods; and he will succeed until the ^(E)indignation is finished, for that which is ^(F)decreed will be done.
