2 When the day of Pentecost^(A) came, they were all together^(B) in one place.

⁶ so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify^(A) the God and Father^(B) of our Lord Jesus Christ.

² then make my joy complete^(A) by being like-minded,^(B) having the same love, being one^(C) in spirit and of one mind.

¹³ When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room^(A) where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James.^{(B) 14} They all joined together constantly in prayer,^(C) along with the women^(D) and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.^(E)

¹⁵ In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty)

⁸ But I will stay on at Ephesus^(A) until Pentecost,^(B)

²⁷ Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy^(A) of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm^(B) in the one Spirit,^[a] striving together^(C) as one for the faith of the gospel

The Believers Share Their Possessions

³² All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.^(A)

The Festival of Weeks^(A)

¹⁵ “‘From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks. ¹⁶ Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath,^(B) and then present an offering of new grain to the Lord. ¹⁷ From wherever you live, bring two loaves made of two-tenths of an ephah^(C) of the finest flour, baked with yeast, as a wave offering of firstfruits^(D) to the Lord. ¹⁸ Present with this bread seven male lambs, each a year old and without defect, one young bull and two rams. They will be a burnt offering to the Lord, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings^(E)—a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord. ¹⁹ Then sacrifice one male goat for a sin offering^[a] and two lambs, each a year old, for a fellowship offering. ²⁰ The priest is to wave the two lambs before the Lord as a wave offering,^(F) together with the bread of the firstfruits. They are a sacred offering to the Lord for the priest. ²¹ On that same day you are to proclaim a sacred assembly^(G) and do no regular work.^(H) This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.
