⁷ The angel of the Lord^(A) encamps around those who fear him,
    and he delivers^(B) them.

⁸ Taste and see that the Lord is good;^(C)
    blessed is the one who takes refuge^(D) in him.

¹¹ They triumphed over^(A) him
    by the blood of the Lamb^(B)
    and by the word of their testimony;^(C)
they did not love their lives so much
    as to shrink from death.^(D)

¹¹ For the Lord God is a sun^(A) and shield;^(B)
    the Lord bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does he withhold^(C)
    from those whose walk is blameless.

¹² Lord Almighty,
    blessed^(D) is the one who trusts in you.

⁴ In you our ancestors put their trust;
    they trusted and you delivered them.^(A)
5 To you they cried out^(B) and were saved;
    in you they trusted^(C) and were not put to shame.^(D)

¹¹ the Lord delights^(A) in those who fear him,^(B)
    who put their hope^(C) in his unfailing love.^(D)
