²⁸Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”

²⁹And Paul said, ^(A)“I would to God that not only you, but also all who hear me today, might become both almost and altogether such as I am, except for these chains.”

²⁸Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?”^(A)

²⁹Paul replied, “Short time or long—I pray to God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains.”^(B)

³⁰The king rose, and with him the governor and Bernice^(C) and those sitting with them.
